Cleaning database

Hello

11.2.0.1

I have a lot of expired and users locked in our database of prod.

Is it OK if I drop all the? Will my database bug not down?

The list has expired and blocked users:

Once again

Many of these users implement Oracle supplied features and have the documented uninstall procedures.

So "just drop it" for sure will create havoc.

Accordingly, I YOU will be PUSHED (and rightly so) and all too incompetent "security officers", focusing on the irrelevant details, will remain.

He done wrong, that these accounts are NOT deleted? No, they will just stay there.

Do you know what effect deleting the account XDB will have? (Answer: you will not be able to use XML in your database)

Do you know what effect deleting the account DBSNMP will have? (Answer: you can not longer use the database control)

Also, when you upgrade your database of 11.2.0.3 (that you should have done a long time ago), these accounts likely will be re-installed, as the Group of hotfixes is now the full product.

You are a real s/n, or you are just a rookie who knows enough to be dangerous and refuses to read the documentation?

    Hi all!

I need help.  I'm trying to make a backup of my "BOLD", but when the procedure happens to Options cleaner memory, the process stops and I get the error "Error backup database".

All the ideas from the pros?

    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Cleaner memory in my opinion is misnamed and abusively.

The cleaner memory formats a Government on the memory wipe. He won't

improve or move memory back and more quickly to the BB. Therefore, I completely

stopped using it and it was not in my last update.

Try to turn the option off, battery pull, then run a backup.

IF it doesn't go away, I'll be back with right clear procedure of database.

    Thank you

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  • Purge the Cache vs & clean database

What it the difference between purge all Edit menu and database clean & Cache media & Cache disk Prefereces window?  When should I use each?

Also a bug in AE CS4.  Cancle button in cleaning Max Media database window pops - up does not work.  It is always grayed out.

    AE CS4 on Mac

    Thank you in advance

They have nothing to do with the other.

Purge commands clears RAM and short-term disk cache.

The media cache database release and the media cache itself has to do with the storage of large files on disk long term.

Purge RAM is described in the help of After Effects here.

The media cache and its controls are described in the help of After Effects here.

  • Export and when artifacts linked dynamically in the body

I upgraded to CC 2015.3 today, to have a client in need of a review on a project from an earlier version.  The project has a couple of morph cuts that will offer a Premiere Pro 2015.3 NOT export (seems to be a bug many others ran to more).  On those, I gave up.  There are also several dynamically linked AE compositions.  I opened these comps in AE to make sure that they have been updated with the current AE and they seem to play fine.  However, when I made the video in Premiere Pro or AE I constantly get horizontal artifacts that appear randomly directly in AE and in the dynamically linked comps in Premiere Pro.  They do not appear in previews but are certainly there during rendering.

Any ideas on what I should try? A screenshot of a video rendering is attached.  There was a logo in the center that I removed after the fact (because it's a discreet customer at the moment).

    Thank you

    lines.JPG

I just got a successful rendering after that I did the "empty disk Cache..." ' and ' clean database and Cache "in the AE preferences.  Not sure if that was the cause or if she is totally independent.  Fingers crossed it continues to work tomorrow also.

  • I need help cached media!

Thus, unbeknownst to me before that I imported as 1000 songs, cache would completely fill my hard drive.  I looked at how to remove it and I moved in error where it should be instead of delete first.  I have about 50 GB, which was taken over and I continue to delete things on my computer just to be able to turn on and off.  Where is the default patch for cache files and how to get back this space?   I already deleted all the music so I can re-import once location is set correctly.  Thank you!

The default location for media Cache files and the media Cache database files are:

    PC => C:\Users\(your username) \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\

    Mac => / /Users/(your username)/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Common /.

These should generally be deleted manually as the preferences > Media: clean database button only for a source film that is no longer available

If you always wrong to locate, then you can reset the preferences (note that it's all preferences - can - be synchronize them with first CC) by launching the first with the Alt/Option key owned up to the start screen.

Then visit the preferences/Media and you can navigate to the default locations.   Reminder if this will reset all THE preferences.  I hope that you can re - synchronize your CC

  • Lack of Configuration section in VAMI, vCenter active watch is not Accessible after upgrade from 5.5 to 5.8

Hi all!  I'm having a bit of a problem that I can't find a solution for anywhere.

I have a lab with two boxes of vcsa under 5.5 U2d, and wanted to move to 5.8 SRM.  I started the VRA 5.5.1 (I do not remember, real version number which was with MRS 5.5.1), mount the ISO 5.8 on both sides, restarted both, took the update of the CD (following the official update steps), but after the restart, the two vCenters show "enabled (not available)" and still list it as 5.5.1.

I have validated the RV service is running.  I have been following this thread, regenerated certificates for the TWO vCenters & TWO VRAs: vsphere upgrade from 5.5 to 5.8 Server replication enabled (not accessible) has yet no joy.

