• Satellite Pro L20: battery not charge when the power adapter is connected

  all advice appreciated.

  I had a Satellite Pro L20 for about 18 months. Recently, battery does not charge when the power adapter is connected. The battery light starts yellow (which means more liberated, I think?), then will both green, the machine sat for awhile. However the ACPI often said that AC is "offline."

  There are two recent occurrences that coincide with this problem, I try to eliminate:

  1. my friends rat chewed by the feeder for pets! Power is Mobile OK insofar as he fled sector - the rat seems to have simply chewed by the outer cover (I see some threads, but I think that is just a shield, although I'm not an electrician).

  2. I put the laptop in hibernation for the first time. That seemed to mess up the system a bit, which was what initially drew my attention to the problem. This question is a bit complicated because I'm under Linux (Xubuntu).

  I updated the drivers etc from windows when I bought the laptop. Never had any problems until now and have been running linux for centuries. Also, I have mainly the laptop the power supply turned off, but do not remove the battery (is that really a problem these days?)

  I obviously need to replace the adapter, but is - it is likely (and how I can check) that the battery was borked until?

  First, please check if the other are lit.
  If the AC led and power led are on the adapter sector is ok and it provides the power to the laptop.

  If the battery LED is yellow, this means that the battery is not fully charged and if the Green led changes then recharging is caught and the battery has been recharged.

  So I really don t see any problems with the charge process.

  Maybe the battery is old and so you cannot use it for an extended in such a case only the replacement of the battery could help.

  Just need a simple answer – where can I buy an adapter female-female lightning replacement to load my pencil of Apple.  I just got back from a business trip and may have left mine in a returned rental car along with a cable replacement... all I know is it's gone.  I have read several similar topics where people responded to anything other than the original question, so please - I don't like on other, unrelated with coins or suggestions.  All I want to do is buy a replacement for the small part that came with the pencil of Apple.  Thank you in advance to get useful answers.

  Contact Apple support. They will send you one for a small fee (something on the order of US $10 if I remember).

• Satellite U400-13 t - battery won't charge / no indicator the adapter

  The battery may charge only when the laptop is not working. In the systray icon does not display an adapter.

  I can't update the bios because the updater wants to adapter.

  Any ideas?

  Now, I would try to help you:

  Is the adapter of this OK?
  Have you tested other adapter sector and batteries?
  I think that this should be the first step here.

• Satellite L450-136 no longer charge with the AC adapter

  I was wondering if someone can help me.

  My laptop Toshiba Satellite L450-136 charge is no longer with the AC adapter.

  It is now run out of dead and the battery power.
  I don't know if the problem is with the computer or the power cable.

  It was working fine yesterday and then not work this morning.
  Nothing happened as the computer having fallen or anything.

  Does anyone have any ideas on how I can understand the problem and then fix it?

  To be honest, I have two different laptops Toshiba (U400 and Tecra A11).
  The two race perfectly and never had problems charging the battery or similar
  I have other laptop which is 8 years from another manufacturer but the battery is dead, but it's nothing unusual for laptop that is so old ;)
  One of my friends has the same laptop as your Satellite L450 and this also works

  This can be verified if you would connect a power adapter new and tested.
  However, I think that it s not worth it to buy a new adapter only to run some tests, this should be done by technicians for laptop
  If your warranty is still valid, get in touch with the ASP guys and check this box

  As a former owner of Lenovo laptops, I have 3 battery chargers. Two of them use the old round plug end. And of course the tip of the E540 is a new flat.

  I would like to leave a charger at work to lighten the bag.

