DVD-CD ROM DRIVE SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING
My DVD - CD rom suddenly stopped working. It does not appear on my computer. In Device Manager, it shows the exclamation point in a yellow triangle and has the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). I tried updating the driver, and he said that the best updated driver is already installed. But it won't work. When I put a disc in, the green light as it tries to work, but nothing. In the properties in Device Manager, he suggested looking for a microsoft solution and I did it and there is no solutions. Help, please! I have install all the recommended and important updates, I have this game automatically. I have Vista service pack 2. Apart from this, the computer works fine. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.
Hello
Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.
Do this - control panel - Device Manager 1 - click double-click on the drive - CD/DVD
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Now LAW
Click on - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.
Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
them before.

Other possibilities include loose contacts or cables and maybe a bad disc.
Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura
ones. Also check the website of the manufacturer of the car.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Hello
This is not an answer to your question but can solve the problem if it is the same that I had.
In my case, the drive tries to spin but it slips. Only the motor shaft rotates and the drive remains at low revolutions that were not even stationary.
The problem was caused by the fact that the plastic part (black color) of the mechanism which engages the disc (CD or DVD) slips on the
motor drive, axle and th couldn't do a full rotation or runs at the specified speed.
The solution is to delete the article in plastic and put a small amount of super glue on the axle and then put it back.Where there is a similar issue, I hope that solve you it like I did.

M40: DVD/CD-RW drive has stopped working.
Good day all. I have a Toshiba Satellite M40.
For a long time, my DVD/CD-RW player just stopped working. She stopped reading any kind of optical discs - no data, no DVD or CD of music.
The first step I took was to re - install the Windows XP operating system. It worked, but the problem comes back shortly after. The second time, I had to install the drive manually, and that worked for a while.
The problem came back a third time, but this time, the disc of additional software supplied with the notebook, which includes the driver for the drive, does not. I get an error reading 'CD-ROM drive not found '. I tried to reinstall the operating system, but the drive does not read the product recovery CD. Windows starts just straight up normally.
So, my faithful laptop for some reason any does not recognize the existence of the DVD/CD-RW drive, and I am at a loss for what to do. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance,
Desperate Nigeria :(

My DVD/CD drive has suddenly stopped working under Windows 7
Ive been using Windows 7 for about 6 months now with on any trouble until recently my DVD drive has suddenly stopped working. Windows detects the drive but when I double click on it in my computer it says please insert disc. I find the drive in Device Manager and windows recognises that there is an error that says:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
I tried to uninstall the drivers in Manager device and rebooted the computer to let auto windows find the driver and reinstall it but to start, I get a message that says:
Device not installed driver software
I know that the drive is fine because it works fine in Ubuntu Linux system he worked great in windows 7, so stopped. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Go to the Web site of the factory, download the driver appropriate for your device. Uninstall the driver that is currently installed and uninstall the device in Device Manager. Reboot... After you restart, you have 1 of 2 options depending on how the software is packed from the manufacturing. (A) put an end to the automatic Windows installation feature and use the downloaded software to take care of it for you... If that's how it is set up to operate or (b) wait for windows to auto-trouvez and try to install the device, and when he asked the pilots to open and extract files downloaded to any location you choose and point the installer of windows in this direction.

Satellite C650 - sound suddenly stopped working
Hello.
I bought this laptop the month last November.
in any case, around a week or two ago, the noise suddenly would not work.He started making strange noises when I put in the headphones and speakers just made no noise at all never.
I did a lot of weird things - like system restore, reinstall audio drivers but nothing worked until I updated the bios, then everything went well and the sound worked again. However, today, the sound suddenly stopped working again. I tried to re - install the current bios but InsydeFlash says: "the version of the ROM file is the same BIOS version" and just closes.
I searched the internet for an older version of the bios, but when I try to install it, InsydeFlash said: 'the version of the ROM file is not newer than the version of the BIOS' and of course, I know that but then it closes too!
I'm not really good at computers or anything, any help at all would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Hello
I recommend checking some options first;
-check if mute is not activated
-check if all the volume controls are set to a higher value
-check if the sound using headphonesIf this is not successful, you must reinstall the audio driver.
First go to Device Manager and uninstall the audio driver. Restart the device
Download the audio driver from the Toshiba page, then reinstall it. Reboot once again and test the sound. -
DVD/CD rom drive reads CDs but does not read the DVD.
My Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop has a DVD/CD rom drive. It loads all the CD I want and them automatically opens on the D drive. When I put in a DVD movie it will not play. I open my computer, and then look at the D drive, and it does not even recognize that there is a DVD inside but it shows a screen of a CD that I put in there. This tells me that it works and it has a green light on the side which shows. Also, when I insert the DVD it makes sounds as it tries to recognize, but then it stops and does not appear. Can anyone help? I really appreciate it. I'm not very savvy computer. I know that some in this topic because I am a teacher and try to catch up with things, but I'm certainly no computer technology. Thank you very much! Let me know if I need to give more info. I think the reader is Sony CRX835EK but I'm not 100% sure on this one here.
If your Player reads cd but not dvd which indicates that the material works very well. You need to change the registry inorder to solve this problem.1) click on the start menu
2) click on 'run '.
(3) type "regedit" and click ok
4) go to the key of the string "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
(5) delete "upper filters" and "lower in the right window.
(6) right click on my computer in the start menu.
7) click on properties
8) go to the Hardware tab
9) click on Device Manager
(10) expand the dvd/cdrom drives
(11) made a right click the dvd rom and click on uninstall
(12) restart the computerAfter the reboot, windows should automatically install a ROM clean disc and read DVDs very well if you have the correctDVDdecoders
