Cleaning on iOS?

I recently read something online that suggested to attempted to download a very large film would encourage iOS to free up space in an attempt to create a space for the film. When I did this iOS started going through all the applications and marking them as "cleaning...". »

What does this 'cleaning up' do to applications?

I had this on my devices before. I think it's just a way to clean the temporary files stored within the application that are not necessary. The cleaning process should not take long, and you should be ready to use your applications in no more than 1-5 minutes.

  • Ungroup a set of game center

    Dear Sir

I used to play the game of Dominations, but for some time, I have not clean an iOS device.

Now I just buy an iPad. In the meantime, I've been playing the same game with and android device and I played for a long time start from where Game Center remembers me.

Can you please untie the game of Game Center?

I tried to remove me from the Game Center and uninstall but whenever I have reinstall it is still linked to the old game even.

You cannot separate a part of the game Center.

One thing you can do is make a different game center ID and sign your game in this. I have a game on both devices, but a different ID Center game on each of them, so each indie game on the other.

  • Safari bug/adware/malware won't go even after full restore

    Hello

I can't get rid of a bug that continues to make windows pop up or forcing me on stupid 'you have won a prize' sites, even after having repeatedly a clean full restore (no backup) of the iPhone. I thought he might come back through the data of Safari in iCloud, but it happens even when I don't sign in iCloud in the newly restored phone.

After that I restored the iPhone happens almost immediately when I open Safari and go to a website, and I'm not on first order as bbc.co.uk sites. The following pop ups and websites keep appearing:

Here are two examples, but others arrive. I am on iOS later and have deleted all the data browser Safari etc.

Really can't believe it happens immediately after a completely fresh restoration... it seems that the bug is in the iOS data!

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

Go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. After doing this, you can still open Safari and go about your normal browsing.

I noticed that the two examples you listed seem to be linked to Facebook. I have my own personal struggle with what I now called bad links in my Facebook News feed. Clickbait sites that you get tire to begin plaguing your screen with ads and even permanently redirect you to another site like the one you see here. It is an annoyance, but is not one that is clean in iOS. You can have all the pleasure of dealing with similar experiences click on bad links on your computer as well.  It's a question on the web.

  • How to upgrade to iOS 10 as 'clean' as possible without losing the data in the App

    Hey guys,.

iOS 10 is around the corner and, therefore, I wonder now how I can improve my iDevices (5s, 6, Air 1, mini 2) as clean as possible, i.e., ideally without the remains of previous versions of iOS, while keeping all these backups of Angry Birds and iMessages. This used to be no problem because I would just do a restore DFU, "Set up as new iPhone", install all the applications manually and restore the backups and iMessages by iExplorer. Then Apple removed the app data access in iOS 8.3 and above, who killed this option

Since iOS 8.3 I have upgraded to major releases by removing your existing backup and creating backups completely new immediately before executing a DFU restore to the new version, and then reloading your backup come on my device.

However, I am sure that this leaves still unwanted remnants of installed earlier, I really want to get rid of (so my devices also perform smooth and free of bugs as possible, with as much free space as possible). One of my ideas to get there is to delete all applications without data important app and 'Reset settings' before creating a fresh backup, do a DFU restore, restore the backup and finally reinstall and reconfigure the previously deleted applications.

Does make sense? That guys would you recommend?

    See you soon,.

    Daniel

Please read iOS 10 - official Apple Support.

However, I am sure that this leaves still unwanted remnants of installed earlier.

Is not, is there a need or benefit to the removal of the existing iCloud backups.

You're overthinking not too much of the case. There are only two basic steps: backup and update. If you have an Apple Watch, follow the third stage also: update your Apple Watch. That's all there is to it.

  • I've never done a Time Machine backup and I have upgraded to iOS Sierra. Help!

I'm a fool. After owning my Macbook for 5 years, I failed to make a single Time Machine backup. I just saved my essential to an external hard drive. I have upgraded to iOS Sierra. Big mistake. I want to go back to iOS Capitan, but it does not seem possible. Now, my external hard drive is wiped clean (things are dark). What are my options? If I'm stuck with Sierra?

If you have downloaded El Capitan, it should always be available in your purchases. Now, you will need to make a backup to backup your personal files.

  • iPhone will not synchronize the songs more (iOS 10)

After that 10 updated iOS, whenever I try to sync my music, iTunes transfers just half of my library.

I don't use the Apple music... I already tried to perform a clean installation, but it does not work.

    Any ideas? Thank you

    Greetings Advanced User,.