• Iconia W4-820 will not charge with the power adapter USB Std

  Bought my W4 Iconia four weeks ago, a demonstration model, the last of them. It was packed in the box with a micro USB x adapter USB OTG cable and a power adapter. Back at home I discovered that the power adapter has been to Asus, possibly mixed in the shop. The prospective buyer of the Asus Tablet demo likely will get the Acer adapter. Adapter Asus with micro USB male connector works fine; specs are 5.2V - 1.35 amps; seems to be a STD USB adapter. The Asus adapter has a connector to USB female port to connect to a USB x microphone cable to USB adapter (with cable power adapter came in the box). Bought a 2nd power with USB 2 socket adapter to connect my W4 Iconia and my Garmin Zumo390 browser to an adapter. Specs are 5V - 3.5 amps.
  The Zumo works very well with the new card, but does not work my W4. Charge light stays off. USB ports switched to he Zumo and the Iconia W4, but same result. Zumo fresh, but W4 not. Borrowed another power adapter USB, 5V - 2 mines anti-personnel and new Zumo accusations, but the W4 still does not work. Also tried different USB adapter cables, but the same thing; Zumo invoice, W4 does not work.
  How is that possible? I can't tell the difference of 0.2 V between the Asus adapter and a USB adaptor STD would make the difference. But maybe I'm wrong. Wanted for adapters for the W4 Iconia and found several, but all the 5V as expected.
  Can anyone help.
  Will go to the shop again next week, but if I need an adapter V 5.2 I should order with Acer. 5.2 V adapters do exist not (readibly).

  Resolved issues. A dark and humid Sunday afternoon back to the store with the Tablet and all the bells and whistles. Changed the card Asus for the original Acer 5V - 2Amps (10W). Took the time to find the Acer adapter in the store. Demonstrated the adapter 2nd with 2 output USB ports and it wouldn't work with the Tablet W4. Tried another and found to be ok. 2 USB ports have a different power, a port for a smartphone and the other port is one tablet. Total power rating of the adapter is 17.5W (5V - 3.5Amps); some 2.5 and 1Amps. A happy man is back home again.

  If stop you it it does not load. Just pause, and it will load fine.

  All batteries have a limited life expectancy (a limited number of charge/discharge cycles). To increase battery life, the Sony battery maintenance program allows the user to choose a setting to stop laptop at 80% or 50% battery charge, which increases the useful life of the battery. Constant 100% charge and discharge of a battery creates additional wear on its load cells and decreases battery life expectancy. Maintenance of the battery of the parameters are in the VAIO Control Center application.

  Battery maintenance is disabled by default, but if a user commonly uses the laptop plugged in on current alternative for long periods, the battery will be beneficial to allow maintenance of the battery, not letting the battery charges to 80%. When it is disconnected from the power supply, the battery will not work the system as long with only 80% of costs, but it will save the cycles of load on piles and let the battery perform well for an extended period before the need for replacement.

• cFP-PWM-520 drops out after 30 seconds. Power would be bad or controller?

  PSC 2110 with PWM - 520 5 s and 3 modules of CFP HAVE completely stopped working.  If I disconnect all the output channels and manually put them in MAX.  However, now I can't even by car out of a PWM, that after providing the voltage for about 30 seconds, all of the channels on this PWM switched off.  Cannot determine if this is the problem with the controller, or perhaps electric power is a failure.  Power supply shows a constant 24 volt.  I can reset the controller and then all 8 channels are specified voltage output for about 30 seconds, then remove from pan.  This system is used for lighting low voltage on a display of aircraft cockpit.  Any help appreciated.

  Updated the current drivers, and question still remained.  I have reformatted the memory on the controller of the CFP, reloaded the drivers and then started with the dip switch 6 on so no vi charge and everything behaves as it should now.  I believe that we can have a power failure or the power peak which occurred near this show, not sure.  But we are on the right track now.  Thanks for your help and your advice.

  AC adapters can go wrong, or the computer may have a problem.

  Turning the computer off and remove the AC adapter and connections. Take the
  battery and then put it again. Do not use a powerstrip or inverter. Reconnect
  adapter to the wall outlet and the computer. (Of course ensure outlet
  has the power).

  If there is no improvement:

  Check with a real computer store (one that makes its own service internal and not of leeks)
  and displays a Best Buy or other stores) or system manufacturer support. Also
  Ask known problems in their forums.

• SE diagnostic message of error/wireless card driver

  I get the message "the wireless adapter or the driver is facing a problem. However, the Device Manager shows the adapter works correctly and the drivers are up to date. I downloaded the drivers anyway, but received the same message. I show a signal of stong in the available networks box and an indication "linked to the limit access. If I tryn to print to the printer wireless I have no connection message. I have other computers connected to the network with Internet access. What is my next steps? The adapter would be bad well do the job correctly the message?
