change the archivelogs location

Hi guys, I have the main and backup database. I made them with rman, and when I have enough changes based on data creates arc on the primary database files /opt/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area and send the CRA files on standby database/opt/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area.

on the two database db_recovery_file_dest = ' / opt/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area ' and log_archive_dest_1 =' location = use_db_recovery_file_dest'

it's all good and well and it works perfectly, but now I want to do this arc file on another drive on my linux system(so that database could work faster and because of memory). I want to arc files to create primary/opt1/archive_log and Eve/opt1/archive_log.

so, how do I do that?

I tried to simply change db_recovery_file_dest = ' / opt1/archive_log ' on both my databases, he had it changed, I could see it on the Show parameters command, but it did not work, when I tried to change the system switch logfile, command has not completed and I was unable to see the log files or databases;

then I tried to leave even db_recovery_file_dest and modified log_archive_dest_1 = ' location = / opt1/archive_logs ' on two databases, but the result is the same, do not stop and I can't see arcs in the primary or standby so what do I do?

I tried closing databases and remake primary@standby contact if rman with the settings already corrected, but it still does not work... Please answer...

Can connect as sysdba before primary and vice versa (if it's not working, you must resynchronize orapw - password files)

  • No option to change the installation location of the program

    Hello

I have problems with my laptop running Vista Basic.

Whenever I try to install a new program, it automatically starts the installation on drive C.  There is no opportunity to change the installation location.  It must now to the point where drive C is almost full yet D drive is almost empty.

Is it possible I can get Vista to start giving me the option to choose where I would like the installation to occur or may simply change the default location?  I don't have a problem with the deletion of all programs that are running on my laptop that I have all the disks necessary to reinstall, I just can't continue as things are.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you get a choice of the place where the software is the responsibility of the installer, no windows.  I would say it's time to start looking in an upgrade of the hard drive if you are running this short space.

    Hi Maxim P,.

Sync Center is the place to go to synchronize your computer with network folders, mobile devices and compatible programs. Sync Center can keep automatically your files and folders synchronized in different places.

Open Sync Center by clicking the Start button, tap all programs, accessories, and then clicking on of Sync Center.

Sync Center is a feature of Windows that allows you to keep information synchronized between your computer and files stored in folders on network servers. They are called offline files because you can access them even when your computer or the server is not connected to the network.

  • Impossible to change the network location of the public in the network and sharing Center.

I'm unable to change the network location of the public to the private sector or at home. In network and sharing Center, he is listed as unidentified network, and under "Public network" is written in black and is not clickable.

I have a connection high speed (USB connected) also listed above under "Home network", it is written in blue and is clickable.

The affected connection is an XBOX 360 connected via a network cable. I wish to connect the XBOX to the Internet via ICS, but cannot do so until this connection is either private or at home.

    Things I've tried so far;

    Reinstall the drivers,

disconnect and reconnect, turning on all the elements concerned.

    All ideas,

    Tourist shifty.

Enable ICS on the connection Strip and not on the XBOX 360 connection.  When you do this, the connection of the XBOX 360 will still be confused with a public network, but everything should work. Boulder computer Maven

  • Change the installation location of many programs?

I just got an SSD (60 GB) to use as my drive master boot and after doing some research, it became clear that changing the progamfilesdir /(x86) registry entries can cause problems with some programs and Windows update.

A lot of programs that I use allow me to change the installation location, but some do not. Is there a method to move these programs or make install in another directory?
    Thank you.

Even if you custom install on a drive to reactivate, a lot of files will be written on the disc of the victory.

  • How can I change the default location to save to SD card?

I was looking for an answer in the forum, but nothing helped. Anyone knows how to save SD location and not the internal memory?

I think that it worked for most users:

    (1) open a new tab to Subject: config (type about: config the Awesomebar and hit the arrow go or tap Enter).

You can bookmark it for easy future access.

    (2) on the search line, type down and make a pause while Firefox filter list

3 scroll to browser.download.folderList and tap to display the editing controls. Change the value from 1 to 2 (from 'by default always' to the 'last used folder').

    (3) press the big "+" above the list to add a new parameter

    (A) from the right side, you see "Boolean" type who and change to "String".

    (B) the name of the preference should be browser.download.dir (this option stores the last used directory)

    (C) the value is based on the folder you want. For example:

    /sdcard/FxDown

    Then click on create.

