Classic support classic blackBerry

I am a user of UK after buying a new classic to replace a Bold 9900.

Have a BBID, but can not access my BB email address to confirm.

Cannot configure e-mail / transfer contacts until I confirmed BBID!

Tried ringing UK BB free 30 days helpline - when I "press 2" the instructions it does not.

Any suggestions welcome that cannot access the contacts, appointment - crisis!

What email address you use for your BBID? If it's an address @carrier.blackberry.net then you should not use this email address for a BBID, especially for BB10 since BB10 does not support this e-mail account.

Can you connect to www.bbid.com and change the email address associated with your BBID?

  • Is there a Firefox application available for the classic Blackberry 2015 model?

The BackBerry operating system is like 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Tablet OS older for PlayBook is based on QNX. Once long ago, you could build Firefox for QNX, but support for QNX has long been removed from the Mozilla source tree.

There has been no development of Mozilla mobile browser for any material or BlackBerry OS.

Mozilla Firefox has for mobile desktop Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android 2.3 +. There is also the "BONE of Firefox" used on say that some budget phones and some new Tv's Panasonic. They have also recently started with a shell for iOS 8.2 Firefox browser +.

  • Classic BlackBerry is unable to get a new version of the app

    Hello!

The current version of Navitel Navigator app (https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/33343371/?lang=en&countrycode=RU) in AppWorld is 9.6.486 and Blackberry Classic is marked as device supported. But when I'm looking for this app on my classic BlackBerry (in AppWorld application), I see that 9.2.0.4 only version is available. I send email to the developer of this application and I got the answer, that there is problem of BlackBerry App World. So... How can I get the latest version on my device?

    Hi @sneer

I suspect that the developer has another version of the device application according to BB10 you use, for example on my jump I shows me 9.5.30.0

That being the case, when you contact the developer I would ask them to check what version of their app, they have 'activated' for each device BB10 and mention the different versions being shown in this thread based on device type.

My suspicion is a device with the version 9.6, but other devices were not activated with the version 9.6.

    I hope this helps

  • Classic BlackBerry BB classic: can not load completely while the power is on

    Madam/Sir,

I just bought a classic BlackBerry Q20. My problems are:

    1. I can't fully charge the unit while it is on. If it is enabled, the battery power stops at 60%, no other.

    2. If I load normal when the unit is off, Yes, it will charge up to 100% with green led. However, when I turn on the device, it will start exactly in factory setting. All data, applications and updates are missing.

My question: what should I do? I downloaded the link BlackBerry and BlackBerry mixture, in their latest version. I also supported the unit entirely. But when this happens, and when I tried to restore the device with the last backup, the message is that my device is having a different setting with which stores the link of BlackBerry.

    Kindly help.

Since it is Cobalt, you should like I said earlier... ask there. Cobalt is a very informal methodology, not supported or sanctioned by BB, and so here the discussion on it should remain very limited (for example, we can refer people more to CB for advice and instructions, but that's all).

    Good luck!

  • How can classic BlackBerry locked out device, I contact BlackBerry?

I recently picked up classic BlackBerry my sister, but she left her theft protection, apparently you forgot his password and then remove his BlackBerry ID thought that would solve the problem (of course it doesn't have). After doing a factory reset, it has become obvious that the device will not work without unlocking the theft protection, but this is impossible because his BlackBerry ID no longer exists. I called the store where she bought the classic BlackBerry and their response has been contact BlackBerry to reactivate the account.

This seems simple enough, but in fact proved to be somewhat problematic. On the site Web of BlackBerry I get constantly referred to in the Belgian part of the site that does not exist. How can this even happen for a company of this size? For example: by clicking on the official "BlackBerry Support" link at the top of the page takes me to http://be.blackberry.com/support.html, which is just an error 404 and nothing else.

I contacted (and followed) BlackBerryHelp on Twitter and sent a DM, but after about 30 hours without response I'm getting a little impatient and also fear they will just refer me to another place.

