Check the process of cpu on a Pix 525 Version 7.2 (2)
Hi all,
A few hours ago I got a high CPU usage on my Pix 525 Version 7.2 (2), I wanted to check what process was taking all the CPU, but I noticed that there is no command "show processes".
I was able to see the percentage of CPU utilization (cpu, CPU utilization show show) but not the list of processes, does anyone know how can I check this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi Alfonso,.
There should be a command "show processes" in 7.2 (2). Make sure you have the appropriate permissions to use this command.
There's even a command 'show proc cpu-hog' who will show you the last three albums CPU hogging deals, and when they were last hogging CPU:

Process / task manager has a svchost.exe thatreally slows down and sometimes crashes my computer. Windows XP Media Center Edition with
SP3. Is there any solution for this?
It is usually associated with the Services. One instance of "svchost" can support multiple services.
The first step is to download and run the "Process Explorer" from Microsoft
<>http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653 >
This program is the the Task Manager on steroids (once you try it, you'll never go back to the Task Manager). Once you start, you should have no trouble to identify which instance of "svchost" consume all your CPU. When you do this, place your cursor on this "svchost" in the process column. A pop-up menu lists the services that are currently covered for this instance of svchost.New commissioning Services (start-> Run-> "services.msc"). Find running services that correspond to the list that you obtained in the previous step. A double click on this service will give you a screen that will allow you to Pause or stop this service. Try to stop the appropriate services until you see your CPU down to normal. This will determine what service is the consumption of the CPU. How you handle this from here will depend on what you find.
(As a side bet, my money is on the "Windows Management Instrumentation" service.)
HTH & good luck,

We monitor our ESXi 4 with Nagios serververs, and they were released without a restart en 2-3 months, NW and we are starting to receive alerts that there are many processes that run and (300 +), and I have o medium to know which deal with "kill-9".

Hello!
Wie use vFoglight to monitor our virtual environment and we habe too active processes.
My question is this: we want to have a report about how the top on the hosts monitored (with the name of the process and CPU/memory usage). I have not found a model or a metric for this. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance! This is not a canned report that comes with the system. Usually you can create a report of any dashboard vFoglight by using the action panel on the right side of the interface, if this is not possible, then you should contact your sales or account holder in Vizioncore in order to request a customization.

What is the process of ESSSVR.exe?
Hi What exactly is this ESSSVR.exe procecess
If I'm not wrong then that is the process that is executed when essbase calculates anything or rather running any script or HBR
and when the calc is running, but there the memory when the calc is supposed to put an end to its supposed to free the right memory?
but when I check the process in the Task Manager it seems to be a process with this name, although the memory is not more about it but its still there, but I have not performed any calc in two days
I noticed earlier as well, but did not pay much attention to it but today I was loading the data and it gave an error message saying that the system resources are full and then I checked and found that this process is always there and memories of 1.6 GB and there are 3 more processes with the same name , but the memory acquired by them is not much
I checked and no processes are currently running in all essbase.
Help, please?Sharad sapra wrote:

If you have set your caches too high, then it is possible, they will try to use more memory than is available on your system.
There is some good information provided by JohnB on this post around caches - Re: Index Cache, data CacheSee you soon

I downloaded Adobe uninstall (for Mac, OS x 10.4ff) and he ran to get rid of old shards of Adobe Flash, be very careful to follow the Adobe provided through their Web site. The last thing they ask you to do is to "Check that the uninstall is complete", by restarting your computer and then open your browser and check the status of the Flash Player. BUT it seems not to be a way to check the State of Adobe Flash Player on current versions of browsers Mozilla product.
How can I check that the old version of 'Flash Player' is really gone?Firefox 41.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.8.5

Hi HM-design-2012,
If you send a subscription to Adobe, you will receive an email when a file was introduced in preview or download. Notifications are enabled by default, but you can disable them when you view the tracking detailed enforcement information Adobe send under "file sent".

Allowing ICMP and Telnet via a PIX 525
We are trying to build a new block of distribution to our backbone WAN. We are experiencing a problem when establishing ICMP and Telnet via the PIX. The following is known:
1 Ping and telnet to the 6509 and internal network works very well for the PIX.
2 Ping the 7206 for the PIX works just fine.
3 debug normal to see activity track ICMP for connections ICMP for the PIX of the network 6509 and internal; However, the debug shows nothing - no activity - during attempts to ping at a.b.5.18. (see below).
In short, all connections seem to be fine between the three devices, however, we can get ICMP and Telnet work correctly through the PIX.

