Change Windows password change frequency

How can I change the frequency that Windows forces me to change the login password? I want to put it to 90 days vs. the 30 it's apparently the default frequency.

FYI, I use Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

Thanks for any help you can give.

  • Correct procedure to change the Windows password

This is similar to the post http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board=SpecialInterestsUtilities&message=3111&query.id=101... but I'm not looking for a workaround solution. I'm looking for the right way to avoid the problem.

When I changed my Windows password in Windows and restarted, the first thing he did was ask me after that I spent my finger. He said that he wanted changed in the security of the client system. I entered the password and it erased, and then connected. After the start, another window pops up asking my Windows password for the security solution client. I entered, but this was rejected. I tried again, rejected. I tried again using any password that I use. All rejected. Maj CapsLock and numlock off the coast.

Fortunately, I was able to cancel out of it. I changed my password to the original and then restarted. The same claims were held, but he agreed the old passwords. I am in control, but with my original password. Phew!

Then... What is the correct way to do it? Client security rejects the new password. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help!

I found a solution in case anyone else comes across this. It may be the best or only one, but it worked...

    (1) disable Security TPM. Do the reset, etc.

    (2) use the control panel Windows users to change your password.

    (3) turn on the TPM secure. Do the reset and the new password asked a couple of times.

    Fact.

    Original title: change password

    Hi Denny,

If the computer has a different user account which is administrator, you can still use the other account to reset the password of the account of the Moose (administrators can force change other user passwords).

If you are the only user of the computer, I always recommend that you create an account additional administrator on the computer that can be used for recovery or emergency situations.  This must be a local account that is not connected to a service account or by email online.  For example, on my computer I log in with my Email account, but there is also a "shawn administrator" account on the computer that has a simple password.  I've never used this account, but it's there if I need it.

So if you are involved (or even if you're not), I would create a local account on the computer as an admin full.  You're not likely to need it, but if you do, this will prevent you from becoming locked.

The system restore affects windows password?

    Hi jack92,

We do not believe, because we can undo system restore if you have forgotten the password and you can create a new password if you have not set a password.

  • How can I change [frequency] on the audio spectrum?

How can I change [frequency] on the audio spectrum? I really need an easy way to solve this problem

After Effects has a very limited set of audio tools. Your only option to change the Equalization inside AE is to apply one of the equalizer and then before dialing the audio track that you use to the reader of the Audio spectrum. It's a little awkward, but it keeps all the controls inside the AE and keep them editable.

Personally, if I want to isolate the frequencies I always use the hearing to create an audio layer duplicate that has been optimized for the effect that I need to generate audio.

    To reinstall the operating system:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