I checked the CROWD and the IP address is correct.  I tried to check /opt/vmware/hms/conf/extension.xml for the thumbprint and the file does not exist on each box, the only thing it is extension - template.xml.

On the one hand, I have reset the vCenter database (/ usr/sbin/vpxd - d of VMware KB: reset the vCenter Server repository embedded for vCenter Server Appliance 5.x ), deployed a new VRA 5.8, and he had to register very well.  It's then it dawned on me what missed me: almost all the Startup Configuration where you specify the vCenter (see attachment)

For grins, I recorded the VRA 5.8 of the 'old' vcsa work and tried to save it to the 'new' vcsa, which he could not with a lot of what looked like errors, assuming that because of 'new' vcsa already having a recorded SOAP VRA.  I re-recorded it back to the 'old' vcsa and is happy.  Installed SRM 5.8 (uninstalled 5.5 because I started with a clean database in the vcsa) and all is well on the side of the 'old '.

I'm trying not to go this route on the 'new' side, as I a VDS, vSAN and twice as many hosts, so I won't recreate the vDC, cluster, add guests, etc.  I copied to /opt/vmware/hms/conf/extension-template.xml /opt/vmware/hms/conf/extension.xml and restarted.  Footprint arises, but still no configuration tips.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. You said that the VRA is on a cluster, East of thatcluster HA-enabled? Because where HA must restart the VRA on another host, it does so through the ESX host and this could have emptied the OVF environment. And to even you'll always a working configuration until you start the upgrade or you try to perform any operation through VAMI configuration page. To be on the safe side, I think before upgrade, you can power off and then turn the unit on (simple restart is not enough) to make sure that the EPS of the FVO is recreated.

  • VCDB location

So I have a problem completely stupid, I had to rebuild my VC earlier and decided to give it a clean database, but the old database to the left upwards while I transferred all hosts and others on the new server.  Then, I forgot to remove the old database, so now I have a VCDB and a VCDB4, but I don't know exactly who is used by my current server.

I tried to look at the access to the databases, but it seems that the tasks are still ongoing on two of them.  Y at - it an easy way to watch the odbc connection or a setting to see what database tip?

    Thank you

    A lot of ideas...

  • After Effects CS6: Cache and reload the film problem

After Effects CS6: Cache and reload the film problem

I have trouble to get my images to be updated in an AE project.

In an existing project, there is a sequence of images in a publication.  I saved and closed AE, modified images (same size and quantity of images, only the pixel data changes) and then restarted AE and open the project.  Although I've changed the images, the old content still appears.

To resolve this problem, I did the following:

Edition > purge > all memory

Edition > purge > picture Cache memory

Edit > Preferences > media & Disk Cache > clear Disk Cache

Edit > Preferences > media & Disk Cache > clean database & Cache

In the project window, I selected all the sequences and selected Reload

None of them got the images to update.  I could click the film twice in the project bin and scrub the playhead and the old footage was still displayed.

Finally, I had to replace the film with himself and that solved the problem.

If it is operator error, lack of understanding of the functions of cache, or something else, I would be grateful for some assistance. I don't remember this behavior in CS 5.5, so I think it's a change in SC6.

I think I found the solution or what the cause of the problem, at least in my case!

I exported the image many in a single folder and later imported into AE sequence choose all together multiple sΘquence. I then created a model composition copied several times and tried to replace valid images dragging in their computer and replacing the model holding Alt. But it does not work. Everything I've done.

SOLUTION: move footage in each separate folder (in Solution Explorer) and then imported one after the other and rest is all used!

  • Transfer of work between computers

My old laptop which had Photoshop elements (version 8) is deceased and I re-installed the software on my new laptop computer.

How can I put all the work I did on my old laptop to my new laptop (Organization photo, side, slide shows)?

I can't use the old laptop, but I have the old hard drive connected to my new laptop as an external drive. So I have access to all files.

I spoke with the help of Adobe that says there is no way to do it, but I can't really believe. This information must be stored in files on the old hard drive.

Since I don't really understand the organizer and catalogs, I didn't create a backup of the catalog in the software.

    Ideas, I had:

    1. search for the files that store the data organziational and copy in the right places on the new computer

    2. find a way to install version 8 on the computer so that it points to the external hard drive. Just install can replace all data, so I would like to know how to save files with the data first.

Someone knows how to do this?

    Thank you!

    onaic wrote:

    Excellent!  Yes, it works.

    more than 2 questions

    1. the organizer's display and evoking the external drive (d), which makes sense now that I think about it.  Is there a way to enter the world discovers on drive c (local disk)?  What I mean here, is that all the photos on drives c and d are exactly the same and organized exactly the same thing.  So, if I could replace the path from d:\dir1\dir2\pict1 to c:\dir1\dir2\pict1 (for example) overall, ratings references, etc. should all work.  Looks like it's possible if PSE catalogues Picts by directory and the name, but not if it uses an internal ID.

