CD/DVD drive suddenly stopped responding

Hello

I recently bought an article for my computer, which forces me to use a CD to install some stuff, and I just noticed that my CD/DVD drive has a problem. Here's what he said when I check the properties:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I have never experienced this problem before, and I don't know what could be causing it. I rarely use my CD/DVD player, except in cases where I need to install something. I have looked around for a little help from Google, tried to use a common solution that people suggested on other errors on the CD/DVD drive, such as uninstall, restart the system and let it do its thing, but it doesn't seem to work, because it still gives me the error. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if this is the incorrect section after that in. I never joined a forum like this and am not really warned when it comes to computers.

Edit - my CD/DVD driver is: HP DVD A DH16AAL SCSI CdRom Device

Hello:

Try the auto fix for MS tool:

http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/

If AutoCorrect does not work, try the manual fix.

Look under the section "Fix it myself."

    Hi people,

Recently (2 weeks ago) I started having some slight problems with my X 500, to be more precise Windows sometimes reports that the driver has stopped responding, but managed to restarted. When this happens the screen goes black, flashes several times and turns back on. But the strange thing is that this happens when the laptop has been used for MS Word/Excel/IE and high intensity graphic has been past nothing since he has been powered.

My first thought was to update the drivers, since Toshiba downloaded the new nVidia ones a few weeks ago, but the problem persists. So I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems and what would be the best way to solve it? Would it be possible that something is wrong even with the gpu itself?

    Hi Snowy161_1,

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and the solution is pretty easy: update the display driver. I removed the current version and restarted the laptop. Then I used CCleaner to remove the keys in the Windows registry and restarted again. Finally and most importantly, I downloaded and installed the new display from here:

    Hello

Have you checked in the Device Manager if the CD/DVD player display correctly?
    Please check this!

As a follow-up, I would recommend removing the reader of CD/DVD of the crèche of the device a restarting the laptop.
The Windows operating system should recognize the new device (ODD) and should load the drivers again.

Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    and reboot.

  • P70 Intel HD 530 display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

Once or twice during the day I get a black screen and then a notification Windows 10 saying "display driver stopped responding and has recovered.

In which case the log, the following event is recorded: "display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

I updated the Intel graphics driver via windows 20.19.15.4352 mechanism and the frequency of the message seems to be reduced. However I understand 3-5 times a day.

Go to control PANEL, then select MANAGER of DEVICES. Then select the selection of GRAPHICS cards. You should see Intel(r) HD GRAPHICS 530 and NVIDIA QUADRO M600M. For each, open (by double clicking), select UPDATE DRIVER and select SEARCH AUTOMATICALLY for UPDATED DRIVER SOFTWARE. There should be updates for each.

When both are installed, stop and restart. After the reboot, you may need to go into control PANEL, then select NVIDIA control PANEL. Select MANAGE 3D SETTINGS. Under FAVORITE the CPU GRAPH, select SELECTION AUTOMATIC, and then click APPLY. (If you are still running on AC you can choose NVIDIA PROCESSOR HIGH PERFORMANCE).

  • display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered

So, about a week ago I checked the nVidia website to see if there was no news available drivers for my card (XFX GeForce 9600 GSO) and there was. Installiation was simple then a restart. After reboot, I thought that I would play Call of Duty 4 and after 5-10 minutes of play my screen goes black and it appears with a small warning sign in the region of noticfication "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered successfully."

The pc will be a blue screen with a nvlddmkm.sys error or it goes off and nothing will work
forcing me to turn off by the power button. I had never met moyenessentiel before you install the latest drivers.
After looking for some fix on google, I couldn't find
something solid. So I opened the Device Manager and clicked on graphics cards
    and redeployed the pilot.
Still no luck. Most of the games I played this error still appeared. I tried all the drivers on the nVidia site
that are suitable for my card. The drivers on thecd also included witht that card and they do not seem to work either.
I installed the drivers with Windows Live OneCare disabled, disabled UAC and nothing running
in the background, such as recommended by nVidia. Still nothing works. I have the Sims 3, Call of Duty 4,
Call of duty: World at War, Halo 2 for Vista and HAWX installed. The only one

  • WOW/graphics error "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was retrieved successfully."