Someone at - it experience with the account of aid and their response time? Is there another way to communicate with BlackBerry on this problem? My last resort is the call the phone number, but I would avoid that, given that the only options in Belgium are French/English and explain a problem over the phone is already quite annoying in my native language (in Dutch).

I have the original purchase at hand confirmation and you can get any other required documents, then this isn't a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are a little technical, you can get your camera upward and functional by loading an old device software (which removes the protection against theft) and then load the latest version of the software again. Here are the steps:

  • Classic BlackBerry very basic (?) stupid question

I don't yet have a classic BlackBerry and I understand that it works with GSM, and that neither AT & T nor Verizon carriers nor any other major carrier supports again.  So if I buy a classic BlackBerry now, it means that I already have a cell phone to work with a carrier such as AT & T MOBILE and I need to get the SIM card to connect to the BlackBerry?  And I expect that it works?  Thank you.

BlackBerry works in all the usual is GSM, 3G and LTE networks. All you need is a the operator's standard data plan you.

  • BlackBerry App investigating the classic BlackBerry, T-Mobile and the WiFi calling app

I am looking for on this forum after being (possibly) achieved through BlackBerry World (located here, so you can make reference to what I'm going to talk: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/35524900 ) this app is marked as 'BlackBerry Lmtd' being the developer, that's why it is implicit that BlackBerry updates to this app and is responsible for its support. I am at this point, after trying (for weeks) to find how this whole process of WiFi calling went down, I was told by T-Mobile at the level executive response that BlackBerry was next to insider support. In its current form the above application currently supports only prior 2 BB10 peripheral T-Mobile, the Q10 and Z10. Despite the classic hit the shelves of T-Mobile, despite the fact that T-Mobile as well as the TWO classic BlackBerry supports WiFi called, it seems to come down to this app gets an update. I write here wondering if there is information about the status of this application as well as the support with regard to devices. Will be it be updated to include the classic? Is this a known issue? Is this really T-Mobile app? Just anything, any kind of transparency or tiny tidbit of information be always so would appreciate! If anyone has information or can better direct me on where to take my survey, I am more than happy to wait for your answers! Thank you for your time.

That's the beauty of this site... we do not work for carriers, nor for the BB. So, we can be truly independent and share more that they would be allowed to share. But, keep in mind that everything we know is therefore not official (unless it is a public site, such as the database of BB KB). We are sure that we are right on these points, but being not "in it", we can't know with 100% certainty.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • From iPhone to Blackberry classic classic BlackBerry? My experience.

I've been on Mac and iPhone for years.  I got a classic in August 15.  Here is some information for anyone who is planning to escape from the garden of Apple.  Don't forget - I have a Mac - Yosemite10.10.5.  I use for 3G iPhones.

If you have a Mac there are very little useful Office support.  BlackBerry link works, but can not connect and synchronize music, photos or videos on your Mac.  There is no synchronization Mac calendar and contacts via Blackberry connected via USB link (a USP for me - I don't like my stuff in the cloud).  When I called help BB that they it has blamed on Apple and say that they have no intention to get link BB works with Mac. It is shameful that the BB site is still claiming that Mac users can sync calendars, contacts, music, photos and videos using the BB link.  That's all just a lie.  If the music, photos and video synch is important to you, then you are shagged.  BB link is useful only for backup and restoration of your BB classic.

Calendar and contacts must be synchronized via iCloud - that works well.  Except BB Cal don't pull in iCloud anniversaries and BB Cal pull in Contacts birthdays.   If you have spent important birthdays putting time in Contacts then you wasted it BB are concerned.

Despite the hype, I think BB mix is pretty useless.  If you write a lot of text (I have not), then the ability to write using your Mac keyboard might be useful.  All my mail is IMAP, so it is already on my Mac and I need to see it on my BB at the same time.  The thing is useful that could be so alert were mixed (for example, to open the app Footy results and get alerts on my desktop, now that the sky Flash application is dead) - but the mixture of BB alerts do not work on the desktop - same thought there is a checkbox to enable them.

