Thank you for the 2 answers when I follow the instuction of Micorsoft support on how to run "chkdsk" element 315265 doesn't he finds so many errors it says "chkdsk cannot continue in read-only mode" and when I try to run "chkdsk volume: / r" to allow repairs its says "the drive, the path or the file name is not valid" I even tried running "chkdsk volume." ': / c ' where 'c' what my hard drive.  Regarding article 310747 it ran but did not fix the problem.  When I turn on my computer, I get the blue screen saying: it is strongly recommended that I have let the scandisk to check the disk for errors, but then he says "scandisk has be cancelled" and contiues to start.

  • Initial backup, Time Capsule will not end.

    I recently started to use my Time Capsule to back up my early 2014 MBA 13 '' again. However the initial backup will never end. The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

    When I started having this problem initially. I erased the disc TC and more fresh and Time Machine, under System Prefs, told me that the backup has been chugging along just great. Well... now, after he had all of August to reach the end of time Machine always shows me "waiting for full first backup."

    If I choose "save now" widget menu bar or if I let the system restart automatically backups TM shows Control Panel "backup x of x, XX, XX" and the second number continues to increase. The backup will never end.

    I searched the Ko of Apple and these discussion forums and not found the answer. What can I do to make this backup finish?

    TIA.

    The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

    And that's probably the problem, because Apple does not officially support backups Time Machine to TB unless you use the wireless TC, or connect the Mac directly on the TC using a wired Ethernet cable connection.

    Things can work with your existing wireless network, but it will be no help if it is not. Sometimes in situations like this, a Mac will back up OK wireless, and another Mac will have problems.

    As you try to add 'new' backups 'old' backup, Time Machine can also have issues with this, try to compare the old and new files and get confused about what to keep and do not keep. In this case, the recommended solution would be to delete older backups of the MBA and then start again and try a new backup.

    Wireless is never recommended for a first full backup. It's OK to use it, then much smaller incremental backups.

    If you try this course the existing wireless you have and still have questions, other than to try to save on the wireless TC, on the only other option to try would be to connect the MBA directly to one of the LAN port <>- on the back of the TC using an Ethernet cable.  Since you have an MBA, who does not have an Ethernet port, you can buy a bolt of lightning for the Ethernet card.  Maid in Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

  • CHKDSK verifying indexes will not end

    When I start my computer, it says it needs check the drive for consistency. If I let him continue to get through files that controlled very well, but when he goes to a check of the index, it is about 12-15% and restarts the computer. I have read and done many things, but nothing has worked. I downloaded a program tonight that I thought was going to solve the problem, but did not. Also I get a screen just before it reboots the computer on which I think would tell me what is wrong, but it of a few flashes on the screen for a few seconds and then restars computer so I don't have enough time to read. Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks for any help.

    Strictly speaking, I would have called it the Windows Recovery Console.

    There are at least two articles of the basis of knowledge about it.  They are:

    KB314058 , a Description of the Windows XP Recovery for advanced users Console, and

    KB307654 , how to install and use the Recovery Console in Windows XP.

    Unfortunately, we usually get the error message: Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD (as described inKB898594 ).

    This happens if your current version of Windows XP has been installed after the installation (which is almost certainly the case) a Service Pack.

    KB900871 , how to integrate Windows XP Service Pack 2 files into the Windows XP installation folder, tell you how to fix this problem.

    Note that KB900871 speak of Service Pack 2 (which is no longer supported).  The same exact procedures to integrate the SP3 installation folder or an installation with Service Pack 3 CD.  The installation folder can be shared and then used on a remote computer to run the command "winnt32.exe cmdcons".  I have integrated SP3 in a 'SlipStream' CD using the Paul Thurott procedure at the:http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp .  I find have SP3 integrated with my handy installation media.

    You can also run your installation CD recovery console.  Start and type 'R' when she suggested to start the Windows Recovery console.

    Once the boots of the Recovery Console, it will prompt you to select the system partition where you start Windows XP.  This is usually C:\Windows.

    You will be prompted for the administrator password.  If you have not set up an administrator password, type .  Otherwise, type the password.  Once you have done this, WRC will continue until you get a command prompt.  The command to run chkdsk is slightly different from Windows XP.  You can type: chkdsk/p :

    WRC is also good for treatment of viruses, Trojans and RootKits, too.

  • X 64 Vista Home Premium CHKDSK does not end. No errors.

    I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit and I get chkdsk runs whenever I start. It runs from stage 1 and complete with 9% of total. Then he will begin to step 2 and 55% of total and the program will stop. However, Windows will continue to start. The problem is that when I try a system restore, it fails and says that there is errors on the disk C: (part of Windows). I tried using F8 repair this computer option and get the same results. I bought and OEM "Vista repair disk" which looks exactly like the F8 option and she also does not terminate and the system reports errors on the restore disc. I tried the "right click on the hard drive" with windows to the top one and error-checking and it will plan a more late and ending. I got a call from the OEM Disk Checker 3.3 of the RS Software Lab disc verification program. I can get it to run and report errors, but I can't seem to fix. It will also schedule chkdsk to run pre-launch who did not finish. What can I do else?

