  I'm working on a fairly simple animation to show my new iPhone app from customers. The problem I have is 2 times, first when I use Cineware, the plane of the screen I have a compositing tag external, to create a solid, solid is not up to the traffic.   The compositing tag worked at Ae before I started to animate the phone, so I'm really confused as to why he don't line up! What I am doing wrong? Any help is really appreciated!

  Im having membership of the CC and downloaded AE yesterday with Cinema4d Lite. Unfortunately I can't open Cinema4d and I have not any serialnumbers to contact Maxon support, so what can I do to make my work lite C4d? or can I just he start with AE running in background (which would make no sense at all).

• How do Cinema4D Lite instead of Studio?

  I have a not-so-strange question:

  I have a Studio full of Cinema4D installed on my machine, but also the new after effects CC licensed.

  When I create a new file of C4D from After Effects, it automatically opens Cinema 4 d Studio, which is great.
  But what happens if I want to use the Lite version instead? Why? Because I often work on the equipment of the customer, and they will very soon have the new after effects CC, I'm quite sure it will take me some time to convince them to buy the studio version of $3000 +.

  So, if I want to make this work at home, I prefer to do it using Cinema4D Lite version, because there is just too much differences between Lite and Studio for me to remember.

  I tried to open Cinema4D directly from windows, in the installation path, to

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe after effects CC\Support Files\Plug - ins\MAXON CINEWARE AE\ (Support CINEWARE) \lite

  but without success.

  I am perfectly aware that if I uninstall Studio, I will have access to Lite, but I can't afford just to do it every time.

  The recommended way to make After Effects ignores the Studio edition or on the fly is to rename the folder "Maxon" (in the Pllications or Program FIles directory) where is installed the Studio edition or on the fly. I have rename mine to "ignore_Maxon".

  I have a full licensed version of Cinema4D Studio but AfterEffects CC continues to open Lite Cinema4D.

  My system runs on MacOSX 10.8.4, both C4D and AE are updated the most recent versions. I have not renamed the Maxon folder...

  Is it possible to manually set the connection to Cinema4D Studio?

  Does anyone else have this problem?

  You may need to reinstall Studio or broadcast to get it to be the preferred version. I have a question to my counterpart at Maxon for confirmation.

• External composition IP addressing

  My client has recently implemented TelePresence WebEx with one endpoint SX20.  It works very well on a call to external partners, addresses URI.  However, one of their partners can only be composed by a public IP address.  The call fails to connect on an appeal by the IP address.  This is allowed by the numbering of WebEX-TP for the endpoints registered plan?  I know that the IP address is good because I can compose C20 of my company and my Movi client without problem.

  Apparently, there's a bug with Cineware and AE CC 2014, described here:

  workaround for using after effects 12.2 (CC) doesn't seem to work - I get the same bad results as with CC 2014.

  y at - it no alternative bypass, without having to buy Cinema4D, or what am I looking for something special when you use the plugin?

  the momment, the plugin is quite useless to me as 3d information are just not lining up properly.

  After the last update for After Effects, I get this notice:

  CINEMA 4 d version (16.038) does not record of resources (16.028) version!

  Please reinstall the CINEMA 4 d correctly!

  What happens now after the update early February 2016.

• DESPERATE HELP! MacPro 2014 suddenly fried (?) after inserting the external USB hard drive, help!

  I plugged a new external HD USB (literally out of the box) to my MacPro and suddenly the display went dark, the music stopped. I waited a few minutes and tried to restart. The chime goes off but display remains dark. I think I've tried everything under the Sun (the PRAM, 5 second long hold of the button reset / stop) but nothing helps.

  I deleted all the cables, left it unplugged for a minute, restarted with nothing except the screen and keyboard. Chime passes then nothing.

  Is it possible that the USB fried the mobo? I had the Mac for a while now and never seen anything like this.

• Key words imported, but none of my photos by 11,000 previously marked have tags! Help!

  I just moved all the pictures previously marked in PSE11 to a new computer. I saved the keyword tags to a file and imported into PSE11 on the new computer. All my tags are there but no media displayed. When I click on a tag ex-vacances 2014. Where now are the tags on the photos? Do I have to retag all 11 000 more pictures? I had to save catalog on PES under file before moving to save the tags on the photos?

  Everything is still just need to know how to move my photos with old computer to the new labels using PES 11 on the old computer. I'll not upgrade PES 11.

  I'm not sure after what you did exactly. Here's what I think from your description.

  You do not use the backup / restore process which is needed if you want to move your files and catalogs to a new computer.

  You moved "all photos previously marked... to a new computer.

  I understand that as a copy of your folder tree of images to the other computer (via Explorer or Finder).

  "Previously with the tag' can mean two things:

  -previously marked in the catalogue

  -even more 'writing metadata to files.

  If you do not write metadata in the files on the file menu, the tags are not written in the photo files. They cannot be recovered by a simple "import."

  Exactly how is that did you save the keyword tags? Looks like you used the option copy the description of your hierarchy of categories and keywords in a text file.

  You can restore this description of the hierarchy in a different catalog, no problem, but that restores not no matter what tag attached to a file in the catalog. Imagine that you have a physical storage of the items in a chest of drawers, each drawer has its own label. You can copy the dresser, which does not fill the drawers with the original content.

  The copying and restoration of the hierarchy is useful when you want to 'import' of files in an empty catalog with the description of the hierarchy already copied.

  Your goal is not to 'import', it is to 'restore' tree of catalogue and photo on another computer (or disk).

  Even if you 'writes the metadata to the files', restored the hierarchy of tags and imported your files again, you don't get it all. That will be good for the tags, categories, captions, notes, ratings... but not for the albums, piles and fixed version, which is only stored in the catalog.

  Now, that is all simply copy the catalog folder? You can find its location in the menu help > System Info.

• Tips on creating a composite image! HELP assistants PS :)

  I am a new photographer and certainly again when it comes to photoshop.

  I wanted to create a "composite" image, where I take 3 pictures and merge them into one.

  The problem I have is the shadows that are cast the model cut in each image.

  The other problem is a slight inconsistency in the gray background - colours are not exactly the same.

  Exactly would guys you do if you were in my shoes and wanted to make these 3 images in 1?

  There are several ways to reach the final objective in most situations, but in the end, you will need to decide what your goal is.  Here, I think you need to do 2 things - create a new décor extend the 3 models and false then the shadow.

  What about a different approach to isolate the models, rather than use the quick selection tool, you could create paths or use the magic wand tool... and for the shadows, another approach would be to use the tool of engraving with defined range highlights.

  Although I think these methods would give you less control in editing.