Theoretically, the mixture is useful for copying stuff between Mac and BB classic.  Link cannot sync things, but the mix allows you to transfer files between Mac and BB classic - a SINGLE FILE at a TIME.  You cannot drag and drop directories.  So if you have 20 GB of music - say 5000 songs in 300 directories - you will need to create the directories on the BB one by one and drag the music files on one at a time.  Apparently, no member of BB thinks that this is not a stupid feature.

To transfer (not synch) files, you can configure the classic BB in USB mode and, sometimes, it appears in the Finder when it is plugged in via USB and you can drag and drop to BB or SD memory.  The classic BB to appear in the Finder is fairly random and, frankly, a PITA.  There is no correlation between the BB being in USB mode or not and if she appears in the Finder — and I gave up with it.   I just remove the memory card, put in a converter and put it in the Mac.  The downside is you have to before BB classic feeding cycle he will probably see the new files (this is slooooow) and then the apps (podcast app, music app, etc.) will be another age to read all data.

Apps?  The most frustrating is that productivity applications and businesses are very thin on the ground for a device traditionally intended for professional users - both BB and Amazon store.  I am an entrepreneur.  I do not play games or do ny social networking stuff.  Apps that I used every day on iPhone are the map time, expense reports, ToDo.   On iPhone, I used HT Pro, iExpensit, Appigo ToDo, Notes on Mac - and I have used them happily for years.  There are no apps for BB approaching these in terms of usefulness.  I've got MyTimesheet classic (not bad - but buggy and dev. ignores emails), Manager of charges (banking something I have to jerk off in Excel for expenses, I can add to bills), ToodleTasks (OK - but no subtasks without subscription) and BB via Evernote notes (OK - but he refuses to sync on a regular basis and the account must be deleted and recreated and re-synchronized every day).  The lack of business utility/productivity applications surprises me.

Other applications that I used a lot (at least once a week) on the iphone-
TripIt - not available for classic BB.  BB trip is sort of OK, but there is sod-all useful calendar integration.
Search results for SkySports Footy and Cricket;  There is nothing that comes close to that I found for BB. I use FotMob but it's flaky.
Podcasts - I never thought that I would have good things to say about the iPhone for the podcast, which has got to be the PoS greatest that Apple have ever produced, but it's a miracle bloody compared to the best of BB - I think that this is bPod - but I listen to podcasts much less now I have the classic BB I did on the iPhone.  It's so hard to manage.
MetOffice weather - not available for classic BB.
AeroWeather - not available for classic BB.
    FlightRadar 24 - NAFBBC.
    eBay - NAFBBC application.
    Amazon App - NAFBBC (!)
    Album Shuffle - NAFBBC
All four of my banking applications - NAFBBC
WiFi BT and Cloud Fastconnect profiles for automatic connection - NAFBBC.  It is a real pain.  The iPhone is just used to connect - good wifi roaming. The BB has to go through the log of the web page every time.

In addition, many apps install without options for privacy and access.  Most BB applications allow you to choose whether to share contacts, location, etc.  If you load via Amazon App Store and many of them give you the same option with Android - i.e. accept any invasion of privacy or do not install the application.

Battery life is looking pretty * beep * for the moment.  I charge it all night and it turns in the economy of the battery in about 1800 - but I've spent a lot of time looking for applications and try to make things work.  If all goes well he will settle after a bit, but it does much better than the iPhone 6.

Of course, I could have to research a bit more before I bought it - and it was a bit of a bargain.  The keyboard is great.  I think that it is more productive than the iPhone to take care of things on the road.  It is much more robust and portable in the pockets of jeans than the iPhone 6.  It has a nice heft.  He got a memory card.  I love the hub.  It's more like a phone than the iPhone (but all also deaf).  It fits in my jacket pocket.  Apart from that, I fight to find something nice to say about it.  I'll give it a go a little longer, but I think after Christmas (or when I've missed someone important birthday!)  I'll be back in the garden of the Apple, the BB will have my SIM of emergency inside and will collide on in the glove compartment in case where...

