Clean install them, but issues
HP G62 Nootbook/laptop, it is black with metal is based close to the screen
So I erased from my hard drive (original Windows 7 home premium 64-bit OS) and did a clean install of windows 7 Edition home premium 64-bit, but when I started again and went on my new install of windows 7, the resouloution is inconsistent to the top of its in 1024 x 768 or something but it should be in 1366 x 768 he says all im using an adapter video when im not and to top that, out of the wireless card does not work.
Please don't tell me to buy recovery disk that I don't want to spend more money on fixing my laptop
I think that I need drivers for my video card to solve the problem of resouloution and drivers for my wireless card to fix that
Please help me ive been trying to solve this problem for weeks and I have spent a lot of money to do
Hello:
There are many models G62, so my recommendation is to return the laptop and enter the product number located on the sticker and serial number in the appropriate box on the link below.
Which will redirect you to the page support and pilot, where you will find all the drivers for your laptop.
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHome?lc=en&DLC=en&cc=us&OS=228&sw_lang=&product=top
There may be more than one model of your laptop wireless card.
To find the right driver you need to do this, thanks for posting the the hardware ID for the network controller listed in the other devices category in Device Manager.
Then I'll post the link for the driver, you need to do this.
If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please read the info on the link below.

How to install themes for windows Vista?
I tried several times to install themes, but nothing happens. I went to help and support and all he said was to open the theme file. But did not work. Any advise?
If you talk to install themes not included with Vista, there is a special procedure for this:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-to-patch-windows-vista-to-enable-custom-themes-visual-styles/. It is a little advanced, but if you follow the steps one at a time and take your time to do, you can get there. Then you should be able to install and use new themes.
If you mean simply by changing the themes that are already installed, here's a tutorial on this process:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/87194-theme-settings.html.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Need to do a clean install of Vista - have several issues
PA bear MS MVP suggested I do a clean install of Vista. I need a hand-holding.
The first questions are about the instructions contained in this site:
HOW to do a clean install of Vista: see the "to install Windows by performing a clean install" (or "reinstall Windows Vista") http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-Vista article
ISSUES;
1. the site says have my Windows installation disc (CD or DVD). I don't have the installation disc, but I made the recovery discs. Can I use them instead?
2. it is also said to disable all antivirus software before you install Windows. I have installed Microsoft Security Essentials. How can I disable it?
3. to the question "where do you want to install Windows?" choose which partition?
Thank you in advance,
YT2252
Hello.
1. you can use the recovery disks you did to reinstall Vista. It's what they are for.
To reinstall Vista using recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
2 as you do a new installation the hard disk will be wiped clean of the everyting: files, MSE, everything.
Therefore, there is not need to disable the MSE.
3. the recovery disks must select the disc / Partition and install Vista updates.
If not. Select the c: / partition.
See you soon.

Pro Clean install XP with SP3 but the registry indicates SP4?
I did a clean install with the i386 out of my original image. It came with SP3 integrated. Trying to install the drivers, I noticed registry service pack back to SP4 not SP3, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP4. I have not found any performance issues, but is that what I should be concerned with, and if so, how could remedy?

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista
I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.
I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.
I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.
I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.
In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.
Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

original title: operating systemMy old laptop has ceased to exist. How can I get permission to install operating system on a new PC? I provided with the old laptop installation discs, but permission to install them on the new PC is denied.
If the installation provided with your Windows computer discs was preinstalled on the computer - it is OEM and cannot be moved. You can move Windows to another computer if you buy the retail version.
You can move the windows on a new computer
If it's a full license or upgrade retail - Yes. You can move it to another computer as long as it is installed on one computer at a time (and if it's a version upgrade the new Windows computer must have its own license of qualification). The previous Windows installation on your old computer must be formatted or deleted. You will have to perhaps call Microsoft and explain what happened to complete activation. Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer.
If it's an OEM license - don't. OEM licenses, including Windows preinstalled on a computer before purchase and Windows purchased separately, are related to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer. To install Windows on another computer, you will need to buy another copy.
