  I want to spend my production server (7.02) 8.01, but I can't find the function "create archive of CAR".  It is not in the packaging and deployment appearing in the admin program (there only Archive J2EE).  I've updated a test to 8.01 server (don't care about the configuration settings), but I don't see a tab of the packaging and deployment at all here.  I have a local install of CF 7 and there no tab and function of archive of CAR.  I have to activate to achieve this functionality?  Another way to back up and restore settings for the upgrade to 8.01?   Find your license.properties file (it should be in #cf_home #/ lib).

  Replace the serial number with the developer:

  sn=Developer
  

  and restart CF. it should work.

  I'm about to use the BES API to make integration work. According to the online documentation (http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/40686/jba1323369308846.jsp) all I need is the Apache CXF, however, if I look at the code example (https://github.com/blackberry/BWS-Samples/blob/master/SampleBwsClient.java) I also need the package com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin. I guess that's part of some SDK. Where can I get the miserable thing? TIA

  Yes, wsdl2java.bat will create the proxy together.

  You will need the BES in place before doing this. The steps only take a few minutes and there is no much test/development that can be done until the BES is available in any case.

• How can I use CC Manager package to deploy the software trial versions?

  We are interested in licensing Adobe InCopy CC (2015) for some users, but first we want to deploy/install the trial version for these users can use/test InCopy and make sure that it meets their requirements. I could manually download/install the trial on each workstation, but we prefer to use deployment strategies of Central/silent as much as possible, to be more effective and the least disruptive/intrusive to the user as possible.

  We use CC Packager to create an installer for a free trial of InCopy CC and if so, how would I go to this topic?

• [SOLVED] Problems of packaging and deploying an application in an external WLS ADF

  I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0, who has a WebLogic Server embedded 10.3.5.

  When I test my application by right clicking on my page and run... in WLS on-board, everything works perfectly.

  It works with any page and any flow.

  Now, I have to deploy the same application to an external 10.3.6 WLS

  First of all, I have the application package in one EAR to aid Assistant JDeveloper. I did right click in application-> Deploy-> MyApplication...-> select deploy ear...

  
  

  Then, when .ear file is built, I run startWebLogic (I have already created a domain with the ADF operating options) and deploy the .ear as an app.

  I have a lot of warnings, but the final message is deployment is ok.

  It is therefore my surprise that I get a NullPointerException in the first page I test in the first access to an ADF/view iterator in the Java class:

  This had worked many times in embedded 10.3.5 WLS.

  Well, I finally solved my problem.

  The steps are:

  • Configure WL 10.3.6 as a WLS incorporated in JDeveloper.
  • Configure WLS Diagnostics: http://jdeveloperfaq.blogspot.com.es/2009/12/faq-7-how-to-configure-adf-diagnostics.html
  • Run applications in WLS 10.3.6. Now, there are a lot of newspapers, and I see the problem in the DataBindings file. AppModule connection name and reference data binding to this AppModule were mismatch. FIX: http://www.emmersonmiranda.net/2011/07/jbo-33005-configuration-appmodulelocal.html
  • Then, a Classic JNDI fail. It is very important the name of data source JDBC with certain agreements with the login name. See this: http://mrk-group.blogspot.com.es/2011/11/unable-to-lookup-data-source-at-context.html

  Now, let me ask another question.

  I have change the DB connection (not the name, is not posible) to another user in the same DB schema. I want to check if the application still works and it does. But why? My test is right?

• FA framework developed in Admin mode after deployment

  I had to uninstall and reinstall the service of the Foundation on our HTTP server and also acquire the WL 10.1.3.5 for all servers. After that, we transferred all products. The Foundation Service starts without any problems, but when I run R & A and EAS, these 2 products fail with the error of deployments and begin in ADMINISTRATOR mode. We also tried to remove the WL of deployments and and run the Setup program to deploy. The question remains the same. Would really appreciate any help.

  This means that there is a missing file pot and I suspect this may be due to the upgrade of WL. Did you follow all of the steps required to upgrade WL?

  You must watch the weblogic application. XML file ro R & A Web App Framework and see what xerces jar file it needs. I did a search on one of my servers and I saw of multiple xerces*.jar file in different locations (common EPM, Server Admin, etc.)

  I'm following tutorial at http://static.springsource.org/docs/Spring-MVC-step-by-step/part1.html. I use jDev 11g as IDE and its weblogic integrated as a server.
  I did fact index.jsp and web.xml, as stated in the tutorial. In step * '1.8. Create the controller "* where HelloController.java is created, I am getting following error."

  Check what browser is set in your toole-> preferences-> Web browser and proxy.

  Insofar as the log files - depends on where you are looking for. The embedded WebLogic Server is usually in a directory such as:
  C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.2.0.38.60.17\DefaultDomain\servers\DefaultServer\logs

• Packaging and deploying my Application

  I have my application (MyApplication.jad, MyApplication.cod).  Cod is large enough and has 3 cod brother.  The application deploys perfectly OTA using the .jad file.

  Fast forward to a few weeks, I've added a new "helper API' (pot of part 3) for MyApplication, called, let say, MyApplicationHelper.jar.  I can refer to this pot in fine Eclipse by adding it to the road to build.  When I create a separate library for this pot project in Eclipse and run this thru preverify and Cap pot, it produces a .jad file and a file with 1 sibling .cod.

  How can I associate this cod 'library' with the cod of the application.  I ran updatejad.exe and apparently not combine anything.

  What is the concept here? Is Cap 'import' attribute expected to combine the .jar in the main cod-dependent?

  False alarm, I got it to work.  The updatejad.exe used the flag - q, resulting in the loss of the error messages. I disabled that flag and it was a mistake to locate the cod files.

