• [SOLVED] Problems of packaging and deploying an application in an external WLS ADF

  Hello.

  I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0, who has a WebLogic Server embedded 10.3.5.

  When I test my application by right clicking on my page and run... in WLS on-board, everything works perfectly.

  It works with any page and any flow.

  Now, I have to deploy the same application to an external 10.3.6 WLS

  First of all, I have the application package in one EAR to aid Assistant JDeveloper. I did right click in application-> Deploy-> MyApplication...-> select deploy ear...

  
  

  Then, when .ear file is built, I run startWebLogic (I have already created a domain with the ADF operating options) and deploy the .ear as an app.

  I have a lot of warnings, but the final message is deployment is ok.

  It is therefore my surprise that I get a NullPointerException in the first page I test in the first access to an ADF/view iterator in the Java class:

  DCIteratorBinding iter = ADFUtils.findIterator("BusinessDataView1Iterator");
  ViewObject vo = iter.getViewObject(); -- iter is null
  
  
  

  This had worked many times in embedded 10.3.5 WLS.

  I checked the .ear files (contains a .war), decompression it (the .war too) to a different folder and look for duplicates in text in any file and adfc - config.xml does exist only once in the .ear

  How can I solve this? Someone have had similar problems during deployment in an external WLS?

  Well, I finally solved my problem.

  The steps are:

  • Configure WL 10.3.6 as a WLS incorporated in JDeveloper.
  • Configure WLS Diagnostics: http://jdeveloperfaq.blogspot.com.es/2009/12/faq-7-how-to-configure-adf-diagnostics.html
  • Run applications in WLS 10.3.6. Now, there are a lot of newspapers, and I see the problem in the DataBindings file. AppModule connection name and reference data binding to this AppModule were mismatch. FIX: http://www.emmersonmiranda.net/2011/07/jbo-33005-configuration-appmodulelocal.html
  • Then, a Classic JNDI fail. It is very important the name of data source JDBC with certain agreements with the login name. See this: http://mrk-group.blogspot.com.es/2011/11/unable-to-lookup-data-source-at-context.html

  Finally, it works.

  Now, let me ask another question.

  I have change the DB connection (not the name, is not posible) to another user in the same DB schema. I want to check if the application still works and it does. But why? My test is right?

  I created a web application of Fusion that has projects and model-ViewController.
  I created a profile like below for each project deployment.
  (1) model - which creates a "ADF library Jar file.
  (2) ViewController - that creates a file of 'war '.
  
  I see that, during the WAR, ViewController file contains model projects - the ViewObjects and the objects of entity classes.
  
  So to deploy my Applications Web is file WAR of ViewController is enough or should I create a file EAR, which has both #1 and #2

  You can of course do in JDev. Select Application-> "Application Properties" menu, in the dialog box select the deployment and set a new EAR deployment profile. It is quite easy to follow the instructions in the dialog box and you are done.

• Is not my CF 7.02 admin "packaging and deployment > ColdFusion Archives (.car)" menu item

  I want to spend my production server (7.02) 8.01, but I can't find the function "create archive of CAR".  It is not in the packaging and deployment appearing in the admin program (there only Archive J2EE).  I've updated a test to 8.01 server (don't care about the configuration settings), but I don't see a tab of the packaging and deployment at all here.  I have a local install of CF 7 and there no tab and function of archive of CAR.  I have to activate to achieve this functionality?  Another way to back up and restore settings for the upgrade to 8.01? (current server: CF 7.02 Standard, Windows Server 2003, IIS)

  Find your license.properties file (it should be in #cf_home #/ lib).

  Replace the serial number with the developer:

  sn=Developer
  

  and restart CF. it should work.

  When you are using classical planning, you don't have to validate, to push metadata to essbase you go to Administration > manage the database > refresh

  No you don't need to sign in order to qualify. You will need to sign it later so that you can actually so people can actually buy/download your application.

  Yes, you should always use the tools of command line to package and sign your applications. There is a bug in the IDE that prevents it to properly sign the app here is a thread that can help you with the signature of the command line:

  All new framework OA im. I wanted to know if a solution is possible for the following scenario.
  
  We have a production server applications at a remote site for which I do not have access. I have a test application server to another location for which I can visit her profile. Now, I want to add a feature to production server. Can I use the test server to create features and deploy it to the production server. If possible, I should make the packages according to the production server? And how to deploy to the production server.   Hello

  You don't need something production server to create pages of the OFA.
  Do everything pending test or development, and finally deploy the files on the production instance.

• cRIO - creation and deployment of real-time independent startup application troubleshooting

  I use cRIO-9024 with a chassis 9112 for a control system. I use LV2011 SP1. When you run the system in development mode (by pressing the run button), everything seems to work properly. When the autonomous real-time construction and running in startup application, something stops working.

  In order to know if the application is running or not, I toggle the user LED on the cRIO using this code:

  

  When I turn off all the code in the main VI except this loop, the application deploys and runs at startup without problem (the LED flashes). I then add progressively more loops that I want to run (by disabling the code less and less), and the problem seems to be in the open FPGA VI reference block. If I disable this block, the slopes of autonomous real-time application (I guess the error 63195, handful of peripheral communication not valid, will spread along the line, but I know that the app works because the LED flashes).

  

  I tried several configurations for this block open FPGA VI and mixed results. For example, if I set it up this way:

  

  The application in real-time to start runs with the reference block opened VI FPGA active but work stoppages as soon as I turn on a code that makes use of this reference in the subVIs .

  Someone at - it an idea of what could go wrong? I have explored the messages thrown by cRIO at startup but can not see the error messages (in fact, the console output is the same when I managed to deploy an application that is running (by disabling the code). I also tried to explore the error logs (via right click on target Utilities > view error log) but cannot decrypt any useful info on their part.

  

  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

  My problem is that the code runs (apparently) ok in development mode, but it seems that, when it is deployed as a stand-alone application in real time, it does not at all. As I was not able to get messages through to watch the console output when restarting my cRIO or explore the Project Explorer error logs or error, I can only imagine what is happening.

  I feel that QFang suggestions go in the right direction, but I've yet to be able to determine the exact cause and the solution of the problem.

  The solution I set it with has been to deploy my application as a source with a start VI distribution instead of as a stand-alone application in real time. You can try this option.

  What I could try when I have some time is to clean my system from LV (whether in mass compilation or by reinstalling completely). I tried a massive compilation of vi.lib and I got a good amount of (UN) insanities, the wrong screws and several other unfortunate messages.

• Cannot get my BlackBerry packaged and signed application

  Help, please.

  I am currently submit a deployable package for testing to my clients who are waiting to test the application, and I was stuck with it. During packaging and signing, the progress indicator is stuck at 99%, and the window "Tool of signed" says "Receive the response" all the required signature and doesn't get anywhere.

  I decided to try it with the simple "HelloBlackBerry" application (you know, like "Hello World"), and it does not work either. Note that he had worked until I think that last night. Is there something to do with the BB Signing Server?

  It is Java. BlackBerry Java plug-in Eclipse. BlackBerry API 5. Windows XP, packaging for 8520 (but one last question?). Do not worry about that now, however. Another machine was able to package and sign, so I was saved, and the package was delivered to the customer. But it still doesn't on my PC the last time I tested.

  But the project is, and I think this will be my last project of BlackBerry. Honestly, it was a real pain, and we decided to stop accepting the BB development project for good.
