Charging on the keyboard cable

Hello

I ve just buy a tablet of yoga 2-1051

to load the keyboard, I have a micro usb cable witch seem to be different than the cable of load data used for the Tablet

Can I use the data cable to load the keyboard without damaging anything?

I tested the two cables provided and other micro usb cables and they all work the same. Any micro usb cable should work.

The only difference between the two supplied cables is the thickness, or shielding. The thicker cable is shielded and designed to be plugged into the yoga. Better armoured cables resist interference that can interfere with wifi or other usb devices.

  • Unable to release the keyboard cable in Omnibook XE2

    Hello world

This is my first post here and it's probably going to be a silly question but I am a novice when it comes to disassemble the laptop so I thought I might as well ask people who know better things that I don't want to spoil anything.

I have this old Omnibook XE2 I started to disassemble but got stuck because I cannot remove the keyboard connector cable. The Service Manual shows both sides of the cable and then gently pull upwards, but it won't come out this way. Happens a little when I shoot, but I pull hard enough and I fear I'm going to break something. I thought there might be a lock or a clip that must be open to pull the cord, but as I've never done this before, I am a little hesitant on how to do it.

I enclose a few photos so you can see what the connector looks like.

    Any help is appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Hello lackua,

You must unplug the Ribbon for the keyboard cable.

You will need to remove the base plastic too; It should be part of the Ribbon.

I would like to know how everything goes.

    Nice day.

  • How to replace the keyboard Vaio 15 Flip

If the keyboard on my Flip 15 suddenly stopped working. Market not even work in the BIOS. I tried a coercive power off and battery off pinhole and nothing has helped. The backlight still works and if I press Capslock on a USB keyboard, the green light on the laptop press Capslock becomes very well, but not a single key on the keyboard does nothing. The key of the Windows logo on the screen still works, and the Assist button still works. Good thing the BIOS menu takes in charge the touch pad AND the touch screen!

I wanted to see if the keyboard was replaceable, so I can go on the order of one off eBay or something (unless Sony sells parts direct?), so here are some photos I took along the way.

After power off, switch off the power of the battery using the trombone for 2-3 seconds

After removing the 3 rubber feet, there are 10 screws to screw

Lift the casing to open gently and work your way around the edges.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/Step4.jpg

There are 8 screws that hold the battery. Remove and remove the battery.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/Step5.jpg

Although only the upper-left corner of these 4 screws is now directly the keyboard, remove the other 3 and turn the shutters to exit both cables in water. Remove the hard drive here will make it easier to push on the bottom of the keyboard later.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/step6.jpg

Yet once, only the top left screw shown here directly holds the keyboard, but the last screw attached to the keyboard is behind this metal, so unscrew the 5 others live here marked 1-5. These 5 will not come out all the way.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/Step7.jpg

Unplug the power to the fan by pulling upward. The last screw attached to the keyboard is behind the metal as shown. I folded just Assembly of the road a little to access the screw.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/step8.jpg

Here you can see where the holes behind the hard drive, which allows you to easily start the withdrawal of the keyboard.

Only detach the superior, left and right by pushing upward and work your way around. The lower part of the keyboard (closest to the touchpad) will just slide upward and out after that the other 3 sides are released.

Here is another view with everything removed.

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/step10.jpg

The back of the keyboard, showing where the 3 screws attached. Tablecloth for the keyboard cables attach to the motherboard by dragging the output to the front (not not turning up like those on top of the hard drive).

    http://ark42.com/Sony/keyboard/step11.jpg

The keyboard is completely removed. Circles show where the 3 screws attach to the back.

Well, I hope this is all useful to people. I put all together and the laptop still works fine. The keyboard does not at all well, but I know that I can replace it myself now.

    * edit * will probably order http://www.ebay.com/itm//171781254290 because it does not resemble Sony sells direct parts I can find anywhere. Ordered http://www.ebay.com/itm/260951528702 instead for like $2 more, because the Canada ships seemed faster than ships from China.

  • Satellite L305D-S5904 - how to replace the keyboard?

How to replace a keyboard on a L305D-S5904? My keyboard has been damaged and there is no option but in replaces it.

    Hello!

Normally, you can remove the keyboard if you first remove the keyboard cover. Then you should see 2 screws holding the keyboard. Remove the two screws and now you can remove the keyboard, but don't forget to remove the keyboard cable too.

Disassembly of the laptop is a little tricky and if you don't know how to make a laptop technician should ask for help.
If your laptop is under warranty, the repair should be free.

  • Need a guide how to remove the keyboard on Satellite L40

Someone at - it a guide to remove the keyboard on the L40?

    Thank you

To remove the keyboard, remove the 2 screws in the bottom of the keyboard on the bottom of the case.
And turn the computer over and open the display.

Open the three latches securing the keyboard:
All three locks shall be driven strongly enough to allow the keyboard to transcend the locks, but careful not to destroy the locks when pressed it.

Then you can lift the keyboard a little and turn it face down on the palmrest. Then disconnect the keyboard cable from the on the motherboard and remove the keyboard.