If this can help in your response, I read that the catalog.pse8db is a SQLite database?  I don't know SQL and programming but not Adobe and use of SQLite.  If I already have the tools, and it is not too complicated, I bet I could figure out how to handle this.  The reason I mention it is that I could imagine the solution being a simple global change in a database.

2 is the way to avoid this in the future to make a catalog backup in a separate Directory?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Version 6 which adopted the sqlite database, the reader is managed in a separate of the path table full one. Whenever a new drive is recognized by Windows, a new record is created in this table. The unique identification number is assigned by the database and the serial number, the drive letter and description are stored as separate fields in the records in the table. The media table includes fields separated for the full path and the reader. In your case, each internal drive id is present and correct, but the description is false for the reader of the letter. When the Organizer does not try to recombine the letter with the full path, it uses the serial number of the drive... at least that's how I see it. So in your case, you will need to correct only a single record in the table of drive to have a clean database. Usually a change like yours is not seen by the user, if you stay with the same version of PSE, but it can hamper a conversion. Of course, you can see the structure of database and edit with sqlite tools. Simple changes such as the id of the letter do not query sql with these tools.

You are right, the right way to move all your media files from a drive or one folder to another is the backup and restore process in the Organizer. Restoring recreates a database based on your choice: same place as before, or the new location anywhere.

Edit: you will find free sqlite Web tools, my favorite is "sqlite manager" an add-on for Firefox.

  • Clean the TMS database.

How can I clean the database? Because of the license, I have 4 GB for MS SQL and the database and I don't have any space free (4095 to 4096). TMS is used only for the provision of the Global address book and I think it can be a lot of unnecessary data in it.

    Hello

    use tmsng

    DELETE FROM ScheduledCall WHERE EndTime<=>

Always back up your database on a case where prior to this launch. Change the date that it will remove all entries whose and endtime prior to the date that you set, so in this case, it will keep all entries with an endtime on May 20, which would be later.

    use tmsng

    REMOVE FROM ScheduledCall

This allows to clear the entire table.

  • How to clean files of source image unused (deleted in the database, but not on disk) in Lightroom (MacOs)?

I do not find any solution. Any ideas? Is it possible to get an export of my linked files (cvs, txt, sqlite3) - while I clean my files with my own scripts?

-There are two things, I do not understand

    (1) why it is not possible to control imports again against the entire source images? If I deleted the images they will be re-imported

    (2) why there is no export from the database as metafiles, linked the source... available?

Reimport the photos that are NOT in Lightroom to check "don't import suspected duplicates" and the creation of minimum previews in the import dialog box.

Select "Previous import" in the section library catalogue.

    Select all of these photos.

Click a picture, and then select "Remove Photos"

    Click on "remove disc".

  • How to remove the configuration of logical standby database cleanly

    Hello

We are on the BSG with 11.2.0.3 version of DB. For unknown reasons, we would like to recreate the logic of the standby database and for this I want to cleanly remove/uninstall/remove LOGIC of DATABASE of the EVE of the DATA GUARD configuration that we have.

  • Cleaning of the space of SQL Express 2005 database; Sound to its fullest.

    Hi all

Here's a question I need help. I have a vCenter Server, which has a database of maxed out of 4 GB on SQL Express 2005. It won't let me restart the service for vCenter Server if I restart the computer. Fortunately, I somehow got it upward after the restart, but not until I spent 3 hours on medium with HP/VMware. I went through the Article (KB1025914) showing the script that cleans your database, but it has not cleaned enough space to work. Now support tells me that I need to truncate the database, but I have to call Microsoft for support because they do not support problems with SQL even if it is a database of VMware and VMware the data that I need to clean all the partners. Go figure!

After that go through all of these reasons, I realized that the table that uses my space is the dbo. Table VPX_EVENT of the 1.2 GB and dbo. Table VPX_EVENT_ARG to 995MB. I was able to come back in vCenter and I found that my database retention policy has been set to never delete for events and tasks, and now I have put in 90 days. Although it has not cleaned all the space in the database, I guess that's my question is. Can someone give me any indication on how I can clean these two tables? I want to delete all events and tasks that are more than 90 days from these two tables, which should give me should I want to shrink my database of at least 50%.

    Thanks for the help.

After you change the setting, it will remove the events, but the size of the DB's not going down. You will need to run a full backup of the DB to truncate the logs. This will be relase little space but not automatically, it will just remove balls and add instead of whitespace. You can reduce the database and then you would see the size of the DB down. In SQL 2005 Express, you may need to run the cut several times, as I've experienced it won't shrink until the 3rd or 4th attempt.
