  We are using Scripture in the File.vi worksheet to record data to our PSC and get a very strange error.  It will not accept the name of the file and gives us and error that the file name is empty or a parent.  The name of the file is built as "YYYY-MM-FichierJournal.txt" and the actual value is "c:\2010-01_LogFile.txt".  Thus, it is not relative and the correct name is fed to the vi.  This vi is polymorphic and I use DBL 2D data.  I changed the text data, but it did not help.  In addition, I changed the name of file/path to "c:\1.txt" where it was a matter of length of file name. Nothing has worked.

  Your PSC-2020 and your cFP-2220 run a different operating system.  The cFP-2020 is to use Phar Lap and the cFP-2220 uses VxWorks.

  The two operating system use different path conventions.  Your specific question is explained here.

  Please let me know if you have any problems of implementation of the workaround that is listed in the article.

• Unable to connect/configure PSC 2020 using MAX

  It's something like 'part II' to try to use the serial ports on our PSC 2020.

  I received a lot of help and valuable advice from Ravens Fan and others of the Spanish community in regards to the series, and I really appreciate their help.

  However, just at the point where I was about to make the first test, after you advise them, someone in my Department decided, there are a few days to clear (or format) all the contents of the memory of one of our CFP-2020. In addition, there is an another PSC 2020 which was unused for a long time. Well, the point is that none of the two controllers is seen by MAX, and therefore they cannot be configured by MAX either. Both are simply a blank space (i.e. nothing appears) under remote systems or devices and interfaces or another area in the configuration tree.

  Another important detail, we used an earlier version (4.xx, I guess) and also a newer version (7.x.x, I guess) of MAX trying to win again the communications. None of these versions could not communicate with one of the CFP-2020. In other words, none of these versions could establish communication or to show a sign of life of one of the two controllers. We test the wiring and it worked perfectly with the other PSC 2020 we have in existence.

  I guess that LabVIEW 7.1 or 8.0 (versions that we have) will not be able to communicate with controllers or if MAX has failed before. Am I right?

  Is there another way to see (contact) the CFP-2020?

  Is there a procedure for 'must - after setting shaped' that we are missing?

  This behavior has something to do with the DIP switches in the cFP2020?

  Is it possible to say if controllers are broken (fatal hardware failure) or if it's just a matter of software configuration?

  The deadline to begin a period of testing laboratory with the cfps 2020 is very narrow, and I really need to retrieve both controllers, so I would really appreciate help for this problem.

  I am pleased to have been able to help so far.  Let me see if I can help even more.

  First of all, to find a big stick and go fight anyone who formatted your controller overhead.

  Second, if you don't see anything under remote devices, I'll guess that the controller has been the installation of another IP address on a different subnet than where you are now.  I would try the instructions on page 3-6 of this Manual to reset the IP address.  That set it back on a 0.0.0.0 address who should make them findable by MAX again.

  Thirdly, MAX is up to version 4.6.2 (perhaps under minor version or two later.)  So, I'm not sure "newever version 7.x.x" unless you have a version number of LabVIEW.  Yes, you will certainly get the controller found in MAX before LV can work with it.  Definitely check the DIP switch as safe mode and reset the IP.  It is possible, that there is an incompatibility of drivers fieldpoint between the remote control and your LV version but I think that the two would have to endure somehow offset, otherwise you wouldn't be able to update the fieldpoint drivers in the controller.

  If there is a problem with the controller, I don't know how to determine that.  A person of OR may be able to help.  I think that the most likely scenario is that the last IP address defined for the controller corresponds to the setting for your PC or network, you are now, in which case the IP reset should help that.

• Best way to measure accurately the activity of hiking on Apple Watch

  I use my Apple Watch with watch OS 2.2.2 paired with an iPhone on ios 9.3.3 6 and ask what is the best way to measure the calories during the hike. I currently use the app to drive and walk outdoor activity type, but it seems that the market with more than 30 pounds on the back should burn more calories than the market alone.

  It would make sense to increase my weight of 30 pounds (or whatever the weight of the package is that day) in community health for the market or is there another solution to workaround that would suffice?

  It would be great if a later version of workout app had a hiking activity or hiking with a place to specify the amount of extra weight in a pack or vest or even just an option for additional weight to the open-air market.

• How to uninstall and reinstall on the same computer and keep all your "stuff"?

  My TBird got a bit wonky and despite the best efforts of your support forum, it seems it will stay "wobbly".

  Therefore, I would like to uninstall and reinstall and see if that solved the problem, but, of course, I would like to somehow export my messages/folders and address books.

  I used an add-on called IMPORTEXPORTTOOLS to export my files it gives you various options well and I didn't have one that suits to choose from.