Recognizing any help on proper routing through a PIX 525, given that all this is for a network internal.
on the 6509, why the int has a 24 subnet mask, when everything has a 28? If you try the 6500 ping.18, he thinks that it is on a local network, and there no need to route through the pix
Your access lists are confusing.
access-list # ip allowed any one should let through, and so everything that follows are redundant statements.
for the test,.
alloweverything ip access list allow a whole
Access-group alloweverything in interface outside
should the pix act as a router - you are effectively disabling all firewall features.

Hello
I bought my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop 2011 as it starts a is overheating, freezing windows with noisy fan sound etc... but now, on information in BIOS boot indicating that the CPU fan has stopped working so immediately, I checked that I couldn't hear any noise from fan and no symptoms as fan works so I disassembled my laptop and removed CPU cooler fan only. Simply with the help of the battery, I checked the CPU fan it is running perfectly alone. but it does not work with the laptop.
Please help me and guide what is the cause of this problem and how to solve this problem.

I understand that since you had the laptop he had an overheating problem with a loud fan noise that causes freeze it.
Recently, you have received the message that the CPU fan has stopped working and you couldn't hear the rotation of the fan to the top.
You have removed the fan and checked, but the fan works. It is possible that the connection was not safe in Notepad.
Here is a link to an overheating and Auto Shutdown problem troubleshooting.
Have you checked for an update of the bios of your laptop. You have provided the series of laptop you have, but not the exact model, so I'm not able to check it for you.

As the title, how can I use process Explorer to check PID 1176 60% CPU svchost.exe? Help, please.
The task manager has PID 1176-60% CPU, all the time, which I believe is the reason my pc works so slow.
How to use Exp Pro to know what is actually using 60% of my cpu, via svchost 1176 PID?
I found the Exp Pro Geek guide - but are struggling to pass for a non geek.
Using Vista 32 bit.
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Process explore uses more resources than svchost, it works automatically using a lot of memory. Anyway, the open task
Mgr, locate the svchost, R.click on the location of TI/properties/open a file. You will find that it is a service of microsoft.
The drain is usually in BITS, try to go to run, or cmd, type: services.msc in msc, locate BITS, R.click on it, open,
Set to manual start, exit msc, restart the pc.

The Windows 7 CPU usage does not correspond to processes
I used this system with Win7 64 bit for years and the normal use of the processor is 3% (I keep a monitor app open all the time). After a reboot, this morning, my use is stuck around 20%. Nothing terrible and my performance is fine, but it worries me because it is not normal. In addition, according to the focus of the mouse, 'busy' animation always goes, so it really seems that something is running. What is really strange is that I can not reconcile the CPU usage by the process of use/idle. When I bring up the Task Manager and look at the processes tab, the system idle process is consistently in the upper 90s and some processes show sometimes 1 or 2%. This is all quite normal and I expect to see. But the use of the CPU at the bottom of the window indicates 20% or more. It makes no sense at all. Idle process + the CPU usage must be about 100%. I realize that it has rounded passes with the percentages of process, but inactive processes should be 100 - all processes and thus only one percent or so off, not 15% off service.
Is it possible that a process is running, that is hidden from me? It seems unlikely that even if that were the case, it should affect the % idle process. I did go to the performance tab and click on the "Resource monitor" button to get more details, but who do not appear to reveal something new. Processes use about 20%, service about 1 or 2%. The list of the process here does not show the idle process, but looking at the process I see only 3-5% use if I add. This page gives percentages for the 100th of one percent, so it is not the question of rounding.
In the past, I could always correlate the use of the CPU in the process and you could see that was consuming the CPU and kill him if necessary. But now I don't know what is happening. Any suggestions on what to check would be appreciated.
I also, tried MSCONFIG and services and putting in service of the elements, everything makes sense, so I didn't try a clean boot. I have a system restore a few weeks ago (and the data is backed up each night), but I'd rather not have to go through all this.
Thanks for the help.

I tried to restart my computer, the I tried to uninstall and reinstall uninstall, delete all files of firefox and folders, then reboot and then reinstall. Also, I tried to open the Profile Manager to edit my profile. After you have reinstalled several times and try to open the Profile Manager before launching firef0x, I got the firefox crashed window and the process in the Task Manager always uses 50% of my cpu. The most recent strike and then re - download gives me an error "the file is corrupt" and will not even install the program.
Kill the process that you see, including any plugincontainer.exe, only once firefox has stopped running don't try to update.
Completely unexpected instances of firefox running can sometimes be the result of malware activity.
