Cleaning video scratchy

Hi all

I remember someone mentioning one plug-in or other software that does a good job of scratchy video cleaning.  In my case, I have some very old VHS tapes I want to scan, but they have a lot of horizontal lines.  I cleaned the heads on the VHS player and it makes no difference, so I can only assume the band is damaged.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Bob

Bob,

I have ruined my brain and don't remember reading such a, but this does not mean that someone has not posted of it.

The closest that I can remember is neat Video, a plug-in (think she's working in the field, but only used in PrPro), or standalone processor. It is ideal to remove video noise, as occurs with underexposed pictures. I've used it extensively with VHS transfers, and he saved many hours of footage of the customers. It is inexpensive, but takes a little fiddle for listening, unless one had killed a gray card in the same exposed conditions. Also, it takes a while to render, but did a great job. However, from what you describe, I don't know if this would be useful, although their trial could answer this question.

If something appears in my feeble mind, I will share, and maybe others have just what you are looking for.

Good luck

Hunt

What is the best way to clean video noise pp cc that I had to shoot in low light room

PrPro has little help for noise... AfterEffects has a decent denoising effect, and if you are on the CC model you can download that and use it. I would like to warn that it is SAME time CPU and can slow down some work through a project. Another option is to buy the red giant DeNoiser II or neat video, the two other Step up of after-effects. They both around 100 USD $ I believe, but work very well.

  • Why a split is still done my final videos?

I am a real novice with yet. I become more proficient with Premier Pro, but so far, I'm doing as little as possible in yet.

I made three videos in the last two months. 2 votes against and no menu, just to begin to insert and with a menu of two buttons. I followed the instructions in a .pdf file training Prof. Fabian Winkler for his video Art AD30400 class in the spring of 2014. The first two were simple photo slideshows with background music. The third handset photos, audios and videos. They all walked through Premier Pro without a hitch and melted and exported very well.

All three ended up with the same problem. The whole video has difficulties to start initially, and then works fine. But, in the end, the last 3-4 minutes are cut, place in a file separate .vob who tries to pick up the rest, but stops just after the start.

I went even as far as uninstalling and reinstalling the software. It does not help.

What I am doing wrong and how do I get a single clean video out of it?

Do not use dynamic links - you'll get better quality and more control of the results using the first export - file > export > Media

This will open the export settings (attached image) window. Choose MPEG-2 DVD for the Format and choose a Preset that suits. From a HD source, that would be NTSC DV widescreen or Progressive version. Set the flow if necessary.

Use scale to fill in the parameters of the Source (top left corner) to get rid of the black bars on the sides.

    Thank you

  • Single-sided transition

Maybe I'm being dense, but I was wondering if there was a way to apply a default transition to one title CG as a single transition face?  I know that you can select two adjacent elements and use the keyboard shortcut to apply the transition between them, but one thing miss me my Avid Liquid system was to leave you with a hit apply a transition to the chosen location, not only between the clips.  This allowed me to place a CG clip on the timeline, move the pointer to the front of the tape on a key clamp, dropping a transition in and then move the pointer towards the back of the clip and press picking up the handset a transition.

I know that I can grasp the transition between the folder and drag it where I want, but it is much faster to simply select/click/apply.  When I'm working on a project with hundreds of CG titles solvent on and apart from saving a few seconds on each one adds up.  Unfortunately I have not dissolve it clips CG to another to another.

I suppose that the graph is on a clean video track and it is not butted to the other...

Target this track.  PG Up or Dn for the departure of the graphic element.

CTRL-D applies to the default transition.

He will be alone if the graphic clip is not butted to the other.  (as Jim said)

If a chained is the default transition... This will be a fade at the beginning of the clip and melted on to the end.

  • What is the best workflow?

Hi, I'm an amateur videographer and editor, Im loving cs5.5 master collection. I continue to back and forth with ideas for modification of workflow, I can't seem to find what works best, maybe this isn't the right forum to post, but I'll apreciate any help or suggestion. I use the first, after effects and audition for most and then again. It is easier to explain with an example, I have pictures from a wedding I did and im taking excerpts from this and put together a short video clip. Ive been using first for the Cup and organize clips and thanks to the dynamic link for audition, audio and effects to clean up the image. Audition without problem but when I clean video with sequelae and return for a glimpse at first, its way too rough. IM wondering if its recommended to clean video with legacy first and then export and set first and then cut and organize? If anyone has the entries or Advisor, thanks and sorry for the silly question. I'd like know how the pro. Thank you

I agree with Joe.  Do what you can in PP, don't send the AE when you can't do it in PP.  And then just make the comps related for smooth playback.  (You do not have really need of a smooth playback, by the way.  Your export will come out very well even if the real-time playback stutters.)