Help, please. On the next computer I have terrible crash problems while playing WoW. Critical error WOW States: "not enough memory to process command - 11 538 bytes requested."

When running 3D Mark Vantage I can reproduce the "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered successfully.

    Processor Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
    Details of the component
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 graphics
4 095 MB total graphics memory available graphic set
Main hard drive 53GB free (140 GB Total)
64 bit version with service PAC 2 Vista Ultamate

Forums are full of posters indicating that it is a Vista / Nvidea incompatibility problem that has been around for years and that the problem is not treated. I tried everything I can think of, check the RAM to download new drivers, to the removal of unnecessary records of WOW. I reinstalled everything, run each diagnostic tool in the plane, patches downloaded, checked for the virus and still no help.

I am currently able to play WOW on the smaller graphics settings and avoid cities. With this level of equipment, it's a shame, really, I should be able to do more.

Did anyone have any suggestions of what I can do at this point?

OK, I did a lot of research on this issue.  The problem lies in the Blizzard, most of the time.

World of Warcraft is a set of 32 bits.  Because it is strictly 32 bit, it only has access to 2 gigabytes of memory.  Windows manages the other 2 giga of addressable space.

Most of the developers of games flag their games before the compile time to use larger amounts of memory.  Blizzard doesn't do this, because their anti-cheat system and third-party tools rely on the 32-bit addressing and address 64-bit would mean that they must all be rewritten.

What happens in the game, is that your footprint large capacity memory card is mapped in the game.  In general, it is when your settings are high, because it uses the most memory, which explains why the game is playable when you use minimal settings.  Given that the configuration of your particular graphics card uses close to 2 gig of RAM itself, quickly force you the game short of memory addressable space.

To resolve this problem, you may be able to play with reduced settings.  Reduce your resolution is usually the best way to limit the use of memory, since it increases exponential use RAM when you increase the resolution.  You might have to play with different parameters.  You can open the upward Task Manager and monitor the use of your memory WoW game to see where the sweet spot is maintaining your memory under control.

Blizzard will have to make the difficult choice to eventually allow access extended memory.  More people are buying equipment like yours, this problem will be more widespread.

  • Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered successfully after sleep, and then blue screen

original title: display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered successfully after sleep, then BSOD.

Well, if not some time ago, we got a Nvidia GeForce 240GT video card. We used an ATI Radion 3460 I think and it worked normally. Then when we got the nVidia card, we started to see the problems. Occasionally, he would show the blue screen of death. I tried to reproduce the error and came to an interesting conclusion. Whenever I put the computer in sleep mode turn off mode 'sleep', I wait a bit and then the login screen appears. I connect and it shows me the "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and was recovered successfully. Then after that, if I go on YouTube and try to watch a video, the computer hangs and a BSOD would leap upward. I am angry. I used "standby mode" so and with the new map video, everything got worse. I tested this problem on Windows Vista and 7. And btw, the drivers are up-to-date, I made sure the driver nvlddmkm himself file is up-to-date, and temperatures are perfect.

update the drivers from NVIDIA. Also make sure that your power supply is powerful enough to handle the new nVIDIA card. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

  • DVD-CD ROM DRIVE SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING

My DVD - CD rom suddenly stopped working.  It does not appear on my computer.  In Device Manager, it shows the exclamation point in a yellow triangle and has the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device.  The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39).  I tried updating the driver, and he said that the best updated driver is already installed.  But it won't work.  When I put a disc in, the green light as it tries to work, but nothing.  In the properties in Device Manager, he suggested looking for a microsoft solution and I did it and there is no solutions.  Help, please!  I have install all the recommended and important updates, I have this game automatically.  I have Vista service pack 2.  Apart from this, the computer works fine.  I appreciate any help you can offer.  Thank you.

    Hello

Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.

    Do this - control panel - Device Manager 1 - click double-click on the drive - CD/DVD
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Now LAW
Click on - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
    them before.
