Change notifications / ringer VOLUME by programming?

Hi guys,.

Does anyone know a way to change the volume of notifications to the active profile?  I don't mean to change to a different profile, I need to change the level of the level of the master volume of the current profile, i.e. the value of the volume slider programmatically you can see at the moment where you go to settings / Notifications screen (it's the main notification volume level used for all sounds unless the user overrides it to specific applications or specific types of notification) or that the user can change volume up/down buttons if they are defined in volume rather than multimedia volume change notifications.

I checked the Panel Manager, audio mixer audio libraries etc. and I find how to change the volume of all EXCEPT notifications...

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

The bb setVolume method: platform: NotificationGlobalSettings class, that's probably what you're looking for.

Here is a link to the documentation:

https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/reference/Cascades/bb__platform__notificationglobalsettings...

Hope that helps.

You may need to perform a repair of software using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1 to 2 hours until the device has so at least 80% battery.

Make sure that the device is not connected to the computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press the power button / stop and volume until what the machine vibrates 3 times or on some devices, it must push the small button near the tray on the back of the camera or SIM).

Open PC companion-> support area-> update phone software / Tablet-> repair my phone/Tablet blue highlighted. Follow the steps, do not plug your phone until you are prompted to press volume down while plugging in the USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you may need to run Windows 7 compatibility mode (in some cases XP).

  • Xperia Z5 too low ring volume

    Hi all

I used Xperia Z5 almost 3 months and was very happy with my phone until I get 6.0.1. Now I have a very big problem with my phone, it's no longer stereo speakers.

When I listen to music or watch the volume video game or the game is normal but it not balanced lounder very pregnant top speakers low and worse, is that when someone calls me my ringtone is really really too low it is not possible to hear it.

I try to repair my phone with Sony comp. it did not work.

Most likely, if I can't find a solution for this, I'm going to buy another phone and I buy never any phone Sony because I have exactly the same problem of my Xperia Z3 extracts + that is why I bought Z5, but I still have the same problem.

  • Phones ring Volume blackBerry smart - is there an easier way to adjust the volume?

I just got my phone today and it seems that the only way to change the ring volume is to go through a series of 6 steps (according to the user's guide).

Change the default volume for calls

You can increase or decrease the default volume for calls. The percentage of volume is high, the louder.

    1. in the phone, press the Menu key.

    2. click on Options. 3. Click

    General options.

    4. change the default call Volume field.5. Press on the

    Menu key.

    6. click on Save.

Has anyone found a faster way? I don't want to have to go through these steps each time that I have enter and exit a meeting not to mention the risks involved if I need to adjust the volume while I'm driving.

    I'd appreciate any help available.

    Thank you.

After you set the default options, the easiest way is to go to the main menu, use the trackball to move up right and highlight the speaker, click on it and choose the setting that you want (that is to say strong, quiet, phone only, etc.)

It's the fastest way I've found.

    I hope this helps.

  • Volume buttons control only the ringer volume

It seems that the volume buttons on the side of the phone just control the ringer volume. On other Android phones, ringtone and Notification volumes have been linked together for ease of use.

On the Droid Ultra/Maxx, there are four different volumes: media, ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. And none of them are interconnected. It is extremely annoying for many reasons, the main reason being there is no easy way to lower or increase the volume of ringtone and Notifications at the same time by using the volume buttons.

The ring volume is adjustable to the max, but the text message sound will be very quiet. Or the ring volume can be set down, but text message noise will be very strong.

Is it possible to fix this?

  • Solved: Cannot change notification settings music app playing / open in Lollipop

I have not found anyway to change notification settings (priority/silent/sound) in Xperia Z2 while listening to music or if the music app is running listening to music. I tried different applications (Walkman, Spotify, Google Music) with the music and the problem is present with all music applications. This problem came with the Android 5.0 update (Lollipop). If I want to change my mind, I have to stop the music and close the music application. KitKat, I could just press the power button longer and get notification settings, but no more with Android 5.0.

There is a fix for this in 5.1 Android, but I have not found information there will be updates 5.1.

If anyone has found a way to change settings while the music running application, or that I need to hope and wait for Android 5.1 upgrade?

    See you soon,.

    Answering my own question:

Pause music, turn the widescreen (or one if it was turned off and then first on the road once again) power button for a while, and then on again. Now you should be able to control sound notification settings when you press the volume key. If the playback volume volume touch control instead of notifications, turns the screen turned off again and wait a little longer before turning back on.

With this method you don't need to close the music app notifications of control.

  • Treo800w does not use the ringer volume, I put

I have my "phone: known caller ' setting on the standard Treo ringtone type ringer which is preinstalled on the Treo800w." I have the 'ring type' in the Ring, but no matter how high or low, I set the ring volume, that sounds only when the volume control low when a call comes in.  He is so weak that I miss basically every call. I tried to change other ringtones and the same thing happens.  The ringtone seems to work fine when the ringing type is set to 'Increase the circle' but that started to be so weak that it increases not the ringer volume enough before the call to your voicemail.  I need my ringtone to use a volume of your relatively high ring setting. Everyone knows this?  If so, what do you have to solve?

I got an answer to this, of Paulcalif, in another thread: "have you tried"restart"by removing the battery and put it back in.. ' Try adjusting the volume all the way first, then it reboot. »

Lil Red: This seems to have worked even though I still think that there is a bug in the software.  If I set the ring volume to a different volume level, the phone doesn't seem to not answer. Well, as long as it sounds strong and most of the time, I'm good to go.

volume control was gone. I tried to go into my control panel to use it, but I get an error that says:

I have lost my Windows XP disc in a move and can't reinstall the file to a disk, how to fix this?

When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices, you see a message like this:

Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

It seems that the c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe file is missing.

This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file.  You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system.

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...

We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you will see only a file called 'sndvol32' which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need).

If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Browsing from a level in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.

Note that run sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

  • Exhaustion of the handles to change notification (SMB requests)

I run an app, Matlab, on winxp 32 sp3, that internally uses Exchange requests for notification on a good amount of directories and a good amount of these directories are remote (lan) on a 64-bit win7 machine. When I start the application it tells me I ran out handfuls of change notification. To find out if this problem is due to me or to the remote computer, I ran a matlab with the same needs of remote path on another computer win7 and observed no problems with missing remote handles.

Thus, it seems that the problem is on my winxp computer (client). Googling around, I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926646. It is said to add some values/parameters in the registry to get xp to increase its ability to change notification, but he also asked a fix that would get the xp to use these settings (see below). However, when I tried to install the patch it said would not because my OS being sp3 I guess, was newer than the fix. I guess that means that sp3 already has the ability to interpret parameters.

Unfortunately, after changing the settings, nothing has changed. From what I can tell, there is no increase in the number of remote change notification requests it can handle.

Although a solution would be preferable, it would be useful, even if I knew how to see what the values of the operating system of use; to see if she was, somehow, made up of the parameters, I added to the registry.

    = relavent parameters:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters]... "MaxMpxCt" = dword:000000ff

    "MaxWorkItems" = dword:00000400

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanworkstation\parameters]... "MaxWorkItems" = dword:00000400
