Check the disk recovery image it is stuck at 56%

I created the Recovery Manager recovery discs and the process stopped at 56% when checking the image of a disk after you create it! I let it sit for more than an hour and he sits up to 56%!  I was wondering should I cancel the process or wait and so if she does not change and I have to cancel I will be able to restart the process or is this my only chance presence it say that you cannot create more than one set of recovery discs!

my computer is a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook pc windows 7 Home premium 64-bit

Usually, if the process does not properly complete, you can start no later than. HP can even send a free statement if you tell them that your software is unable to create the whole. Access to worldwide here contact information >

    Hi globetrotterdk,

Yes, the creation of the image in the Chrome operating system or by using the recovery utility of Chrome on a PC base with a Chrome browser will allow you to create a backup of Windows. The version of Chrome OS will be determined by what you and your material, so no reason to choose anything and for recovery of Chrome utility, they are trying to simplify this away so many different types of chromebooks, use the generic C720 will work for you.

  • Solutions error checking the disk and Restore Point, pointing to the other.

Yesterday, my wife picked up the package of virus Security Suite from somewhere and remove, I picked up an error when the disk check runs at startup. Check disk claims it is an error, check the drive and suggests restore since my last restore point. But when I do this, restore the system claims I have a disk error and I need to run the disk check. Which brings me right to the beginning of this problem.

I'm running 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, and have enabled the Windows updates. I use AVG and Malware Bytes to protect my system.

    Thank you!

You can run check disk from safe mode? This is a level of command prompt:

    CHKDSK x: /F /R

Where x: is the drive that you control.

  • Check the disk for consistency

I read messages will this question hide two to five years. I guess my problem is the same: black screen on startup with white 'BACK', writes, "one of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You can cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue. Windows will now check the disk. "What has happened three times in the last two months, and nothing was found in the mess at the end of the audit.

Responses to previous posts are frankly discouraging - at least for me. I want to know is if this disk check is a signal that all is not well with the computer, or if it's just a gene that will probably calm down. Would it not be in my interest to call a repairman? I'm not interested in venturing into the only registry.

    Thank you.

There is nothing remarkable or unusual in the chkdsk report, no bad sectors or the reported bad clusters.  Run the utility of diagnosis of the constructor on the drive and see if it reports disk problems, go to the web site of the manufacturer of the drive for the utility.

  • If the size of the disk recovery is asking more than the flash player?

I have laptop vaio with windows 8 inside. I want to create a recovery disk. He said that the flash drive must have 32 GB of space. but he has only 29.5 GB. will this be a problem? I really need to check the "copy of the recovery partition from the pc on the recovery disk? What happens if I don't? It starts to create the recovery with low memory drive? I'm totally confused. & I don't know much about PCs.

    Hello

What is the full error you receive when you try to create the recovery disk?

If you have an OEM computer comes with Windows 8 preinstalled, you can also check the box to copy the contents of the recovery disk recovery partition to be able to use the USB key recovery to restore the factory Windows 8.

The size required for the USB drive create a disc of Windows 8 recovery actually depends on the size of the recovery image Windows 8, which is stored on a dedicated PC recovery partition. This on the PC recovery Partition is generally 3 to 6 GB in size.

Windows 8 includes a built-in tool for creating a recovery USB disk and while creating this recovery USB drive, Windows considers the size of partition recovery on your computer and will let you know what is the recovery partition, so that you can use a USB to a larger size. For more information, please refer to this article:

  • Creation of the disk recovery Partition recovery disks or HARD.

I hope that I get good advice from experts today.

Is it possible to create a custom (mine) HARD drive recovery partition?

Is it possible to create discs of recovery with all the updates and the installed program?

Is it possible to update the recovery partition? (with whatever software and installed updates)

For example, I have a laptop pre-installed with Win XP SP2 and I have upgraded to Win XP SP3 and for some reason any if I restore my laptop with the recovery discs or HDD recovery partition, the laptop will be restored to the factory loaded condition (this is XP SP2). Once again, I have to install all programs and install all updates (XP SP3). If we can create a custom recovery disks or custom recovery partition then we can very quickly restore the laptop easily to the last condition (condition at the time of the creation of the partition to restore or restore disks). It would be better if we can create the recovery partition as nothing else is needed other than the laptop for the recovery.

Another option to achieve this is with Norton Ghost (or similar tool) but the problem is that we must always continue the Norton Ghost boot disk to start and recover the image. The compatibility problem with a model in particular must be checked. I installed Norton Ghost 9 on a laptop and the laptop turns off not with the shutdown command, and I have to turn off with the power button / stop. This problem was not to withdraw 9 of Norton Ghost. If we can create our own custom recovery partition, save us a lot of resources--time, money, broadband bandwidth and no tension of the installation of all new programs.