  • Horrible Interlacing issues. AVCHD format. I found a way around it but now have audio problems! CS4

    Hello

OK, I tried a number of things to remove interlacing of the questions that I am haivng and it seems that I found a way to get a clean video.

    Here's what I do.

Right-click on the video source in the time line and goes to the field ooptions and then selecting the option to deinterlace always.

It works with the mode only export MPEG2-DVD. Other presets give me still horrible ineterlacing.

Now, we the rendering/export is finished I get a good video, but the audio is not own separate file!

What can I do for the audio and video together?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi watching this tutorial by Jeff Bellune...  It helped me a lot with my export to DVD.  I use 720 p 60 however, but watch the video I think it can help ya.

    http://bellunevideo.com/tutorials/CS4_HD2SD/CS4_HD2SD.html

FYI - I have the same camera that I use for my house (and shoot 1080i60) stuff, and if I want to burn footage directly on DVD I use TMPGE and just to import all the clips in there and tell him to make a DVD MPEG 2 file and it looks great.  But it's just straight video, with no retouching.  But the DVD are superb.  I tried to import everything in first and just using the Media Encoder and say things to make a DVD MPEG 2 and they just don't look great.

    Good luck with it...

  • Qosmio X 875-how do to clean the dust from the fan video card?

Laptop turned off permanently during video conversion.

We see that the fan on the video card is dirty.

Has begun to dismantle unscrewed all the screws on the rear panel. Cover with a keyboard a little inappropriate, but what keeps it loops around the screen.

Maybe you first need to remove the keyboard, but tell me please?

    + Message has been translated.

I n t have this model of laptop, but, generally speaking, the disassembly procedure is always the same. You must remove the battery, Ram optical drive, HDD, on the underside and then you must remove the keyboard to access all the screws under the keyboard.

To remove the keyboard, you must insert your finger in high cover hold left and corner of keyboard to push, so let keyboard corner appears. After doing this, you must release the locks on the keyboard cover. Locks are placed in the background, on the right side and there are a few front locks. While the keyboard is disconnect the keyboard cable.

I must also say that, in my view, is not the best idea to disassemble this fairly new machine without maintenance manuals. One small mistake and you can damage something. Maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can own professional for you.

  • Clean the video folder Lightroom user cache

Hi everyone, I tried to make the free space on the hard drive of my computer when I discovered that my "user/username/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/video/MediaCacheFiles' was containing more than 100 GB of data.

I intend to erase these data in order to save space. Is it safe? I think that these data are used to get a quick view in Lightroom (in grid panel) of the different video files that have been imported into my Lightroom library. I kind of never to use LR to manage or preview my files video (first is more efficiently, besides) I don't need these very heavy additional files to share my disk space.

Can you tell me that I can do it without problems?

    Thank you

    Hi MonPortraitPhoto,

Could check you what is the space allocated for cache Lightroom video.

Check under Lightroom > preferences > file management

Also click on clear Cache in the cache of video settings.

Let us know if that helps to clear up space on your computer.

    Kind regards

  • How can I clean old video

    Hello!

I have some old video tape super 8.

The quality is very poor on some of them.

I have captured on the pc, but would like some advice on for example: clarification of the colors, noise etc. removal.

By the way, I am under PRE9

    See you soon,.

    Colin

In fact, this looks like a pretty good video transfer, Colin! Much sharper that I've seen most. You must have had a professional do the transfer rather than simply to film on a screen, as I did.

More recent versions of Premiere Elements include color Vibrance adjustment that would really bring out the color in this video. I don't remember if the version 9 includes a color Vibrance effect.

If there is no burst of color, there are other effects that can help. Try using the levels effect and increasing the R, G and B.

  • What is the best way to clean the individual video frames without degrading the quality?

I have a video that I need to remove several species of birds that were flying by during a video scene.

    Video is a Video HD 422 1920 x 1080 / 23.97 P.

Is the best to make files from Premiere Pro and open these files in Photoshop, then work on each image; and then make the file again from Photoshop?  If Yes, is not which reduces video quality a little?

The next part may require a separate post in Photoshop forum.

I tried to import my mpg and mpeg files made in Photoshop, but I keep getting an error message "the video file could not be opened."  I made some other formats; .avi and .mov., and these 2 files types to open in Photoshop V13 x 64 correct.

    CS 6

    Windows 7 x 64

    Sincerely,

While you can adjust each image in Photoshop to remove items, a better way is to use the Clone Stamp tool in After Effects to remove items in a scene.
