charge of battery in the laptop brand new

Just bought a brand new asus COMP and wondered to leave it permanently connected, I mean that is good for the battery?... did some research and did not really have a good answer... looks like one that suits is to charge to 80% and then let it go down to 40%...? Anyway, I would appreciate any advice... Thanks in advance... :))

The vast majority of laptops is almost never powered by battery.  Users plug in, and they remain like that.  Lithium-ion batteries are not really sensitive to changes of State of charge.

It is also easy to just remove the battery and put it aside.

    Hi @Phanz,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I entered which you have tried to download the driver on the HP website for your laptop but realized you need the model number.  You have removed the battery while the laptop is running.  Now when you reinstall the battery, it shows that it is connected but does not charge and continues to 7%.   You have repeated the process and close Notepad and removed and reinstalled battery, but there was no change. If you turn off it charges the battery to 100%.

You did all your Windows updates?

Have you tried the troubleshooter in Windows?

First of all, I would like to try a Windows restore to before remove you the battery.

HP computers - using the Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

If restore doesn't work or is not possible, you could try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8).

Then you can try the following steps.

HP laptops - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

The battery method compatible ACPI Microsoft control is basically the driver that communicates between the computer and the battery. There is a chance that it became corrupt and bad reads the battery level.

Step 1. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 2. Select the stacks
Step 3. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
    Step 4. Click on uninstall
Step 5. At the command prompt, put a checkmark in the box to remove the current driver
Step 6. Shut down the computer

Step 7: Remove the battery for a minute and then put new

When the computer returns to the top it should automatically find the driver.

Step 8. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 9. Select the stacks
Step 10. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
Step 11. Click "automatically search for an updated driver.

Do the same thing with embedded controller compatible ACPI Microsoft.

Last option is to reinstall your Windows 8.1 Pro.

  • HP Envy 17: No HDMI out Audio Option on laptop, brand new HP Envy 17

I'm watching youtube and other video streaming on my TV. I have a receiver that has 5 hdmi that I use to run my appliances. When I plug my cable HDMI video playback on my tv but not audio, and I hear the external device disconnect sound. I opened the Device Manager and see a mistake above Hi Definition audo device under sound. I am very frustrated trying to diagnose this. HP support has updated the bios and searched, and pretty much shrugged and said we do not know. I've updated the audio driver and no chance here. On my 8 year old laptop, wives, all you do is right click on the white speaker and select an hdmi output.

    Cliffs:

Plug HDMI laptop brand new, video plays on TV no sound, tried installing new drivers and updated CV updated the bios and still no luck.

No option to HDMI in the playback devices

    I tried 5 different cords

Cannot start the error above Hi Def Audio Device under Device Manager Code 10 device

Replacing the motherboard seems to be the best resolution if the HDMI port has indeed.  I suggest to use the warranty. I ask that your question is raised.

  • Pavilion 15-ab043sa: cannot reset to factory settings after the upgrade computer laptop brand new 10 Windows

I bought 2 new laptops, they seem to be special models not listed is not in the HP support site, purchased from Currys PC World in the United Kingdom.

First HP Pavilion 15-ab045sa laptop computer 15.6 "-red, upgraded to windows 10 perfectly well and I made a backup of the system while I studied the creation of recovery media (this info must be printed with the laptop in the box, rather than letting the user have to find BTW)."

The other a HP Pavilion 15-ab043sa laptop computer 15.6 "-blue, for my parents, has turned into a total disaster."

The two models are the same, except that the first is red and the other is blue, that's why they have different product numbers?

I was now in a position where the recovery on the D: drive partition is not a factory reset.

I did not even recovery disks as having the first one to go smoothly, I thought the same thing would happen on the second laptop and I got the recovery disc then.   I tried to create a USB stick recovery, but I had no one who can save the system settings - need at least 32 GB free.

