• PIX 515 and software version 6.3 (4)

  We have a PIX 515 (not 515E). Currently, we are running software version 6.2 (2). I was wondering if we can improve the software to version 6.3 (3) or 6.3 (4), or do we need to replace the hardware with PIX 515E?

  Also what should I do on my current PDM version 2.0 (2) if it is possible to upgrade the PIX to a 6.3 version?

  You can run on the Pix515 6.34. It takes at least 16 MB of flash and 32 MB of RAM.

  If you use PDM, you will need to be updated also.

  We have several sites that use of GRE Tunnels with card crypto for encryption.  To upgrade to the latest version of a UC-520 (15.1 (2) T4 or any version of this train) I get the following error: -.

  Currently, only one card encryption GDOI is supported on the tunnel interface.

  The original Tunnel config is below:-

  Decommissioning of the IOS version solves the problem.   What gives?  Have Cisco dropped support for this configuration?

  It looks like from the 15.1 this configuration is no longer supported. Here's what the release notes:

  Error message appears when you try to apply the tunnel interface to a card encryption.

  Old behavior: Error Message is not displayed when you try to apply tunnel interface card encryption using the command card crypto (interface IPSec).

  New behavior: an error message appears when you try to apply the tunnel interface to a crypto map using the

  crypto map command (interface IPSec).

  The order reference has the following information about the error message:

  

  A card encryption cannot be applied to a tunnel interface. If you try to apply the tunnel interface to a card encryption, an error message is displayed as follows: crypto card is configured on the tunnel interface. Currently, only card crypto Group domain of interpretation (GDOI) is supported on the tunnel interface.

  So it seems that on the new version, you can only use one (new to me) maps crypto GDOI on your tunnel interfaces.

• Cisco Pix 515 VPN problems

  Here's my problem, I have 2 PIX 515 firewall...

  I'm trying to implement a VPN site-to site between 2 of our websites...

  Two of these firewalls currently run another site to site VPN so I know who works...

  I can't do the second site to the site to launch the VPN... when looking on the syslogs I get refused packages...

  Protected networks are:

  172.16.48.0/24 and 172.16.4.0/22

  If I try to ping from the Cisco (172.16.48.4) to 172.16.4.5, I get the following syslog:

  2 sep 02 2008 08:59:47 106001 172.16.48.4 172.16.4.5 incoming TCP connection doesn't deny from 172.16.48.4/1231 to 172.16.4.5/135 SYN flags on the interface inside

  It seems that the tunnel is trying to initiate, but something is blocking the internal traffic to penetrate through the VPN.

  Don't know what that might be, the other VPN are working properly.

  Any help would be great...

• On Vista x 64 German language pack fails with code 2 - proposed patch does not install

  I tried to install on Vista Ultimate x 64 German language pack, but it failed with error code 2. The KB942903 hotfix for x 64 (also tried x 86) does not install with the message "this update does not apply to your system.

  I rebooted several times and tried to erase the directory SoftwareDistribution\downloads, no change.

  The log file is not really favourable, weird things only I see is:

  1. What is the service pack installed on the computer?

  This problem occurs if a previous Windows Update process did not cause the computer to be in a corrupted state. This prevents the installation of any language pack.

  I suggest that you reset the Windows Update components and you try to install the pack of language, to check if it works.

• PIX 515 with several interfaces see each other

  I realize that this question has been asked in different ways, but I have yet to see my way. My problem is we have a pix515e with 6 interfaces, all interfaces can go out to the outside world very well, but they can not cross to the other. We do not have any router behind them, we 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.1.1, etc. as interface id how to see the other side of the other I need 2 interface see interface servers and even inside. Also how can I get ip addresses translate. for example we have a mail server on the inside interface with 10.0.0.60 translated in X.X.X.60 on the external interface if the outside world can see. Computers of the interface 2 see this machine as X.X.X.X.60 not the fact that it is on the interface right next to her, and therefore can not find. Inside machines translated at 10.0.0.60 address please help. and I hope that this can be done without routers behind the pix.

  I had itunes installed on my laptop but have recently purchased an ipod touch which requires version 9 - but when I tried to install the new version I get the following message

  I posted this on apple support and a very helpful gentleman has led me to my updates that fail with the error code 643...

  He was advised to do a scan Avast which I did and discovered the following

  SeekmoSAHook.dll
  SRV.exe
  ToolBar.dll

  These files are on my drive C under Program Files and changed on 26/11/2007. The virus is the same on each of them:

  I intalled a program of removal of malicious software that has removed these files, rebooted and tried to download itunes again, but got the same message.

  I tried to re - install the updates failed this morning and this is the error I got

HRESULT: 0X8007054F I tried to download the following: Security for microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 SP2 KB936181 update I'm running out of ideas and would really help - I'm travelling in a few weeks so buy the ipod touch and I want to just put the music until I leave.   Restart, and then rerun the program again to install it.

• Error - edition iOS requires files that are not installed

  Some people reported this error when using Flash Builder, but I use Flash Pro CS5.5 on a PC with Windows XP. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash Pro and Flash Builder, but it did not solve my problem. I was able to publish the same FLA files about a month ago and did a test of my app on an iPad. I made a small change to the size of a slider. This error occurred when I tried to republish.

  I don't know which files are missing, but I'm guessing it's something to do with the installation of AIR for iOS. After you have reinstalled my Flash CS5.5 record includes a subfolder AIR2.6 but not AIR2.7. Any help would be appreciated. Support cat Adobe says that I need to call their experts!

  As a person not offered alternatives, I uninstalled and reinstalled Web Premium CS5.5 even today. To my surprise, it worked and I was able to create an IPA on my Win XP system.

  Maybe uninstall all helped. On my previous two attempts I just uninstalled Flash Pro, Flash Builder and AIR because a complete reinstall takes more than 3 hours. Also, I ran Adobe Updater and it updated Flash Pro, Flash Builder and IOS, and everything still looks OK. The answer is to uninstall and reinstall and if this does not work the first time - try again!  MB

  As the game is not also installed in the Compatibility Center, you can try to run the game in compatibility mode. Steps to follow:

  i. right click on the game (on the .exe file)

  II. click on properties

  III. click on the Compatibility tab

  IV. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select windows vista