I understand that when you try to synchronize your entire library of music from iPhone 6, only half of the library transferred in fact more. I listen to my music on a daily basis, so I can understand your concern. We'll see what we can do.

First of all, please exit and restart iTunes and restart the iPhone. Then I want you to do, if you have not already, should make sure that you have "Sync music" and "Entire library of music" checked when you go to sync music on your iPhone in iTunes.

  • iPhone 5: objective of the camera does not work after update iOS 10

    Hello everyone.

I swear to you that I have no idea how do... after a few weeks since the release of iOS 10, yesterday I force myself to be updated - the situation with iOS 9.3.2 became crash and unbearable lag every second. The fact is that I update, I like the system and use it for a few hours. Check the camera this morning, I see that the focus does not work. Now I also see AE / AF Lock, light changes whenever I tap on one side or the other, but not to focus. Not even close or far, nothing to do. I have not tried in the settings to do a full erase, I had no way to restore it since I do not have a backup.

I tried to clean the lens - already cleaned, I tried to give him a few small nicks and follow the many guides online. I rebooted and everything done. Nothing has changed.

The last photo was taken last night and has been developed. So I don't think it's a hardware problem and if so, how has it happened? A few hours ago the iPhone is fallen, but tell me if it makes sense. If it's a software problem, what could I do?

I would avoid the assistance. It is a used iPhone, never jailbroken. I don't have a lot of confidence with the help, in 6 or 7 years he never went - iPhone always bought used and always worked very well.

PS: I have no way to get into DFU, as iTunes does not see my iPhone. Up to iOS 9 that I had no problem even if I had enough of the device with the cable isn't original, but barely now lets load ("This accessory may not work").

    Hello

I also have an iPhone 5 and I tested the question and mine is fine, how bad was the fall that you mentioned? Sometimes problems can come and go. Also try to reformulate your device.

    After this answer please.

How can I solve this problem?

    Hello Muse2559,

Please, try the following steps and test Touch ID after each step.

    1. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
    2. Make sure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry. 1 for Home button, use a clean, lint cloth to wipe off any dirt or debris.
    3. Your finger should completely cover the Home button, touch the surrounding metal ring. Contact ID is scanning, you should not type too fast or move your finger.
    4. If you use a case or a protective screen, make sure that it does not cover the Home button or the surrounding ring.
    5. Go to settings > Touch ID & password and make sure the Unlock iPhone or iTunes and App Store is on and that you have entered one or more fingerprints.

  • Update iOS 10 causes Safari does not correctly render the pages

Since the 10 iOS update, my mini iPad 4 ceased at random pages made with Safari. It's not specific to one Web site. If I close the tab and try again it works sometimes.

Symptoms is a page partially loads, but without images, backgrounds, colors, etc.  I do web development and it seems that CSS is not be responsible. I have reset my browser, but the problem persists.  Is this a known issue?

You can try in settings > Safari > clean history and data from Safari.

I hope that it might help to solve your problem.

  • What ios 10 compatible with yosemite?

Basically, are there restrictions on the iPhone upgrade to iOS 10 and Yosemite running on a MacBook? For example, will have problems with Messages, Numbers, Pages, Mail, etc. I have not activated the special features of Notes because Yosemite does not support.

To anticipate a question, I did not update to El Capitan again because I want to do a clean install and that takes careful planning. Thank you!

It is compatible and works, but some features of iOS 10 requires macOS "Sierra": http://www.apple.com/macos/sierra/

At this point, you might as well wait a few days.

  • Cannot be found in iOS 10 notes

I did a clean install of iOS 10.1 on my iPad 2 Air, not a restore of backup and linked to my existing Apple ID cloud data. I find that I can not get a result of research within the Notes application - fill in the search bar in the application with a known keyword produces no results, even after that all my notes have been uploaded and are visible.

I also did a regular update of the iOS 10.1 on my iPhone 6s without deleting data and applications, and the same prob exists on upgrading phone - no search results in the application Notes, even with all the Notes.

On my iPad Pro 12 without an upgrade, always using the latest version of 9, there is no problem, research within the Notes application, which contains of course the same, iCloud synchronized data.

Anyone else know this and have a solution?

    Hello, GerryConway!

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! Looks like you have research questions in iOS 10 Notes. I know how important it is, you are able to search correctly. The first thing I would say is on the devices with iOS 10, make sure that when you start typing in the search bar that you have selected all accounts rather than the current accounts. This can cause the search appear no results if you have selected instead of all current.

    See you soon!
