  We have a working installation with the cat persisted on external Postgresql DB, with many chat rooms that are in daily use.

  CUCM and CUPS are on version 11.0.1

  To change the IM AD - name address to the email address, in order to facilitate the XMPP Federation (among others).

  The change of address IM is no problem, but after the change of the person is member (or owner/creater) of any permanent plus discussion space.

  I guess it is because of the change of address IM causes a regeneration of JIDs, and none of the news JIDs are present in the external BD. Maybe it's some sort of synchronization could fix that, but I returned immediately to a change of pre snapshot when I noticed the problem. So I don't know if he forge set it's me, if given the time.

  I wanted to just some time to study before I'll try and make the change again.

  Is it possible that I can change my IM addresses and keep all my persistent Chat rooms? Or is my only option to recreate all the my persistent cat?

  I don't think that there is a fix for this, at least not an easy, one, once the service written messages to the DB, that's changing the JID triggers it all the necessary changes in the IM & P server, for inside DB, contacts lists, etc. But which does not extend to external databases.

  What you might try, and I'm not sure it will work, is to go to the tc_rooms table and change the CREATOR_ID to the IADB and new, if it works, you have to try tc_users then tc_messagearchive and tc_messages and if the entry/exit time recording, tc_timelog

  It would be the only way I could think, but that means you would need to change all the old JIDs for new.

  If this does not work, then you will have no option but to recreate the rooms.

  For Central UCS 1.2, the instructions are below;

  Instructions for UCS C 1.2:

  * To change the IP through the user interface, select the Administration tab > General > Management Interface.

  * If there are saved UCSM connected to UCSC, you must unregister and then reregister them in UCSC. As in "once you save a Cisco UCS Cisco UCS Central domain, you cannot change or change the IP address used by the Cisco's UCS Manager. If you need to modify or change the IP address, make sure to cancel the registration of the Cisco UCS Central area, change the IP address, and then re-register in Cisco UCS Central. »

  * No record UCS Central, all global policies will be defined in local. This will not affect the functionality of your system. However, after signing UCS Central again with the new IP address, you will need to manually set all policies at the global level.

  * There is currently a request for improvement raised to simplify this process.

  Environment:

  7.2 (1) running ASA 5520

  IPSEC VPN L2L established by using wizard.

  Change the IP address of the remote peer. Using ASDM, I can't change the name of the Tunnel Group (which is currently the address peer). I may change the address peer in the IPSec rule, but is that all that is necessary?

  I have to add a new group of tunnel using the new address of peers for the name? If yes how it is related to other objects that are required for a VPN?

  When you create a VPN using the wizard, it creates several objects that are difficult to track when changes are required. Is it better to remove all current VPN objects and create a new configuration using the wizard again?

  Is it's better to make the changes using the CLI? What lines must be changed for peer address when using the commands?

  -I recommend it, but if you don't know you have no choice.

  Add new tunnel-group with group as new name address peer, same key etc. Add a new address peer settings under rule edit ipsec peer. Then you should be able to remove the old tunnel group. Hope this helps you, been a while since I made this way.

• VCS E change address IP in URI

  We run VCS E worm 8.7

  It is necessary to get this routing of a call:

  W.X.Y.Z. => [email protected] / * / , where IP address W.X.Y.Z. in one.

  The user composes an endpoint IP address and must be changed to a URI.

  The point of termination/codec dial IP is registered in the VCS E via h323.

  We tried a transformation to change the IP composed in the URI, however, since the recording of endpoint is h323 VCS E fails to do so, saying "IP address aliases are not supported for the special criteria.

  It has been brought to my attention, it might be possible with a custom CPL.

  What type of endpoint lance call, why not just have them dial [email protected] / * / instead of this rather than an IP address?  All the endpoints of these days can dial [email protected] / * /, unless they are running old software.

  If you need to dial via IP address, you will need to use a CPL script on venture capital to convert it to an address URI, attached is an example of script I threw as well, however, there are two things to take note of:

  1. You can use the regex in the destination domain to match IP addresses or specify the exact IP you want to match.  However if you use the regular expression, you must specify the alias of the endpoint calling also in the original field to avoid the problems of other calls based on IP addresses and avoid a false match.
  2. Depending on whether the calling end point is authenticated to the VCS or not, you need to change the original type: 'origin' is authenticated, and "origin unauthenticated" is obviously not authenticated.  VCS area where the endpoint is saved to determine one to use, you can check by looking at the record itself says, there is an "Authenticated" field which will either be true or false.

  We have just P2V had a server in a cluster 5.1 ESXi and I should keep the MAC address of origin for licensing reasons. I added the lines below in the .vmx file.

  But when I turn on the virtual machine, I get this error. How can I change the MAC to keep the original MAC from the physical server?

  I created a form and which works very well but need to change the return address. I changed the e-mail address on the field object tab and saved the form.

  When I distribute even if the sender of the original e-mail address always shows on the entry form.

  When you distribute a form using LiveCycle Designer file > distribute the form... it asks some preferences for example email etc. However, they cannot be reset if you make changes to the form and run the file > distribute the form later.  The only way I found to change the e-mail address is to edit the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Go to file > Preferences and select the identity category and you can change the e-mail address from there and save your form.

• Thunderbird change outgoing email address

  Compose a new email:

  In the field 'To' I start typing an address. Thunderbird offers a drop-down matches of my address book. I select one of the addresses. Thunderbird puts in the field "to". At this point, my cursor is still in the field "to". Then I hit enter to move to the next field, & Thunderbird changed the email address to a different address (an address that is different from my address book).

  If I add a space after the e-mail address before you press Enter, Thunderbird leave the email address as it is.

  Behavior is somewhat random - address is not replaced all the time. In addition, for a while, Thunderbird will make a change - as always change address X to the address, then it will switch to another change - address Z always replacing address w.

  The alternative address is always one that is in the address book.

  Also, Thunderbird colors randomly a few e-mail addresses out in red, even if they are in my address book.

  This is known and reported bug the developers are working on a fix critical. Please note that this bug only occurs if you are using TAB or ENTER.

  Two options, but I recommend option 2.

  1. if you use your mouse to select the email address and use the mouse to move to the next line then it does not.

  2. suggest using this method. This method does not require using the TAB or ENTER keys, so will not produce the bug.

  • 'View' > 'Contacts sidebar' or toggle view using the f9 key.

  • Click on the button 'TO Addto' or other options.
