• Program error Photoshop CS4/CS3 - Mac OS 10.5.7 problem possible?

  Last week I updated my OS 10.5.7 (I'm on a PPC not Intel). When I try to use the text tool in Photoshop CS4 I get an error "Could not complete your request because of a program error."

  -L'App not crushed, but I stop by Force whenever this happens because the continally error box reappears.

  -This is also happening with Photoshop CS3.

  -CS2 does NOT appear to have this problem.

  -I went through everything from the AdobeSupportAdvisor app for a total uninstall/reinstall of CS4 and still have the same problem.

  Everyone knows about this problem?

  I recently noticed something rare when working with Photoshop CS6 under Mac OS X 10.8.x.
  When I tried of course select a layer by the [command + click] (say) shortened, it failed. This little thing was driving me crazy, and I don't know that he must do some people without hair, too.

  Anyway (s), looking at another thread to read-only, I noticed the problem has not been resolved and received pretty lame recommendations. Luckily, I finally found the solution and was able to solve this small inconvenience that maybe we've all experienced. So here's the workaround solution, then maybe you never will consider downgraded to 5.5 again as I was thinking:

  (1) in Photoshop, make sure that the move tool is activated by pressing "V";
  (2) in the submenu of the tool, forget the selection/marking 'automatic selection '. I know that sounds nonsense, believe me;

  (3) Although, sure of 'sex' is selected next to the 'Automatic Selection' button and you should be as I am.

  I hope this can help some people! I would be very happy to know, since I just created this account to help you guys.

  I was wrong! The Cmd key override to always activate the automatic selection. She calls the opposite behavior from the setting.

  If the box is checked, Cmd will disable temporarily Autoselect.

  If the check box is cleared, Cmd will temporarily allow automatic selection.

• I have problems with Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Windows 7 32-bit Professiol.

  When I open an image of the bridge, the photoshop Panel is locked on one side of the screen.  The onle way I can get out of it is CTRL, alt, delete.  The problem persists.  I tried to uninstall Adobe and reinstall with no luck.  I called Adobe and they think that there is a problem with the security system in Windows.  Help, please.

  This could be attributed to several factors such as conflicts between device drivers, applications, settings of operating system, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files.

  Basic troubleshooting
  
  1. make sure that the computer meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop.
  2. install all Windows updates. .
  3 re-create the Photoshop preferences file.

  Re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

  To re-create the Photoshop preferences files:

  1. quit Photoshop.
  2. rename the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp directory Users\ [username] Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old.
  3 launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.
  If the problem persists, the Photoshop preferences files aren't the cause. To restore custom settings, quit Photoshop, and then delete the new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file and restore the original name of the previous Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.

  I just bought the version of Adobe CS4 Design Standard education and had no problem to install everything but Photoshop CS4 (what do I really need)!  It does not appear on the installation menu when I run startup, but it seems to be on the installation DVD in a couple of the .dmg packages. I currently have photshop elements 6 for Mac installed, and I already had installed Photoshop CS4 ext trial with LightRoom 2, but they removed from my system once the trial is over. Why is not install Photoshop CS4 and how can I solve this problem? I have to reinstall trial software and then try and activate serial number? The installation DVD drive is bad?

  I have had a look through the forums here do not seem to have all the same questions.  I have three drives in the package, 1-Applications, content-2 and 3-learning.

  I can see the files for Photoshop .dmg disk 1-Applications, but do not know if I develop they successfully install Photoshop.  I managed to install InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat 9 with the parts with no problem and still about 100 GB of free space on the disk.

  I'm installing on my MacBook Pro, with 250 GB HD and 4 GB of RAM with 512 MB video card.  I previously ran the trial version on the machine with no problems, so I'm assuming that there is no problem with the minimum requirements to run the software.  The only problem I think that could touch it is that I don't have Safari 4 on my machine...

  Probably because of the trial. Run the CS4 Cleanscript then re-install all :-(

  CS4 works on Win 7, but I would be careful to buy an old version of PS, as there are many scams out there, and you're likely to get some software that can not be activated.

• Eraser and Windows Journal lasso to register in the upper left corner of the screen on Wacom Cintiq 21UX

  I try to use Windows 7 Windows Journal with my Wacom Cintiq 21UX (which acts as a second DVI monitor and a USB pen camera).  I can write with the end marker/pen/highlighter (including pressure sensitivity).  But when I switch to the eraser tools or lasso (even if I use the rear part of the pen), my stylus entries are mapped to the wrong place, about 75% of the screen and the 30% of the screen left.  This makes the newspaper on the Cintiq pretty useless.

  Cintiq works fine with all other software, including Windows Paint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc, it seems to be isolated Windows journal.  That's why Wacom claims it's about Microsoft, not Wacom.

  I had the same problem with two screens. I've now solved!

  I disabled the extended screen while the Windows Journal was opened, and the gum and lasso were aligned where it should be. Then I reactivated the extended monitor and two functions worked again very well. Even after a reboot, the functions worked fine!

  If pse8 was a upgrade valid for ps cs4, it should be available in the drop-down list when you start the installation of cs4.

  or, if you are right, you could install pse8 first and then install ps cs4.

  You can install and activate, until, two computers.  So yes, you can install on your new computer to win 10.

  If you have already activated on two, disable (help > deactivate) on your old computer before uninstalling it on your old computer.

  I was perfectly happy with my old Nikon D300, and with a greater camera PS CS4 works very well for me.

  Upgrade to the new camera also implies the upgrade to the new software, which is a big step for me, so I was fine with what I have... Until I upgraded to a 4K screen!

  Most of things automatically set W10, and everything seems very clear. But menus PS If tiny, I can't get them. The anti-roll bar menus looks right, but to find the right one, it takes a magnifying glass?

  I have red that the latest versions of the PS obtained a framework for the icons of 200%. But what of us with older versions?

  I was googling around and found all kinds of patches involving the Registry hacks in windows, add scripts in the folder of the PS and much more... Really?

  I've tried a few, but on my PC and the software version, it didn't work, so I'm stuck with a useless Photoshop CS4?

  A little update for older versions of Adobe would be much appreciated.

  And NO, I don't want to upgrade to a new PS one, I came, I paid for in its entirety. And it would be a shame if an upgrade would be the limit for Photoshop.

  If you don't find the solution, I just got my CS4 to work on 10 to WIN with display 4 k. CS6 manifest file does not work on CS4 because of the .dll error... It's the perfect solution - third party link. But this manifesto has worked perfectly.

  Laurence, CS 4 and elements are now end of life, we have limited resources for them. They have never been tested in 10 to win, that's why you may find some compatibility issues.