But note; Be always careful and don't use force!

  • Satellite P300 - 1DT PSPCCE - how to change the keyboard

    Hello

I am looking for documentation of disassembly for my laptop.
I need to change the keyboard. I have 2 letters that are broken.

    Thanks a lot

    Clickservce

    Hello

Disassembly guides are not for the public, you can download the manual on the official website of Toshiba. I've never seen there other documentation.

In any case, exchange of keyboard should not be complicated. Just remove the keyboard between the speakers and the keyboard stand. After that, you can lift the keyboard itself but be careful with the keyboard under the keyboard cable. You must remove it also.

    Good luck! :)

    Hello

Connect the flat keyboard cable properly to the motherboard?
Make sure that the keyboard cable is firmly connected to the system board.
If the internal keyboard has been correctly connected, so I think there must be something wrong on the motherboard.

I think detailed diagnosis can be done by a technician with experience much more as a common user like you and me.

  • Is it possible to install the keyboard backlight?

HP dv7-4296nr switch the keyboard backlighting of the installation? Because I'm working often in the night, so it is very useful for me, but the current keyboard has no backlight, and I don't want to use an external light to connect via the USB port, because it is very distracting.

Access your model as seen in the screenshot.

When you get to the video section, click on "Keyboard" in the left column, yours is very easy.

Make sure you are connected before you click on the video link.

If the link or the video does not work, let me know and I'll post a bunch of screenshots.

At this point, you don't have to remove the real water for the keyboard to the motherboard. Everything we do here is to determine whether there is a connection on the MoBo for the backlight cable.

Look at the pictures of the backlit keyboard by ebay, the connection on the motherboard will coincide with the end of the keyboard cable. Note that the cable for the backlight is a separate cable and is quite small compared to the main keyboard cable.

If there is a cable, and when it comes time to unlock the ZIF connector to remove the keyboard, be very careful not to damage the connector.

The video is very clear, and if you follow his instructions that you have no problem, nothing should be forced. Make sure you and the main keyboard cable is properly aligned before blocking the paw of the ZIF connector.

If the ZIF connector is damaged to the point where the cable will be locked down, he condemns the whole motherboard.

If you don't feel able to do it yourself, then a repair shop can do for you. The procedure is very fast, so it shouldn't cost too much, it will take them only a few minutes to inspect the MoBo to ensure that the connector is there.

You can also find out if the seller has a return policy, just in case.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________

I had a quick glance and I found a picture of your mother board where the backlight cable connection should be. The screenshot shows where it should be, converted red (boxed). If there is no link here, then you're out of luck.

The connection will be similar to the connection of touch pad just below.

Both the charger and the sync cable should work very well.  Any connector mini-USB 5-pin works with the Clip and Clip +.  Also, make sure that the charger is 5V.  Anything higher than 5V could be a problem.

  • MS A30 - battery charging when I plug in the power cable

    Hello

I'm having some problems with (I think) on my A30 power management utility. When I am running on battery power and I plug in the power cable, the battery continues to discharge even if the laptop 'knows' that it runs on the power grid (ie the utility says "current generator: alternating current.") "Online, discharges: 82%. Strangely, if I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', then resume, she goes back to normal (i.e. working on current alternative, the battery charges).

It is true, I think that this began after I installed "PC Pitstop optimize Scan" www.pcpitstop.com (please, not conferences - I used a couple of their public services before and they were very good, so I thought it would be too much), so I guess it's some sort of configuration problem, but I have no idea where to go from here. I went through all the options on the power management utility, but they all look sensitive. Any ideas (other than do not install software stupid, doubtful)?

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

I experienced this behavior on my A30 where the system says it works on current alternative, but still drains the battery and stops eventually.

In my case the problem has proved to be a loose DC Jack that sometimes cuts off contact with the socket on the back of the laptop. This momentary loss of power DC seems to provoke the power management utility switch to battery power, even though the DC power is restored. The only way out of this situation is to Hibernate / restarting the laptop.

I think that it is a problem with the power supply subsystem in the laptop that does not react properly when it encounters a momentary loss of DC. Then the Toshiba power management utility is no longer responds correctly and switches to the battery power.

My only solution to this was to anchor the DC cable to the back of my A30 so that there is now no chance of the plug DC moving in its socket. This has proved to be very effective for my A30 and I've had no recurrence of the problem.

  • Keyboard dock does not charge on the propeller

I had the power drain from the dock, there remains 5% tablet.  When you try to load with tablet in dock, to restart, it would say error fan of keyboard dock, press F1 to continue.

Only problem is that the dock was dead and don't react only not to the presses.  Loaded my Tablet plugged directly on the charger overnight which worked well but an hour now in charge just the dock and nothing.

Does anyone else have this problem until the word is supported?

Looks like I solved my problem, reset the battery with the hole of a paper clip on the back.  Took a few tries, having to go back really in there, so I was worried about it, but then the LED on the "Thinkpad" logo blinked, restarted with the tablet to dock and now work.

Word to the wise, do not completely drain the battery of the dock
