Charger Batt Treo 800w

When I plug my Treo 800w in the home charger, the led lights green and the lighting bolt shown on the screen, but after a leaving fresh all day the batt indicator is still white, the I also have to take out the battery to turn the phone on. I used the car charger for an hour so so and the indicator always shows all white, I have the Treo for 3 or 4 days the first night charged batt and showed all black

Thanks for any help on this.

I also out the battery every time I want to use activesync, I learned this trick on the help forum thank you.

If it displays everything white, it should be full. You can click on the battery with your stylus icon and it will show how much percentage of battery you have left.

  • WiFi not appearing icon does not treo 800w

My bluetooth icon and the phone display, but the wifi does not work someone can direct me on how to solve this problem?

I called and set up a technical for calling me and found support as the TREO 800W (#1 replacement) is defective.  He apparently has a 'defective radio '.  The tech walked me through a hard reset and that was supposed to be the fix, it wasn't.  The Palm experience is depressing that I just got this phone as a replacement for a TREO 800W purchased in October 2008.   Another replacement is ahead.

I have no idea what the problem with the first phone was except that she would charge is no longer and the replacement works with the original charger and battery.  The phone that is shipped on January 8 will be the third phone in less than 90 days.  I am not satisfied with this phone.

  • Another Treo 800W battery problem

Treo 800w-Charges fine when connected by USB to computer, but slowly drains when it is connected to the wall charger.  "Patch" battery is installed.  All applications are closed.  Wi - Fi and bluetooth are disabled. Try to use another wall charger autonomous (OEM), did not help.

Application of third party "Off" PDANet.  This seems to solve the problem.

  • Problem with Treo 800w and 2008 Nissan Altima

I can get my treo 800w for pairing with my 2008 Nissan Altima, he tells me again my battery and the singal strength, I can even answer the calls. But when I answer a call or make a call you can not hear the person at the other end, nor they can hear me. I know that this is not a problem with the car, because the other phones work very well. Please let me know if there is a fix for this or if it's something in the works.

    Thank you

So I went to the dealership and they were basically looking at my like I'm a fool. They said that they could not do the update, because they have never heard of him. I went home and called Nissan Bluetooth support and they told me that I have to buy Navigation DVD 7.4 in order to get the update. The price is $ 299 at the dealer and $190 of navteq. So I asked the guy to support if I buy the drive on mine it will fix my problem, he said no because when you buy the merchant, they will check your system to make sure that it is compatible with the new dvd navigation and perform the updates. I think its crap they have simply not do the update with the charge me for a new navigation dvd. The tech support guy remind me and offered me a work-around to get bluetooth working on the car. This isn't the best solution, but it works. Basically, pair you the phone and make your call. When the call is in course/ringtone, click the button on the screen to switch to your device, that it will be set on your phone. Then click phone on the wheel button, and everything will work correctly. I tired it and it works. This leads me to believe it's a problem with Nissan and not WM, but I'm not an expert.

  • Treo 800w cannot assign OneNote to hardware button

I just upgraded to a 755 p of a Treo 800w (after owning a 650, 600, Palm Vx and Palm Pilot before that).  For the most part, I was very happy.  Frankly, the only real issues I had have been with Windows Mobile Device Center.  The rest of the transition has been very well, except the YEARS of change of habits.

Here's my question.  I am trying to assign OneNote Mobile to a hardware button, but OneNote is not in the list of available applications to assign.  Other ROM apps and installed applications are present, including other Office Mobile applications, simply no OneNote.  This could be the cause of this problem?

Here's what I do: go to start--> settings--> personal--> buttons.  Click on the button I want.  Search in the "assign a program:" drop-down list.

    Thank you

    David

The OneNote Mobile icon is in Windows/Start Menu/Office Mobile. I copied the icon OneNote Mobile for Windows/Start Menu/Programs. OneNote then appeared in to assign applications.

I didn't have to do this before because that Word, Excel and Powerpoint all appeared in the list of applications to assign and their shortcuts are only in the Office Mobile directory. Guess I need to think outside of the box on Windows Mobile...

  • Treo 800W Wifi - possible to force the Wifi to stay on?

Is there a way to keep the WIFI while option in the Office with the Palm Treo 800w?

It turns off when the screen saver is activated.

What is a power saving option.

    Thank you

    Hi milani,.

Welcome to the Palm Forums. The default setting is for WiFi turn on whenever screen only. It is an energy saving feature. The theory behind this is the following: If the screen is not on, then you probably don't have a connection because you aren't interacting with the device.

That being said, you can disable this feature. Click Start-> settings-> connections-> WiFi Prefs tab. On one of the tabs (I think it's power settings), there will be an option for always.

I highly recommend NOT doing, your battery life will collapse, but the option is there if you still want to continue.

  • Treo 800w - Internet access?

    Hello

I'm a newbie in the world of mobile wireless.  I am unable to connect to the internet using my Treo 800.  It always shows a message, "cannot find the page.  Check the spelling. "or something like that.  My spelling was correct for Web pages.

Is the internet connection through my wireless phone, or do I need to be connected to Wifi?