Experts should Tips how to create the custom recovery partition and if this function is not available now experts should examine the possibility of updating the required HARD drive recovery partition.

    PRK,

I assume you mean Windows 7 after having upgraded (since this is the forum for Windows 7).  Windows 7 has a disk Image feature that can do what you are looking for.  More information is here:

  • Qosmio x 500 10 - question of the disk recovery

If I had to remove all McAfee 30-day trial and office stuff, as well as all Toshiba stuff unnecessary and THEN created a recovery disc, it would create according to the current set up?

    N °
Original recovery image (you have preinstalled it now) is saved in folder HDDRecovery on the second partition. When you use pre-installed creator of recovery disk Toshiba to create installations of recovery disk tool pick up files from this folder HDDRecovery and create the disc of recovery facilities.

This means, if you delete this folder in the other place you will not be able to create this disc or start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

  • How can satellite M50 - what is on the disk recovery - I run

Hi, people, I have a Satellite M50 and a recovery disk, which is on the recovery disk? Y at - it windows Xp on it? Y at - it all the tools and utilities on it?, can I use it to reformat? How can I run?

    Thanks if you can answer

On the Toshiba Recovery CD, you will find a picture of Toshiba!
The image contains a Windows operating system, Toshiba drivers, tools, utilities, and additional programs like WinDVD, for example.
Using the Toshiba Recovery CD is the easiest way to install the OS on the laptop and set the notebook to factory settings

As said above the recovery CD will format the whole HARD drive. It would also be possible to erase the partitions! So be careful!

If you want to install the operating system or run the recovery CD, you put it in the drive and the start of the player. The pressing the C button allows you to start from the CD/DVD drive

    ACHOIWONG,
Well, it's system files to discover good good news.  Is probably why chkdsk does not work due to not having permission start upward.  Try to run it from an elevated command prompt:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type chkdsk c:/r

Try and let us know if it works.

  • Check the disk stopped running

I have a disk check run on my computer after the startup. He stopped at 41% full and seemed to be frozen. I turned off the computer and when I turned it on again, he went to the disk check automatically and is stuck at 41% again. I really just want this disk check. I'm sorry that I tried to do a few "maintenance".

If the memories are good, you can cancel the disk check if you press a key within 10 seconds after the message that the disk check is scheduled appears on the screen. However, the fact that the system blocks on the disk check can be alarming.
Check if there is no disk activity hard while the disk check is stuck at 41% (check the HDD LED or any Visual indicator on your box), check if you can hear the work of the disc. Finally, give him time (even an hour or two). Depending on the amount of data and errors do you repair process may take some time.

  • Where can I download the disk recovery Wizard

I have a Macbook Air with os x 10.9 on it and wanted to make a bootable recovery disk. Following the instruction on the Apple support site, I went to the Apple Store and a disk recovery Wizard search gave no results.

I have the recovery partition as an option on the hard disk, but there is no such use on the machine, or the Apple Store offers a download.

Maybe I can just use the unix 'dd' command - that would be sufficient unless there is a quirk of Mac it will mess up.

    Thank you

Here ' tis: OS X Recovery Disk Wizard v1.0. If you have saved a copy of your OS X Installer, you can do an installation fully bootable: create a Setup program bootable for OS X Mavericks in El Capitan - Apple Support.

  • Satellite A200 - how to use the disk recovery and backup all the files?

Hi I have a Satellite A200 that came with a "product recovery cd. Recently I got an infection/trojan/spyware such as windows defender was taken over by something else (a lot of error abnormal messaes and asking me to purchase the full version). I'm no expert, but surely, I know that windows defender is a free program.

Anyway, please could someone give me advice on the best way to solve this problem. that is the best option to use. Is there anyway that I can back up the files that I have (with the exception using an external HD drive).

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

_How to use the recovery disk? _
That s pretty easy: insert the diskette and boot from it that s all!
In addition, you will need to follow the instructions on the screen and make a few clicks, but that s really all!

    _How to save files? _
First of all I m asking you ask for it. You didn't make a backup yet? What do you do if your HARD disk down the next morning?

In any case, the Toshiba recovery disc erase your entire HARD drive. This means that you must back up your files to an additional disk. Everything on the drive HARD internal will be deleted.

You don t want to use an external HARD drive? Why?

  • Ive just restored my laptop from the disk recovery, and commissioning I get an error 8007045 B code, anyone have any help? __

think that it pretty much says it all in the title!

    Hi legar72,

    1. you have made a full recovery system on the laptop using the recovery disk?

The error code - 8007045B is associated with failure to install.

If you have used the system recovery disk provided by the laptop manufacturer to perform a system recovery.

You will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information about the installation failure.

    I hope this helps!