  In addition, I couldn't understand how to export my address book. I exported it to an electronic product called CLAWS (which I can not even work... lol). However, if just getting worse, I might be able to import from the client of CLAWS.

  You have the lit message pane? Pressing F8 it will switch on and outside. Unless you have the updated market alone message pane by clicking on a message header won't he mark as read. You have not read it unless it appears in the messages pane, a tab or window.

• While loop inside a timed loop

  I use:
  -LV 7.1 + real-time;
  -compactFieldpoint;

  When I put some time, I noticed a strange behavior, loop inside a timed loop.  Let's fix loop timed with these settings:

  -Clock 1 kHz
  -1 ms period (Yes, I know it's short...)
  -offset 0 ms
  -Stage 0
  -Take the period of absence (ON) and maintain initial Phase (ON);
  -Timeout:-1.

  So, inside the loo, I put a traditional while loop, waiting (for example) an event will occur, and if this event doesn't happen, my cFP-2020 crashes! I mean, it becomes inaccessible for the debugger, and also, if I run a ping at his address, after a few cycles it becomes inaccessible as ping!

  Obviously, that statement of code lock the fieldPoint, because if I remove the inside while loop all work.

  I know that with 1ms duration, timed loop always the finishing of the delay, but I put the scrapping period missed and timeout-1.
    
  It seems to me that sometimes timed loop add overload heavi programs, I all so that the loop according to the tasks, even if my application has be in real-time!

• Problems with WiFi from Toshiba and their lack of support - you're not alone

  For those of you out there problems with WiFi on a Toshiba laptop, you're certainly not alone.

  Over the past years, I have noticed a growing number of different brands and models of computers laptop toshiba and laptops with the same problem.
  Last year, 100% of the toshibas that came in my workshop have had this problem, it is about 75% of the laptops that I fixed.

  These models have all hardware wifi (Agere, Intel and Realtek)

  The wifi switch is on, on the same computer, some programs to detect as being market, others see it as extinct.
  What, it doesn't connect to a same wireless router when used to.

  Responses of toshiba were the usual non-professional form response from: it must be the router, try to flip the switch, you have updated the bios?, update the drivers et al.

  It is a software problem, and given the number of people on this forum talking about the same issue, it's a great.

  Often, I came across the issue of windows for communication services wireless disabled by software of Toshiba and I believe, that it is a conflict between tosh software and various other (zone alarm, windows and al.)

  In some cases, the software seems to intervene and to corrupt the OS from windows drivers and interfere with their implementation and enforcement, which is worrying, the software doesn't have to touch all areas. (if not, what is the point of a BONE in layers)

  I sometimes managed to force to work (for example manually restart the services), but these solutions are not a "clean way" of doing things.

  The most reliable way to solve this problem seems to be, backup your data and reformat back to the manufacturer's specifications, and then immediately uninstall the software from toshiba and update the drivers terribly old (even those on the site are about one year more up-to-date for the model I'm working currently on.) Unfortunately most of my clients is companies that need a LOT of data stored in different saved locations, then a ton of programs specialized to be reinstalled, which is slow and costly.

  Please make it a sticky in this forum for all the REAL solutions, not one of the threads that I watched with your suggestions has been resolved.

  If there is little no support for your products in this regard, I will contact the ACCC, choices, and associations of trade fair with an open letter that I ask all customers affected to sign, and I will put a national call for people with the same problem to come forward.

  I would like to ask also if you encounter a problem where your wifi stopped working and it does not detect or work, please just post "bump" under here so that we can keep way reasonably clutter free.

  I used to recommend Toshiba and Asus for laptops, now, this list is one.

  You can do what you want but as mentioned above; WiFi problems are not specific to a laptop manufactures, you'll notice WLan issues on computers (laptops, desktops computers) all manufactured products.
  I had 4 different books of four various manufacturers and ALL had problems of WiFi, but most problems could be solved by the driver update, change, or reset of the router are.

  I have been using MS Money 2005 for my tracking portfolio. The MS software includes market automatic price updates. Everything works correctly for a long period until a few days ago when the software would not update price. Not changed anything with the settings of the software or the Internet I know.

  Thanks Ken and Wally to help me understand, I was not crazy alone or go. Mine is Microsoft Money Deluxe OEM and I'm in Australia and my actions automatically updated on 01 July but not since. I thought that perhaps they passed something of at the end of June, but, as you say, why now after they abandoned money if a long time. Always try to find a good replacement without result. ACE closer Money of you I found to date but many required manual loading if you're not in the United States or the United Kingdom to load the Australian banks and stock exchange.