    Help, please!

    Rebecca

    Hello!

As long as the phone has been correctly supplied by Sprint, all you have to do is turn on the raidio cell and go in internet explore for your internet needs.  WiFi is another option, but it's another option to connect to wifi access points.  The Treo 800w can do both cell and Wi - Fi for internet.  Try a soft reset of the phone, turn the cellular radio back to see if that does the trick.  Also make sure you have a suitable signal coverage and the wifi or the radio cell is running while waiting on you desired method of connectivity.

  • Ghost email account after the restoration again Treo 800w combined

I had to replace my Treo 800w because I could no longer calls. I used Activesync and Sprite backup to restore my data and apps on my new camera. A few issues I had with this is that I now have a ghost on the device e-mail account. On the today screen, it shows the email account I had set up on my previous 800w and shows I've got 62 unread emails. When I click on it it does not open the e-mail folder but goes to the account selection screen. Initially, she had the opportunity to set up a new account. I tried to set up a new account, but it says that the name was already used, I changed the name and I'm able to get to the email address of the account but I can't get rid of the old account which always appears on the screen today. It's really annoying.

Any help to delete this account would be appreciated.

    Mark,

Thanks for the reply. In fact, I found an easier way to solve the problem.

    1) go to Sprite backup settings and uncheck the e-mail.

    (2) make a backup.

    (3) do a restore. No e-mail accounts don't are set up again.

    (4) set up the desired e-mail account.

This fixed my problem without doing the hard reset.

  • Treo 800W Yahoo Messenger problem (unsolved problem)

I contacted Yahoo about the problem of Messenger on the phone reading a (error 500 - Server is not available) and they said that it wasn't on their end and that sprint would have to tech the problem, their software / call them.

However, after a long and tedious call tech to sprint, they were unable to resolve the problem and put it on the list of "pending issues".

AIM and MSN messenger to start properly and the connection, however, Yahoo has this 'error 500' message every time and don't ever work even if the phone was totally given to zero with the help of technology. My yahoo account has been verified for checking the connection by online technology and was fine.

Someone has this problem and if so, is there any resolution out there yet? I really want to communicate with friends across the country over my day, and unless it is resolved I have that access.

    Thanks for reading

Nothing seemed to work with the original name of Yahoo I held long and can connect using the Web on a pc, but not with the phone. When a new ID has been created for the web and the phone pda gained access. Had to be something with the configuration on the end of yahoo with the old name.

Problem solved! Thanks for the suggestions folks when you fell, you're alone, trying to solve a problem like this its great knowledge is out there who care enough to help out.

Is it possible to synchronize other than RNDIS for Treo 800w? The 700wx a wonderful only utility built in (http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/usbswitch/index.html) that allows him to turn it off while it's just a simple synchronization of the former.

Synchronization, all data must be restored. Then go to tools and Add/Remove programs in activesync and check applications that you want to reinstall.

  • Treo 800w not found in Device Manager and does not connect to ActiveSync

I just got my Treo 800w and I have ActiveSync it once.  After that, I had a lot of trouble trying to get activesync to say that it was connected to the computer.  After doing some research on Google and help forums looking around, I discovered that the Treo should appear in my device manager when you are connected to the computer.  I went to my device manager and of course, it wasn't there.  After a lot of time trying to make it work, I found that the best thing to do is remove the battery and plug it in again.  Then the computer will find again.

However, I also learned what was causing my problem and I don't know if it's a windows or a problem of palm, but it is a question.  If you connect a Treo 800w on a WinXP (I don't have Vista so I don't know if this problem exists) and even if you touch it connected the power button on all Windows POPs a message saying a USB device has malfunctioned and will cease to recognize the device.  I then told my wife (the main user of the Treo) to never touch the power button and even less the Treo at all while it is plugged into the computer.

If this question has already been posted... I'm sorry that I'm not looking for it...

If you read my entire post it says I already found the solution.  Try all the things you listed didn't work for my problem.  I write only because I believe that it is a bug/problem with palm or windows and the device.  Take the battery, put the battery back in, and reconnect the unit is the only thing that works.

I also tried to uninstall ActiveSync, reboot, install ActiveSync and the battery... it works too, but it's much faster to just remove the battery then put it back and reconnect the device.

To answer your other question on ActiveSync Yes, I've got 4.5.

  • Treo 800w E-mail

I bought a new Treo 800w 2 days ago and can't get my email to send. I use the cable (www.charter.net) of the Charter as my provider on my computer at home with Outlook 2003. I set up my email on my Treo and it will now receive email, but not send. I tlked to support Palm, Sprint and Charter, and nobody knows how to operate. Someone knows how to fix this problem or should I just buy an e-mail program? If I need a new program, anyone know a good CHEAP one that will work with my chat account?

    Thanks in advance,

    grabeard

Configure as a POP3 server and all of your Charter e-mail will come to him. You can send and receive from him. When configuring GMail you you can import contacts from Charter or MSOutlook 2003, but on the phone if you want to send it will take you to your contacts on the phone just like your old.