This occurred as first I started the laptop, made of windows, MS Office 365 updates, added then waiting 2 days for windows 10 to arrive.  When it came it installed fine and then I added a printer driver for an HP printer and made some configurations of the operating system.  At the next reboot showed something was wrong as the boot took over 7 minutes.  As the synaptics app was referenced twice in the tab start Task Manager also had strange things in the system.  Rather than go back to a previous system restore point that I attempted to identify what was wrong and uninstalled all without success.  I then had the opportunity to go back to 8.1 for Windows or "reset the PC.  Not a lot of explanation on delivery to zero and certainly no warning options that the D: partition was no longer valid.  Windows options were "in my face" so I don't think watching HP recovery.  So I chose to run from Control Panel 'Reset the PC and keep the files'.  So, indeed, I now have a clean install of Windows 10 but have lost all applications that were on the factory orginal building.  I see no way to re - install all of these programs and find the license keys.  I have more HP recovery at all.

So I have no way to put the blue doesn't return to the factory settings.

Advice please, I want a laptop blue, the same as the red, i.e. Windows 10 with all applications that have come to the factory as well as the correct printer drivers and a time of less than 30 seconds of starting.

You are not sure if there is anything I can copy from red to blue to get it going again?

Any help gratefully appreciated, thank you

  • Satellite A100 - save the battery when the laptop in a longer retention

Hi, I have a * Satellite A100 * about 4-5 years. There was no intensive use (it's hospitality do not work) and is in good shape.

I go there for at least 6 months and will PLAN A - most likely need to put the computer in stock, that is to say. No one will be able to access. PLAN B - there is a very low probability that someone could "baby sit" it but it can't count on him.

Can anyone suggest what is the best way to deal with the LiOn battery in the above two cases?

Can I remove or leave in the laptop?

Is there a way to stop the battery completely dead while in storage / is not not in use?

    Thanks... any advice appreciated.

    Hey Buddy,

In my opinion it makes no difference if you put the battery 6 months or leave it in the computer. In both cases, the battery must be charged because it also loses power when it s turned.

If nobody is using the computer you can remove the battery, otherwise and someone would use you can install the battery.

Yes, the replacement of the battery is very simple:

  • 15z HP touchscreen laptop: computer laptop brand new will not start

My brand new laptop just cameo yesterday and it keeps showing "Boot Menu" with 2 options (FreeDOS and Documents HP). Hi @Iamtrucpham ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your issue on your laptop HP 15z touch and issues with Free Dos. This laptop does not include Windows, you need to buy Windows separately. Free distribution of base back requires no fees or royalties, and the creation of custom distributions is permitted.

You have a few options. I can't tell you that we chose, I only know you what they are. The first option is to buy a copy of Windows from a retailer and install it on your computer.

If it's now what you wanted, please use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help speed up the process of appeal:

    Hello world

I will be grateful if someone can help me answer my question, how do I extend my battery life... I don't want to say how many hours it can operate my laptop, but I mean to last for many years without change in its performance.

Some of my friends told me to remove the battery so I use alternating current, in fact I heard a lot of discussions on this subject and I really need a specific answer.

    Thank you

    Hello

You use your laptop most of the time to battery power?

95% of the time of work, I use my laptop on the power supply. To be honest I have never removed battery and battery operation is still almost 2 hours.
I use from time to time for computer laptop battery power. I leave the laptop running until the battery is almost empty. What you want to do?

By the way: what model of laptop do you have?

  • How to work up to an incorrect time on your laptop brand new

This is a whole new notebook HP Zbook 17 G2 with incorrect time.  He was placed in use on 20/09/2015.  Operating system is windows 7 Professional.  In the last month and a half I used time settings and have updated and changed to windows.com in optics to nw.nist.gov to a.nist.gov to b.nist.gov.  On each of these settings, the computer loses time.  Accompanied by a cheque for 24 hours, he was about 50 seconds.  Recently, I saw http//time.is and it displays seconds behind.  It is now 56.2 seconds behind.  The computer is under warranty for three years and has 2 years and 10 months remaining.  The manufacturer did not offer to replace the personal computer.  Instead, they offered to replace the motherboard with a refurbished motherboard and replace the battery in the clock or just replace the battery of the clock.

What methods are there to test the battery for the clock?

What methods are there to test the functions of the motherboard of timing?

How could determine whether software interfering with the holding of the exact time?

What software is available that could test either or both the clock battery or motherboard?

I doubt that the battery is the cause of this.  I would opt for a change of motherboard.
