Changed networking, now I can't connect!

My other computer is a work computer, which I use at home.

I was trying to set up a computer network at home on my work laptop (while I was at home), so that I could share files between two computers. If I remember correctly, the last thing I tried to do was one of the wizzards of network configuration. I changed something the task force, to home network... and then I had to restart.

Now, I can't get past the logon screen. When I put in my usual, login and password, it says "the system could not log." Also, if I remember correctly - it used to say my network under the "user name" and "password", but now these are only two boxes.
I guess I have just to scream until tomorrow and get help from my administrators.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I had a similar problem. I could not open a session from one computer to another on the same home network. Windows says that my ID or my password is incorrect. I tried all my ID login and passwords. Finally I discovered that my login id was my email account...

    Thank you, Joe

It is probably a longshot, but a lot of things in the land of windows is not sensitive to capital letters as Unix is.  I wonder if your new password you put through powerCLI mixed uppercase in it and if the capitalization was abandoned by command windows powerCLI Analyzer, or he interpreted as all capitals or something.   If you can still get through the powerCLI you could try to reset the password again to something simple without capitalization mixed case and if your password on ESXi strategy requires a special character, try something different than a "$", like a "_" (I find that a '_' is less likely than some other special characters (, as a '-' or a ' / ' to cause problems with analyzers.).

    Edit:

Another thing, you can try before playing with the password once again, is to create a different username ESXi using powerCLI and see if the password ends up what you think, it should be, and if you can get with the client vsphere using it.  In this way, you can find out if there are some problems with certain characters or Cap through command powerCLI Analyzer without losing your remaining root by powerCLI access.  After some tests, you can understand what went wrong with your initial password change and may be able to fix it with less risk of losing access.  I also assume that you can not create a new username on ESXi who is able to change the root password no matter what authority give you it, otherwise, you could create a new username with PowerCLI, then connect to the client vsphere with it and change the password to root from there.

I installed a new OS and now I have no wireless on the list of the network. I can't connect to my pro overdrive unless it is attached. Is there a download I need?

    Download wireless network drivers

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers for your version of Windows. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - every computer is different, so I can't give you exact directions.

If you cannot access to the use of the internet, another computer and save the driver on a CD/DVD/card reader.

    Hello

    1. how exactly did you remove the dial-up access?

    Method 1:

If you have removed the dial from the network and sharing Center, then it should be detected automatically once you restart the computer.

OK, well I have now established (by means of uninstalling all the software that has been updated to 12, one piece at a time) that the culprit was Cyberlink Power Media Player 14.

After removing that, all right (and Yes, I created a restore point).

  • I changed the name of the computer, now I can not connect to Oracle SQL Developer

    Hello my friends!

Everything worked perfectly until I needed to change the name of the computer and now I can no longer connect in Oracle SQL Developer 3.1.
I restarted Oracle 11 g by stopping and restarting. The order message said stop and start successfully. This tells me Oracle 11 g Express is running, but I can no longer
connect to Oracle SQL Developer 3.1.

    How can I fix?

    Thank you all!

    J man,

I'm not a pro at Oracle XE, but I would say that this is not a problem of SQL * Developer, but the listener of OracleXE.
Now, I'm in total guessing game mode:
find the "listener.ora" file in your Oracle installation (from [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17781_01/server.112/e18804/network.htm#ADMQS168] this document is c:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\NETWORK\ADMIN\listener.ora
I'm sure that it is coded in the old hostname, simply replace it with the new host name.
Restart your receiver and please try to connect again.

  • Updated NIC now I can't connect to vSphere

I have a system with ESXi installed 5.x, I made changes to NICs because for some reason they were only running in half duplex mode for some reason any. The card has been set to Auto and I forced it 100 Full and then I lost the connection to vSphere. I now can not connect to vSphere because it was networking... What can I do now? Im not too experienced with ESXi so Im at a loss.

    TIA

    Hi AmDD,

Great that you have access KVM! You can do the following to get management on your ESXi rogue server:

    1. Press and then logon with 'Root' and password
    2. Select Troubleshooting Options in the customization of the system screen
    3. Press to enable the ESXi environment so that it displays ESXi Shell is selected in the right pane
    4. Press to the local shell
    5. 'Root' login and password

At this point, you should have a shell with ~ # on the screen and a cursor blinking on ready for the entry. If this is the case then continue

    1. Run network vswitch standard list esxcli (assumes that you use a standard vSwitch and not a distributed vSwitch)
    2. Note uplink associated with this vSwitch (read the physical network adapters)
    3. Run network nic set-n vmnic5 - esxcli has
    4. Repeat for all the vmnic related delinquency vSwitch

Once you have confirmed you have taken over the management of the perpetrator, then you can store as follows:

    1. Press to return to the DCUI
    2. Follow steps 1-3 in the first section, but make sure that esxi Shell is disabled
    3. Press can again to disconnect from the DCUI
    4. Grab a cold beverage of your choice and sit back to relax

Note: This is not strictly necessary but does not remove the fingerprints

  • I did a system restore and now I can not connect. Error code oxc004e002.

I ran the restoration of the system and now unable to connect. Error code oxc004e002 AAn arrives. McAfee also keeps poping up saying that I am not protected

    Hi Rita Morgan,.

    1. on what application you can not connect?

    2. When you mention "sign in" mean, you are not able to boot to the desktop?

    3. have you updated your McAfee security software?

Make sure that it is not expired and updated your McAfee software up-to-date.

Follow the steps below and check, if it helps.

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode with network and check if that helps to connect.

    Step 2:

This problem can also be caused by a malware, I you have to perform a full scan in safe mode with network in order to remove the malicious software and since then, your McAfee does not protect your machine, I would have you to run a scan using the link below.
