I was sitting here with a full battery when I started and now it is dead... and I still don't have FireFox on my ChromeBook.

  What do I do now or how do I get it to work? And if it just simply won't work on a CHromeBook then they need to have that riht out in the open.

  I had a peek in this and was informed that Firefox does not work on Chrome OS.

  It is designed and done a little differently from the likes of Windows and Linux and will not support another browser being installed.

  You can connect to https://www.icloud.com/ on a Chromebook. Security issues are an additional level of security that may be required regardless of the type of computer you are using. Safety requirements for this forum, iCloud.com and other Apple sites are not all the same.

  I just buy a Chromebook, but also have a Windows 7 PC on which I use Thunderbird. I want to be able to use Thunderbird on my Chromebook

  The only development of Thunderbird going on right now is much more limited development on versions of Thunderbird for Win32, Mac OS x 32/64, and Linux 32/64 in output of extended support mode.

  There is no version for any OS Android mobile as there is a mobile version of Firefox for Android 2.2 +.

  No, chromebooks are locked and cann't install you any browser on them other than Chrome.

• Toshiba Chromebook CB30-B-104 - need help battery

  Once again it is the model:

  Toshiba PLM02E-00D003EN CB30-B-104 13 inch notebook Chromebook (Intel Celeron 2.16 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 16 GB SSD, Google Chrome OS) - money (launched in 2015)

  I have problems with the battery, it will reach about 80% to 75% and then suddenly fall to 1% then off shortly after, this started to happen after using it only for 2 or 3 months.

  I google the problem and those who have similar problems is acquitted it completely it turned off, then everything in tension towards the low completely charged until full, until the Green led comes on, I've now done four times and I still have the same result in the battery drops to zero.

  I checked the battery to the terminal, and it is from the battery to: 97.45% which I think is quite normal and healthy?

  I checked also: chrome://power in the browser and I do not understand the graphs, but shortly after the last drop to 1% it has a big tip to the top of the red line.

  My three main issues are global are:

  (1.) I bought this originally July 19, 2015, am I still covered by any kind of warranty if the battery is spent so I can replace?

  2.) is there an alternative to this, I thought to replace the battery, but I can't find anywhere online that sells a battery specific to this model.

  (3.) I will continue this bike? I have the impression that 4 cycles is enough...?

  I can't find a single seller for a Toshiba Chromebook 2 FHD in Germany (model No. PLM02E-00D00EGR)- and I'm looking for for weeks already. Toshiba.de: no help.

  Is this a problem on the supply side, IE. Toshiba is not ship this model at present?

  It is unclear to me how Toshiba to distribute products in different markets, but Toshiba Chromebook is fairly new model, so it is possible that it is not always distributed in dealers.

• 14 - q049: connecting the Chromebook projector

  I would use my Chromebook presentations.  I have an Epson projector, and when I hang them together via HDMI, I get my background pic Chrome planned, but none of my data, no matter what I actually do appear on my Chromebook.

  Is there a key combination or a button I have to warm to send my actual data to the projector?  I can't find mention in any of the manuals.

  For any help or suggestion would be appreciated!

• EPrinter HP Envy 4500 Scan of the computer (HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook) / E-Mail?

  I just bought three HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook & HP Envy 4500 ePrinters for members of the family that I am trying to set up.  (I'm new to cloud computing).  Can I scan documents to PDF at the computer (Chromebook) / E-mail of the printer?  If so, how?  When documents arrive on the computer?  If the scan to e-mail is possible on the devices above, can I store several addresses e-mail ePrint in the printer choose?  Thank you!

  Thanks for shouting it and fast response.    No problem on other issues, it is we are here for.

  1. You will need to manually launch the built-in Web server.  What I've done in the past, it's just mark the ip address of the printer is to click instead of having to manually enter the IP every time. It works best if you set a manual ip address of the printer.  I've included a screenshot.
     1. Click on the "Network" tab in the SAP
     2. Click on 'Network' in the left side menu
     3. Click on 'network address (IP)' in the left side menu
     4. Click 'propose a manual IP address.
     5. Click on "Manual DNS server"
     6. For the server DNS preferred manual please enter 8.8.8.8
     7. For the auxiliary DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.4.4
        
        
  2. There is no way to web analytics by default in pdf format.
  3. The default value corresponds to your "Downloads" folder, but you can switch to "Google Drive".
  4. If you click on the built-in web server Web Services tab, there is an option in the side menu on the left for updates. I've included a screenshot of where to find him.

  I had a problem with my HP Chromebook intermittently keys work only not - y, m, n, etc.  They would work, then not work, and it was very frustrating esp to log in b/c I couldn't get my typed password.

  I thought that I would need a new keyboard, but my ex-husband wonderful thought that we should try to clean and reconnect the keyboard to the motherboard connector.  Assembly of the top panel was removed (after removing the screws of the lower case)...

  He cleaned the keyboard connector with isopropyl alcohol and re-connected the connector and it worked.

  It may not work for everyone, but try this b/f you buy a new keyboard.

  Thank you very much.  The first solution that I asked was very temporary - my chromebook was still under warranty so I was able to send it back.  My husband did the first fix, but don't think that it would take, and he did not.

  Question: Is there a new malware for hp pavillion 14 chromebook this popup so quickly reset cannot be performed?

  Background, my wife click on everything and in the past I have depended on by performing the steps to RESET the computer, settings, advanced, Reset, reset the settings.  It has always worked.  However, this time she got into something unexpected, the popup of malware is immediate and covers the home screen, I can't go to the home screen. The popup covers it and shades out and are not accessible.  There is an X on the screen of malware, but it returns immediately. The screen has a phone number to call and a voice message indicating that he has been infected and to call the number. We didn't call.   Can help some kind reader if there are other options to access Google Chrome reset through 'The Cloud'. Anyone? Thank you.

  According to the document on your Support page, you can run a Powerwash by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R keys at the login screen. Directions at the bottom of the page:

  First known randomly on green screen with purple vertical lines, and half top of my screen is now completely gray. Variations of gray, light gray to a black almost cold.

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.

  The only thing you can do with a Chromebook is to a Powerwash.   This will reset back to the configuration Chrombebook original factory.

  PowerWash: Perform a factory reset on your HP Chromebook or Chromebox (Google Chrome OS)

  If this fails, you will need to send to HP for repair.

• Chromebook 14-q070nr HP: HP Chromebook 14 year, but without the anti-reflective screen?

  I have a HP Chromebook 14-q070nr.  With the display: 14.0-inch diagonal BrightView HD (1366 x 768) LED backlit.  I like the laptop, but it has the problem of real glare on the screen.

  I understand that you have a problem of glare with your screen. Can be a little more specific? Is this a problem of brightness, or more info about reflectivity?

  If it's a matter of brightness, you can try to adjust that. If it's a problem of screen reflectivity, based on where you use, you might consider an anti-glare screen the screen.