• In the modern world today's Marketing, how can stand out you as a certified Eloqua "newbie"?

  I really, really like Ahmad Eytan' discussion Eloqua wages & experience that it highlights the challenges facing modern Marketing organizations trying to hire the right person with the right skills AND experience to make a fairly immediate impact. He had me looking back at the time--way, way back - when I started as a Consultant Marketing Automation for Astadia, knowing very little about Eloqua, but with a strong background in marketing database, marketing communication, the customer service and sales soft (Yes, I wrote 'soft', 'social' as 'social' not has not been invented yet--at least not online social).

  It started with a five-day immersion in Eloqua and then plunges us straight on working alongside our practice for missions of client Manager. We have rapidly graduated (or been thanked) at the main customer commitments ourselves. I learned so much, so much--more than I want to go right now and not roughly Eloqua - but the fact is, it took that I immerse myself in the experience (at least what I demanded of me).

  Thus, in modern today Marketing environment, accompanied by a certificate of the Eloqua University a topical... (A small side bar here...) I would like to go on record as saying that I like very much the value of the Eloqua University and although there could be some improvements, it's never been marketed as ' all you need to do is get these certifications to earn 6 figures - unfortunately, that the fault is on the people who chose to be known this way after being certified). .

  Well, back to the modern Marketing of today environment - after reviewing of Eytan, stimulating discussion - how can a 'newbie' certified Eloqua stand out?

  NOTE: my definition of a "certified Eloqua newbie" is a person who now works for a client of Eloqua that met certification requirements Eloqua University but has little experience 'real world' in the execution of Eloqua. I am open to changes to this definition.

  There are many things that you ("you" now refers to all beginners Eloqua certified) can do... Based on my own Type A self admitted trends of OCD, I think that we need a plan for success. As in "you build your own plan for success of"how to become a superhero Eloqua".» Top priority? A mindset 'always learning' - and perhaps total immersion - to the point where a day's work does not stop at 17:00 (or it is sufficient to say, your "day" job ends then, but your mindset 'always learning' and then goes into action and work into the night, creation/copy of key marketing use cases and work to solve for them in Eloqua).

  I'm not giving any secrets when I share away this is how I did it - and it was not easy, but if it was - come on, everyone, say it with me - If that were the case, then everyone would be doing... And today, it's even easier then way, way back in my day - because today, you have the most amazing resource at your fingertips - Topliners. You get to pick the brains of some of the biggest space - leaders thought to those running require centers everywhere in the world and everyone in between - all with a few clicks on your keyboard.

  I have complete empathy for you - I have been there and done this-- but an attitude "I want it all and I want it now" you will be pain if you try to increase your career from the only certifications. You need to do more. Perhaps, more is to create your own plan for success to emerge. Maybe it is something different, but in all cases, take what you have learned in Eloqua University and ON BUILD IT! This is an incredible Foundation to succeed - OPPORTUNITY TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE TO A POSSIBLY CHANGE! You know now that you're not deceive everyone being certified Eloqua newbie - it, that is, certified, helps a LOT - but you've learned to preach by example.   Oh, did you raise many good points. Not to take us off-topic, but I could rant all day on Eloqua consulting firms, which let employees at low altitude (Eloqua skill-wise) loose on customer projects. It just not fair for the employee or customer. There was a company that does this for me, a few years ago, and since then dozens of people asked me to their subject for reference.  Needless to say, they have never get a good me and probably lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in projects because of this. Not worth it in the long run to cut corners.

  Back to the question at hand...

  You really hit the nail on the head in many ways. Really it comes down to one thing: work. There are no shortcuts. Always continue to learn. Embrace every challenge Eloqua you can and never say never.  Never be afraid to err by asking something "stupid", or "stupid looking. I remember several times that I submitted Eloqua support tickets or tickets to other providers related to things that I was convinced were bugs/key issues. Turned out to be my mistake. But that's ok. You brush, straighten and learn from them.

  And finally, be modest.  You will never know everything about Eloqua. Be willing to learn from others, knowing that there may actually be a better way to do something that you spent a few days or weeks working on.

  I currently use Visual Basic as an operating shell to manage databases, Flash files and MS Office applications in a 'stand-alone application.  I am considering the purchase of Adobe Web Premium to perform the same functions and possibly convert it to a web site.  When references to literature marketing 'application' am I have reason to believe that I can use Web Premium autonomous under the name?  Also, can I access MSOffice files or just the PDF files?

  The web premium suite is a collection of programs designed for creating content as well as create and manage a Web site. It is compatible with Microsoft Office, but has no Office for its operation. It can work with files created in the Office.