I have 4 email accounts.   I've got Android applications.  No NFC - not supported by one of my banks.  WiFi on.  No 4g. Bluetooth that on when I need.

Thanks for the tips on reboot, but the classic went to the trash.  Tomorrow I'll be back with my iPhone 6.  I'll be able to sync my music and podcasts again - and I'll be able to hear when I play (the classic volume is too low).  I'll have regained access to my bank accounts and credit cards.   I'll be able to make my expenses and timesheets and sync with my Mac Notes again. I'll be able to back up the phone again.   I won't have to carry the card paper, a notebook and pen and an iPod and a calculator.  And a backup phone.   It will be like putting in the 21st century.

  • Classic BlackBerry Verizon Wireless with the new classic of B.

I am a Verizon Wireless customer for more than 25 years. Also, I'm a Blackberry user for the same time.  I've been dying to get new Balckberry classic, however, told me that Verizon does not her due to a type of different network transmission or something like that. This, it is not compatible with their network.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that. My question is, ' you'll never make a b. classic that will be compatible with Verizon's network.  If so, when will it be available?

    Please notify earlier.

    Thank you.

  • Classic classic BlackBerry without access to mobile network

    Hi all

I recently traveled abroad and disabled the mobile network on my classic Blackberry. After returning last night, I found I could not turn it on and get cellular service (after clicking on the Mobile network, it keeps saying "put out cellular services" and not to others). Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you so mucy Sdgardne. Very grateful can get support from the community so quickly!

Have you tried the instruction, but the phone still does not work. Went to the Virgin store and replaced a SIM by their request. The phone works now and the problem most likely came from the SIM card (the said store that happens frequently due at the rate of unknow guys).

  • Classic BlackBerry can 10.3.1.1581 be reinstalled on classic BB?

    Hi all

My boss bought a unlocked configure classic BlackBerry a few weeks and I'm all for it. Then someone else decided to 'help' and made a mess of it, he even made a security wipe.

The problem, she now is that mixture does not connect to the device (I don't think no more link connects, not confirmed however). At first I thought it might be related to office network/firewall (network has been installing the same support that swept the phone) so I tried to connect to my passport with their copy of mix and it worked fine.

The 'helper' has zero patience and I wonder if he could have bothered with an update of the OS that might have caused these problems.

Is there anyway to force the phone to reinstall the current operating system (10.3.1.1581)? I hope that a reinstall will straighten things.

    Thank you!

Looks like it's what you want... http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB34045

  • Security SIM screen classic blackBerry and autonomy

I love my classic Blackberry. But there is a problem. In my pocket the phone sometimes ends with the screen asking me to enter the SIM Pin code. The phone is usually leather Holster. The problem is, whenever I wear around the phone in my pocket, without recognizing that it is in this State "SIM-security screen", the phone consumes a lot of battery. In this State, the battery lasts just four hours.

Out of the case I was not able to reproduce the problem. I tried to do by pressing the keys at random.

Is there any configuration, I can do to avoid this?

    Best regards

  • BlackBerry App Viber unavailable for classic Blackberry?

I just upgraded my BlackBerry "BOLD" in the classic Blackberry and went to install the apps I often use & discovered Viber isn't available for BB... any thoughts we if it will come back?  Or other applications that have a similar operation?

I went through anxiety even when I first upgraded, but don't be afraid. In order to get a lot of these applications, that you expect to be available, you need to sideload "SNAP" (search for instructions on how to get the snap) which is an application that will give you access game store of google at the bottom of the support Android applications that will be run on your new classic. I was about to pack up and return my Classic when I thought that viber and uber and online app were not available because the BB world and shop Amazon store do not list these applications. It takes about 10 minutes start to finish to get app loaded Snap and you'll be good to go. I was able to get Viber, Uber, line and a host of other applications that I used to have on my "BOLD".