  I created a web application of Fusion that has projects and model-ViewController.
  I created a profile like below for each project deployment.
  (1) model - which creates a "ADF library Jar file.
  (2) ViewController - that creates a file of 'war '.
  
  I see that, during the WAR, ViewController file contains model projects - the ViewObjects and the objects of entity classes.
  
  So to deploy my Applications Web is file WAR of ViewController is enough or should I create a file EAR, which has both #1 and #2

  You can of course do in JDev. Select Application-> "Application Properties" menu, in the dialog box select the deployment and set a new EAR deployment profile. It is quite easy to follow the instructions in the dialog box and you are done.

• Admin API &amp; amp; Generation of archive

  I have a lot of time watching CF8 yet and it might even be possible with CF7, but I was wondering if anyone has knowledge of the files from archive being created by using either the admin API CF or maybe some Java objects used in the CF?

  For anyone else who might come across this, I couldn't find anything in the api CF8 admin that this would facilitate. I don't know if it's possible with some Java classes, but then I can't imagine get the coldfusion server settings (the DSN, etc.) would be possible.

  If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to let me know. I'll take this as my own answer for now however.

  I created the Package CC "exsample" series of license name and disabled the Office CC Implementation Committee and selected the option "specify directory for deployment" or 'Directory to specify' in the Advanced dialog configrations.

  Just to give you some general information,
  Recently, my company rewarded by an external provider project and during one of the debates, the seller noted that they will create a package to deploy the application to the Complutense University of MADRID.
  
  I did googling and can't find what they mean by 'Package' to deploy at the Complutense University of MADRID.
  
  Can someone enlighten me on this package? or the closest guess to 'package' which mentions the name of the seller?
  
  
  Another issue here is customization of component.
  Is it true if the seller the component customization and if in the future there are upgrade/customization by another provider on the same component on different project will cause a problem for the stability of the component?

  If you work regularly with the AAU (now called WebCenter content), you should definitely review the documentation. More specifically, the developer documentation because they have really good info on the general framework.

  The quick answer is "Yes".

  Components can be extended and overridden. Actions service, services, idocscript, etc. can be changed without altering the original directly.

  Consider the following scenarios where each provider creates their own custom component:

  Screenplay #1, different parts of the original component customization

  #1 provider sets a service within ThreadedDiscussions and #2 provider sets a different service within the ThreadedDiscussions. IF the feature is mutually exclusive, then you'd have two customizations based on the ThreadedDiscussions of origin component.

  * #2 scenario, on the other hand, you can have this scenario which involves the notion of 'LoadOrder ":

  #1 provider sets a service within ThreadedDiscussions and #2 provider sets the same service. Say that the original services were merged with a 10 loadorder, the seller of #2 services were merged with a 20 loadorder, and seller services #1 was merged with a 30 loadorder.

  That would mean as that would be the #1 seller customizations last and would replace or extend the #2 provider customizations. This would have not expected by seller #1, so the regression tests may very well find bugs.

  There are many such situations that may occur. An entrepreneur would customizations existing review before starting their own development.

• Deploy an iOS of the app store in a secure workspace BES?

  My organization is developing an iOS app, currently published in the apple app store.

  We had a request from a customer who would like to package and deploy our application in a secure workspace managed by BES 12 on iOS devices they have. We do not have a system of BES.

  I looked in a number of forums, Internet blackberry sites and marketing material, and it seems that it is possible to package and deploy 'internal apps' in a secure workspace on iOS via BES, but I couldn't find anything about the app store apps.

  My questions are:

  1. is it possible for our client to take the app from the apple app store and publish it in a workspace secure via BES?

  2. If it is not possible by default, is there something we can do to allow future versions of our application to be put in work spaces secure (but always distributed through the apple app store)

  3. If it is not at all possible, which would need to send to our customers so that they to package our application as an application "internal" and deploy in the secure workspace? (for example we just send the same ipa file that we submitted to itunes connect, or does need to other settings for BES)

  Thanks for the questions.

  There are two options to bring iOS apps on workspace secure through BES.

  Option 1. Partner wrap the iOS app and deploy via Secure Workspace/BES. The packed app can be deployed through the multiple BES (customers) in-app 'For the SECTOR' and can also be downloaded from the App Store. The application can also be distributed as part of Volumn purchase Program (VPP) for customers. You can find more information on VPP here:

  Option 2. Enterprise wrap the iOS app and deploy via Secure Workspace/BES. The wrapped app can be deployable via an instance of BES as an 'In House' application. This process also requires the customer to sign up for the iOS Enterprise Development Program signed the application as an application 'In House'.

  After you install the new SDK WebWorks 2.0.0.54, I have a problem, packaging and deployment of the bars (by running either the user Web interface or in execution of a command "webworks run".) Log shows the following error (s):

  If I use the 'old' BB Tablet OS graphical help, without issues and application deployment. I tried to reinstall WebWorks (no error reported)... I checked all the file and folder permissions I could think... Nothing. Seraching forums to return null, so...

  As soon as I posted, I continued searching the forums and noticed that you run webworks with switch d for more information on the generation of power or to execute commands... - relised that my project folder have the space in the name (WebWorks projects), so renaming is invoked and now I WebProjects folder and WebWorks is build and run applications like new!

  I hope this helps someone else, I lost perfectly good day looking for a solution. At least I learned something...

• Error in deployment of Simulator for the 10 Blacbkerry 'synchronization and application launch.

  I use Momentics® IDE for BlackBerry Version: 2.0 Build id: v201310251603 with Simulator10.1.0.4828.

  Momentics seems to connect and paired with success to the Simulator. When I click "Run", it starts the process of packaging and deployment, but get the error in "synchronization and launch the application" part. There are different errors but no useful information in the dialog box. Here are two samples