If you go back to your other tab and download something, it should go to the new folder.

    Success?

  • change the default location of the application

I installed an SSD and put my system on it. I don't want not used for applications or documents. How can I change the default values of systems use applications and the doc in my HARD disk drive?

If you move the Applications folder on the SSD, then this means that your applications load more slowly. Leave it where it is.

How to use an SSD with your HARD drive

If you want to use an SSD as boot with your existing HARD disk drive, as the disk 'data', here is what you can do.

After installing the SSD, you need to partition and format the SSD using disc utility disc. Then install OS X on the SSD. Once installed OSX boot from SSD. Startup disk preferences to set up the SSD as the boot volume.

Open the preferences users and groups. Click the lock and authenticate you. Or CTRL - RIGHT click on your username account list in the sidebar and select Advanced Options in the context menu. You will see a field called "Home dir: ' on the far right, you will see an Edit button. Click on it. In the file dialog box, navigate to the location in house now located on the HARD disk (disk HARD/users/user_name /.) Select the folder, click the Open button. Restart the computer, as shown. When the computer starts, it will now use the home located on the HARD drive folder.

Another more technical method involving the Terminal and the alias is discussed in depth here: using OS X with a SSD and HDD - Matt Gemmell configuration. It's my preferred approach because I can choose which records of the House, I want to on the HARD drive and I don't want to. For example, I like to keep Documents and library files on the SSD because I frequently access their content.

Make sure that you keep the bootable system entirely on your HARD drive where you need it.

  • Outlook Express: How to change the default location of mail and press kits?

I use windows XP with Outlook Express 6 (6.00.2900.5512).
I want to change the destination of the mail folder. (MY C drive is made of only 6 Gbs, and 5.5 GB is now eaten.)

It's a bit complicated, so do first a backup of your posts.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx

So what you do is to create a new directory where you want to as the message store to be moved.  Then, in OE, go to tools | Options | Maintenance | Store the file and set this new directory.  Then close OE and reopen it.  OE will then move the store the entire message to this new location.  Do NOT move the files yourself.  If you do, then OE will overwrite the files that you moved and you will lose all your messages.

So save your messages first, and then create a new directory to the new location and then say OE the new location and when you open it again, it will move the files.

To clear more room, also go to start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup and which should lead to more space on the disk.

  • How can I change the download location of the C: drive to the D: drive, I have both on my pc, windows 7 i3

My C drive is full and I have more space in drive D:, but whenever I try to download anything (most particularly important since my bank online) it tells me that my C: drive is full and can not download anything more?  How can I fix?

    Thanks, Debi

    Hi Deborah,

You use Internet Explorer to access the Web sites?

Perform the following steps to change the location of the download folder, if you are using Internet Explorer 9.

    a. open Internet Explorer 9.

    b. click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then click on discovers downloads.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can press CTRL + J instead.

    c. click the link Options .

    d. click on the Browse button.

    e. navigate to and select the folder you want IE9 to use as the default download location, and then click the button Select a folder .

    f. click on OK.

    g. click on Close.

If you want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use disk cleanup. It removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Perform a Disk Cleanup and check if a space is done in the C drive.

  • Can I change the uuid.location and uuid.bios by vCLI command?

Can I change or generate the uuid.location and uuid.bios by vCLI command? Or I have to use the VMware API function?

When I copied a virtual machine, in the menu "Question Answer", I have to choose "I copied it". Then I looked at the VM1.vmx and found only the uuid.location, uuid.bios and the ethernet0.generatedAddress have been changed. I can manually change them?

    Thank you very much.

The UUID is generated automatically just, it is not recommended that you change it yourself. If you want a particular fault that you keep or change it, you can add the following .vmx such as specified by this VMware KB - params http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1541

The MAC address can be changed, but you must make sure that you follow VMware Yes 00:50:56, this is a VMware KB with details - http://kb.vmware.com/kb/507

  • Change the save location in Action

I made an action that made a bunch of stuff and then save as a folder. How can I change the registration of destination within the action? From time to time, I need to save to a new location.

You can change the location by saving as a step to re-register them.

Open an image and a save not in Control Panel double-click actions, and once the backup is complete the new location must be included in the action.

If you change locations often enough, consider using the file > Automate > annealing in Bell or file > Scripts > Image Processor
