Hello

You should get a USB 2.0 High Speed for a printer cable, this is a standard cable and can come from any store.

It should look as follows:

Hi I just installed this printer on an operating system of Windows 7 32 bit, but on the quality of implementation page/impression of two tabs only page layout can be changed all options are greyed out it is deliberate to stop printing in draft print quality or quality options above that this has no sense here that I hadn't bought this printer now as she gobbles up ink and I can't change the print quality at first, I was disappointed that now I would never never buy another printer HP unless HP or someone can help you. Printer is brand new, right out of the box, but HP only support expensive paid as it has been manufactured since more than a year! How bad are only only he registered today for the first time!  Thumbs down for HP!

    Hi charlieelston,

    Follow the instructions below.

    1. open devices and printer

    2. click on add a printer

    3. click Add a local printer

    4. from the use existing port, select the USB option and then click Next

    5. click the button of Windows Update to get all the support window 7 drivers updated

    6. once the update is complete. Click HP from the menu on the left, then select the printer Deskjet 990c in the right menu, and then click Next.

    7. follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation.

Once you have the printer added 990c make sure it is the default printer, and then try to print using this driver for the Deskjet 3050 printer. I would like to know if you have the same problem?

    Thank you

The Laserjet 4 do not have a USB port.  You use a USB / parallel?  These can be problematic.  The posts here have USB-parallel cable users reported work with Windows 7.

  • HP M1212nf Mfp printer installed via USB Port

I checked all my software and hardware, but when I install the printer using the printer installation disc works. But when I turned my computer off and restart the computer, the printer does not print. The printer indicates a default printer and the printer says ready, but I get nothing. I can re-install and get it printed, but it disconnects when I turn off my computer. I have another printer Dell I can go to and it will be printed, but HP will not.

HP printer to a USB port facilities requires installation of driver CD must be started before the printer is connected to a USB port.

    Hi there dcjoe,

Many places carry the cables you are looking for. If your region may vary, I found them in places like radioshack and wal-mart. To start, here's a commercial for google link . Let us know if that helps.

    Good luck!

  • HP laserjet 1200 using windows7, wired to the printer with a USB to parallel adapter

HP laserjet 1200 using windows7. My computer has USB ports, but no parallel port, if the computer is connected to the printer with a USB to parallel adapter. Sometimes works very well, sometimes States printer system as ready, but do not print. Reboot hardware and upon restarting, I got a page to print. Next attempt to print updates the document in cue, but is right there - no error message. Finally, after several reboots, I managed to do print (have no idea how), but now I had to print 20 pages one page at a time. It will print no more than one page, even if I have to print the 20. Next time I start the computer I don't know if the printer will print. Do you need to use the same USB port each time, or are USB to parallel unreliable maps?

    Hey renradd!

Unfortunately, in addition to the adapters USB can be unreliable. Only a new printer, I don't know what it will provide you with a fix for this problem. You can try a different card if you have one, but if it still does not work, I would look for in a printer capable of supporting your computer.

    I hope this helps!

  • Is it possible to change the printer function to accommodate the thicker paper

Need to print on thicker card, but the paper is a little too think to roll smoothly through the printer.

Anyone know if there is a way to change the printing options to solve this problem?

This would be a limitation of the printer, so I suggest to contact the printer manufacturer for advice. My suspicion is that it will take another printer.

What operating system?  For Windows 7, you would go to start, devices and printers, right click on the HP Deskjet 3050, printing preferences, select the paper/quality tab and some Plain paper media quick project, apply, then click on the Advanced tab and under the characteristics of the printer, select printing in levels of gray and black ink only, apply, OK.

  • print size too large after changing the print cartridge

Sounds like an easy fix should be up there, but I'm not super computer savvy... after that we changed the print cartridge for the first time with this printer (and who knows what may happen after when my husband tried to fix it), the font of printing is too large AND prints a blank page of paper before the actual page prints with a font that is too large to fit properly on paper 8.5 x 11 inches. Normally, there are all the parameters that must be set after simply change an ink cartridge? Help!

  • I can't change the printing on PSC2175 preferences. When I click on Preferences nothing happens.

I can't change the printing on my HP PSC2175 preferences. When I click on it, a window will appear, and then disappers instantly. May not print correctly (using Microsoft Office 2010) Word documents or PDF documents correctly. It can print text perfectly, but diagrams, text boxes and grids do not print, and other times it prints only part of it.  I am using Windows 7 32 bit.  It started after the upgrade to Vista.

    Hello

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your driver located within the Windows 7 operating system?  You probably know that HP did not create a downloadable driver for Windows 7.  I would try uninstalling and then reinstalling the driver.

  • Is there a cable that has a configuration of PIN for the printer and a USB for PC connector?

I recently bought a HP Pavilion p6620f desktop PC to replace my HP Media Center PC m1270n desktop computer, which has stopped working.  I have a HP OfficeJet K60xi all in one printer fax scanner copier that has been the cable connected to the old PC.  The end of the cable does not match any of the places to go on the new PC.  Can you please tell me how to connect the printer to the new PC?   Is there a cable that has a configuration of PIN for the printer and a USB for PC connector?

Please see: installation of the product with the USB cable and using the driver from Windows Update or the driver located in the Windows 7 operating system and HP USB 2.0 cable to the printer.

  • Change the printing WillPrint settings

I see that the WillPrint event is raised after the user dismisses the dialog box print. I have a PDF file where I want to only allow them to print page 1. Can I use the WillPrint event and change the print settings as well as the first page is printed? Thank you very much.

    Rick

As try67 says, the event does not work like that.

WillPrint is exactly like that - he is fired when the user presses the Print button in the print dialog box, so at this time the printout will be no matter what you do with the event. and they have already made their choice on what is happening out of the paper tray. If JavaScript could intercept these choices it caused no end of problems.

  • How to remove a local printer port, or change the printer driver associated with the port

I added a printer local port \\MACHINENAME\PRINTERNAME to respond to a printer that is connected to an XP machine on my home network.  There is no driver for my printer (HP OfficeJet v.40 or V-series), so I tried to install it with the Officejet D series.  Well, the test page did not work.  I deleted the printer via the Control Panel, but apparently the local port does not remove. I can't add the printer again, I can't delete it, and I can't change the driver.  So I'm stuck.
    Thank you, Charlie
