Cleaning disc does not remove "debug dump and system error memory dump files".

Original title: clean windows vista disk

on my drive clean I have 112 mb on the debug dump files and 112 mb on system error memory dump files. My problem is when I try to delete these files from my cleaning disc will not remove these files. could help me with this problem?

Hello

1. what happens when you try to delete the files of debugging bump?

2. do you get any error code or error message?

3. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Start in safe mode and then try to perform a disk cleanup and check if it works.

Step 1: Start Windows Vista in safe mode:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: Delete files using Disk Cleanup:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup

Method 2:

Run the scan tool (SFC) System File Checker and check if it helps.

Also check the event viewer on the program that is causing the problem.

Event Viewer is a tool that displays detailed information about important events on your computer.

Hope the information is useful.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.

-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • My cleaning disc does not work, why would that happen?

Open it several times checked all the boxes and I went after, and the files are still there?

It is possible that some of the files were used so that they could not be deleted.  The amount of bytes will be released decreases every time you run it?  This is what should have happened.  Otherwise, you can check for viruses and corrupt files.

Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

  • Creative cloud cleaning tool does not remove folders. Cannot install creative cloud

Hi, I am looking to reinstall creative cloud on a computer on a managed network. Creative cloud was originally installed a work until a user has attempted to update or install an additional application. We have tried many possible solutions found on the forums without success. The log of the cleaning tool shows some files do not have not be deleted.

We have uninstalled creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications

We ran the Set - up.exe administrator
We ran the cleaning tool from the administrator command prompt when logged in as an administrator.
We manually removed OOBE records as well as the AdobePatchFiles folder in Program Files (x 86).
    Process AcroTray got killed.

Whenever the installation process fails at the same point, apparently with the 201 error. The connection is wired and stable.

    It's incredibly frustrating.

It is very important that creative cloud Adobe under C: program (x 86) > Adobe must be removed.

If it is impossible to remove, rename it to Adobe Creative age of cloud.

201, is caused not only because of the remnants of files or folders, it is also due to network problems.

    You need to check both.

    See the link above.

  • Delete or not; "System error Memory Dump Files" & "Debug dump files" in the Windows 7 disk cleanup program

I am new to Windows 7, 64-bit OS and making the disk cleanup program. There are 2 unfamiliar topics with boxes to check what are the "Debug Dump Files" and "system error memory dump files.  I'm naïve as to what are these files and whether they contain all files that possibly should not be deleted.  Can anyone say and find out about what are the debug files and system error Memory Dump and if; Should I or not the check their boxes to get rid of all these files in particular type box?  Or could there be some Debug files & system error Memory Dump that might be of some importance and should not be deleted?

Thank you for your time and any comments on this would be greatly appreciated.  Have a nice weekend.

    Tom R

One good thing about Windows Disk Clean up is, only offer files delete them it is safe and will not harm your PC. Files of system errors and debugging dump files are created when there is an error in your system, and it creates a dump file that could be used for analyses. That say if you encounter blue screen error, dump file will create and if you find analysis you of cause of this problem. Whether or not you want to remove, you, some people will delete it only while others will keep the Explorer themselves later. But more importantly, it is wise to report them to Microsoft before deleting.

To do this, open Control Panel and click under Maintenance contract and Action Center, click Check for solutions then it will collect all the information related to the errors and dump files and he could ask permission to send them and if you great permission, they will be sent. Once it was successful you can delete them.

Sending the Microsoft dump files is a good idea, because there are teams who revisit and they try to find the cause and resolve it through Windows Update, or inform you about the possible solution in the center of the Action.

  • When running Disk Cleanup, it does not remove anything to "Compress Old Files'.

When I run my disk cleanup, it does not remove anything to "Compress Old Files' during cleaning.» Why not? I also need more disk space to defragment and I deleted all the programs that I don't use, but is not yet give me enough disk space.

Compress old files not removes all files, compress files that are rarely or seldom used.

If you get the low disk space, less than 15-20% free space, then you need to collect as much space as possible. However, the amount you get will not be a solution, only a temporary fix - it that.

To add or remove programs and Windows components in Control Panel, you can uninstall programs as your plue no use - if you have. Not to be far uninstalling programs, you do not recognize, many elements are required for other programs work properly.

    Uninstall or change a program

You can also check to see how much space is reserved for the restoration of the system; by default, many GBs are usually reserved. Also disable hibernation as the file created can be 2-3 GB, sometimes even more.

You must also consider moving your files and folders on a removable media, such as DVDs or an external hard drive. Still a great flash drive with 4 + GB of space can help, and their prices are reasonable these days.

In addition to Disk Cleaner, you can consider running CCleaner. This is a free program that will remove the unnecessary and temporary files temporary Internet files of the most popular and many browsers other caches that can be cleaned safely.

Since you are using Windows XP, there is a setting in CCleaner to remove the uninstallers of patches; These are the Windows Update files you've downloaded and installed over time and are there if you ever want to uninstall the update. But you can save these CD/DVD and then remove them safely from your system to recover the space. If you have ever removed one of these, you may be able to get beyond 1 GB of space.

    CCleaner

If you decide to try it, by default, that almost everything in Windows Applications and is verified to be cleaned. You must first review the lists (they are compiled by what you have installed) and check/uncheck accordingly.

Then click on analyze to see what will be removed (nothing is deleted when you click Analyze); When the scan is finished you can double-click on (or right click and select view detailed results) of the entries in the list to get more information.

According to the detailed results, you can right click for options such as adding to the list of exclusions if you want the deleted item.

Once that you are completely comfortable with your selections, you can click the run Cleaner button and then OK to put warn before vacuuming will run.

CCleaner is also a registry cleaner that I don't recommend that you use - even if you have successfully run a registry cleaner in the past, it is quite possible that the next time will bring serious problems; they are not worth the risk...

I know that this was not the miracle that you can have hoped, but personally recommended solution is a new, larger hard drive. In the case of desktop computers, an additional hard disk is useful for your personal files, especially for music, movies, photos and more.

  • Disk Cleanup is not showing me the ability to clean the system error memory dump files

Hello. When I run the disk cleanup utility in Vista, it does not show the option of cleaning the system error memory dump files. It is a very serious problem. I had to delete files that I really wanted to keep, because I thought they were taking too much space. He did not make a particle of difference. I have only two GB on my C drive now. How to fix this problem?

    Kim

You must use the scroll bar on the right disk cleanup in the window that appears after checking for space to scroll to check the boxes before these items.

Deleting the less important system restore points allows you to earn useful free disk space.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner also comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.
