After pressing HTTP://WWW.ITIS.GOV/SERVLET/SINGLERPT/SINGLERPT?SEARCH_TOPIC=TSN&SEARCH_VALUE=163342-ALT-DELETE, how do I know with certainty which processes in the Task Manager are necessary and which are not? What is Center.exe and is are necessary?

    Hi Chloris,

All of the tabs in the Manager tasks is very important programs required for your computer to run, that's why we recommend you not to process the end of it. Please note that finishing process is a crucial process that could disable some important programs which is necessary for your computer to function normally. If you want to make your computer run faster, you can customize the programs you want to run including required from Microsoft programs. You can do this by performing a clean boot, to do so, kindly check How to perform a boot in Windows 7. However, you can complete the process in the Task Manager Applications tab, programs within this tab are the programs that you are currently using, is that programs that is safe complete the process.

Regarding your question on Center.exeis a process installed on your computer by the manufacturer. It allows devices to run, such as USB Server and Wireless LAN network. It is recommended that do not end its process, for which reason it can cause such devices do not work correctly.

  • Windows Server 2012R2 Task Manager

We have a question about the Task Manager in Windows Server 2012R2.

We have a client running on a Terminal Server, they want to use the Task Manager to kill a task that is not responding.

By default, only the user can see all taks running, also other users.

Is there a way to partially block it? Perhaps in a GPO?

    Hello

There may be no problem that many Services start and stop on request so everything can be normal.

Start - type in the search box-> control of the superior and right click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

Or Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Control Services.

  • How can I reinstall Windows 7 task Manager?

I recently had the opportunity to use the Task Manager feature, but at his inauguration, he only opened the process window, and no other tabs are available. In order to fill what I need to use the process window close even the Task Manager. No other tabs are available, even after several reboots.

Applications, Services, Performance, networking, users. None of these tabs are available, neither is it a line of the File Manager menu. I guess I have to re - install the feature. How can I do this?
    Thank you

  • On 64 - bit suddenly systems Task Manager shows several exe * 32 process. Weird. Why?

I have a laptop running Windows 7 64 - bit OS 8 month old HP. I had problems with the backup program, so I contacted the HP support. They have dirtied remote for a few hours (does not solve the problem). A day later I see that almost all of the entries in the window of the Task Manager process ends by * 32. I have never seen that before and I'm afraid that this expression may refer to 32-bit.

The people of HP CS for IE 32 bits allows you to download a program that they need to try to solve the problem, and I fear that they messed up and have screwed something.

Currently, IE9 will open to a blank screen and freeze so I can't uninstall it.

    Help me.  Thank you.  -Laura

The * 32 process mean that you run the 32-bit process on a 64-bit Windows 7. Windows 7 64 bit can run 32 and 64 transparently bit applications. The denotation also helps differentiate 32 64-bit process.

It is also one of the best confirmation that 64-bit Windows is installed.

You can check it out below:

Click Start, right click on computer

    Click on properties

Look under System Type, it will be 32 or 64-bit operating system.

  • Use of the Task Manager physical memory is not not to use processes

I have seen this topic discussed it before, but I did not understand what is happening here.

-J' have one windows server 2008 with 8 GB or ram configured, with the limit set to unlimited and booking made 8 GB.

-When you look in the Task Manager, I see the physical memory to 88% and the bar bed to 7.10 GB.

-Adding all process memory usage, it is only about 2 GB.

-In another thread, that I read that it was because he had a deadline, and hot air balloon began.

-J' I monitor the server via SNMP and have alerted all the time that this server joined more than 90% ram usage.

-The Guest server is correct use of the physical memory Task Manager?

-If it is not, and is caused by the ESX host, how can I fix it to properly monitor the comment server.

The question here is how windows works,

You reserve memory and don't have no limits, so there is no balloon showing VMs to appear that they have high memory use when they are not actually in some cases.

Processes that Task Manager displays is not all that is running or being eaten, I know when working with SQL, you have FEAR that can use a ton on memory, but there is no process to show.

Best thing to do is to run RAMMAP a sys internals tool that will show you exactly what is using the memory in windows.

  • Windows Task Manager - I clicked on cascade tab windows yesterday.

In the center of support and help that he is told to do a right click on a place empty in the taskbar and choose uncascade. It only gives me the possibility of uncascading. It gives me the possibility in cascade.  I don't know what program or the window that I had opened and selected when I mounted cascade yesterday. If you know how to find this possibility, then maybe it would give me the possibility of uncascade if I launched the same window and selected. Problem is that if its cascading show no open windows on the Task Manager. I want to just uncascade because I use a lot the Task Manager to manage or stop or update programs and I can't do if I don't see the program open the Task Manager window.

    Hi Marne,

First of all, make sure that you logged in with an administrator account. Then change your password to a password strong. Follow the instructions on creating a password on the link below.

Watch user accounts and remove all user that you use no or unknown accounts.

It is better to have a single Antivirus running real-time protection. You can use other analytical tools, but not the multiples at the same time.

If you use wireless for your home computer, I reset it and change the default SSID immediately when the security on your network wireless configuration. Most of the ships with a SSID default and you should modify to prevent hackers to access your network.

Make sure you have a firewall is enabled on your router and your computer.

    Hey Malki,

He run a background process and they need the CPU usage that of normal. Antivirus is running in the background like other tools as well. As far as I know after the installation of recovery the defragmentation tool runs also in the background.

Interesting to know is what problem you have. I mean usually the CPU usage is not important if you can do everything and computer works correctly.

  • Cannot start Explorer from the Task Manager shell, if another program is already specified as shell.

    Hey people.
The company that I work uses Windows XP to run some software owners. Our software is configured to run as nt\currentversion\winlogon\ HKLM\microsoft\windows shell shell. I tried setting the shell two our product and random software like messenger or just the C drive, and every time when you use "run" of the Task Manager to open the explorer.exe shell, my documents will be opened instead of other things.
It will open my documents instead of the shell until I have two close open windows, excluded the Task Manager and set the entrance to Shell back to "Explorer.exe".
This problem persists between the platforms, and I've tried everything I can think of.
    Any help will be great.