  • Shortcut keyboard Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 - properties will not end

    Dear lovers of Toshiba:

    This week, we have installed three new systems of Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 (two L300-153, a L300-156) with recovery media for Windows XP since the L300-156 product (no date on the disc, only two codes: CD 5 124624 and GMR400841EN0).

    The machines are beautiful and very effective, except for one problem: when the logout or shutdown Windows XP, the program called 'The Toshiba keyboard shortcut properties' does not stop automatically and opens a dialog "end program". The user may terminate the program immediately by clicking on the button 'End now' or wait until it to expire, after which the system disconnects or terminate normally.

    We noticed only after the installation of Service Pack 3 on all machines, so I don't know if the problem was present before SP3 has been applied. (We will be definitely check this on the following system and display the result.) Install the rest updates Windows with Service Pack 3 does not resolve the problem. Not more then that uninstall Toshiba Hotkey Utility by installing the package current, freshly downloaded from the Toshiba support area.

    A colleague suggested disabling startup programs. There are two likely choices for this purpose in the startup list + of + msconfig +: * thotkey * and * TFncKy *. Disabling either of these programs allows the disappearance of problem, but the functions of the * Fn keys are lost. The key functions are also lost when uninstalling the Toshiba Hotkey Utility.

    My question is of two parts:
    # Comment this problem be solved permanently, or circumvented (other than to say the customer never disconnect & close always the cover to hibernate)?
    # If there is no solution yet, how can a bug report situate with Toshiba, so I can get them the information they need to solve this problem and establish the responsibility?
    I will continue to post new information here that I acquire until a permanent solution is reached.

    Although this problem seems trivial and 'cosmetic' it's always awkward having to provide new machines customers with such an obvious flaw. It ourselves and Toshiba look bad, especially after that we sold the idea that people avoid problems of this kind to choose a Windows XP on Vista platform.

    Thank you, Robert Phair
    Director.

    > when the logout or shutdown Windows XP, the program called 'The Toshiba keyboard shortcut properties' does not stop automatically and opens a dialog "end program"...
    > We noticed only after the installation of Service Pack 3 on all machines, so I don't know if the problem was present before SP3 has been applied

    Problems could be caused by Win XP SP3. I've read several times that SP3 could be not entirely compatible with drivers or 3rd tools
    So I guess there is a problem of compatibility between the exe and SP3 files.
    By the way; SP3 is not completely released and updated test!

    I installed SP3 for some tests on my old non-Toshiba laptop and my work LAN card didn't so it of really possible that SP3 causes this.

    > There are two likely choices for this in the msconfig startup list: thotkey and TFncKy. Disabling either of these programs, the disappearance of the problem, but the functions of the Fn keys are lost

    It is clear that the thotkey and TFncKy files belong to applications that control the FN keys, SO if you would disable this in msconfig then buttons would not work.

    So, a solution might be a removal of SP3 System.
    In addition, you should try to clean the registry and operating system using the free tool like CCleaner.

    > Hope to get a response from an engineer from Toshiba, if there is no monitoring of this forum.
    I hope this too, but it seems that this forum is only a user forum.
    So if you want to report this behavior for laptop, contact the Toshiba ASP in your country

  • Callback thread will not end, problem with CNVDisposeData?

    I have a problem with a thread of reminder on a RT system. I work with CVI 8.5 on the pc and the engine Runtime 9.0 on the RT system.

    I use a client-server architecture, the client writes data to a network 1 d variable, the server is informed via a connection to the Subscriber and frees a callback function. My problem is, this callback function is launched in another thread (not the main thread) and is not over. I reduced the problem as much as I could, right now the only thing I do in my callback is to have the CNVdata. The problem occurs when the callback is released, create and destroy the connection to the Subscriber without calling the callback does not lead to any problems.

    The real problem with this, is that when my program ends, there are still threads running on the RT system, which can lead to problems later (I have a multi-day-measure application that crashes always at the same time, so I must really have it clean) to the left.

    I'll try to post a snippet of code to make sure you get what I'm doing (all in the main RT, for simplicity):

    CNVCreateSubscriber (serveurnom, dataCallback, NULL, NULL, 3000, 0, & dataSubscriber);

    While (!.) () RTIsShuttingDown &! error)
    {
    ProcessSystemEvents();
    Sleep (100);
    }

    CNVDispose (dataSubscriber);

    ProcessSystemEvents();

    CloseCVIRTE();

    My point basically looks like this:

    Sub CVICALLBACK dataCallback (void * handle, CNVData data, void * callbackData)
    {
    CNVDisposeData (data);
    }

    When I look at my son when running, I see from the callback thread, when I'm inside, but it's still there afterwards. In addition, what is CNVDisposeData supposed to do? The variable 'data' retains its value even after disposing. I don't see any change at all.

    I would appreciate any comments or ideas, I have tried to solve this problem for a few days and really don't know what else I could try!

    Yes, for the network variables, callbacks are called on a dedicated worker thread. Do not calls to ProcessSystemEvents - network variable reminders will be always called. You must call CNVFinish at the end of RTmain to ensure that the worker thread comes out cleanly. If your variable is hosted (configured) on RT target, then the worker thread can continue to operate even after the call to CNVFinish - I recommend that you host the variable on another machine, said the Windows host.
