Clicking on CD Rom problem

I recently installed a new memory yesterday, and now for some reason my CD is what makes clicking sound when I start the PC. There is nothing wrong with the cables of connection I made sure I have tighten the cables on the cd rom and mother when I unplugged the pc and just unstalled card before I installed the new memory sticks.  Pretty good ideas about fixing this issue, I have running, some help would be great

Thank you
James

Hello

If the click is still apparent with another CD, then it is not the CD making noise.

A tube rubber / plastic to the ear at the other end pointed at various parts of the PC could help diagnose the noise is coming from.

  • Error code 19 - CD/DVD-ROM problem. Please help and read the description first!

I tried to load my games such as rollercoaster tycoon on my computer by inserting them into the disc drive. Nothing happens. I went to toautoplay and it had all the right settings I wanted. I changed several times and tried to re - insert the disc, but nothing has happened yet. I thought it was a problem of CD/DVD drive, so I went to 'Computer', right-click on Vista64 (C :) and selected 'properties'.) I clicked on the Hardware tab, and then on HL - DT - ST DVDRAM GS20N, my CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive. I realized quickly that there was a problem, because the box said"device status: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.» (Code 19) «. I looked at the code 19 on the support Web page and found a link to a Microsoft Fixit, Windows Powershell 1.0. I installed the program, he ran through and he said that he had fixed the problem. I inserted the game once more, but still nothing happens. I went to my CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive once more and he said that the problem was not resolved. I don't know how to solve this problem. Help, please! (It is not just the CD I try to insert, because none of the many CD I tried to use will work). Should I try to restart my computer?

    Hi meluvcheese22,

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey.

To resolve this problem, you can follow the methods below:

    Method 1:

Important: The following instructions contain the steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information, view the article:How to back up and restore the registry in Windows:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry

    a. Click Start and then click all programs.

    b. click Accessories and then click Run.

    c. type regedit and then click OK.

    d. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    e. in the navigation pane, search for, and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    f. in the right pane, click UpperFilters.

Note: You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to delete the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step i.

    g. in the Edit menu, click on delete.

    h. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

    i. in the right pane, click LowerFilters.

    j. in the Edit menu, click on delete.

    k. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

    Exit Registry Editor.

    Mr., restart the computer.

You can check the link below: your CD-ROM drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116

    Method 2:

    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter. The Device Manager window opens

    b. expand DVD/CD player and right click on the sub element and click on uninstall.

    c. restart your computer.

    d. open Device Manager, click Action,

    e. click on scan for hardware changes. Follow the instructions.

  • Packard Bell Easynote laptop computer CD Rom problem in Vista

I have a Packard Bell Easynote laptop computer and the CD rom does not recognize my DVD - RW drive, it recognizes and plays all other formats, any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Russ

    Hello

Close all programs and then put in a DVD - RW blank = what happens?

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and may your reading/reading on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    --------------------

This troubleshooting could not help if there is alignment and/or wear issues however it
    a shot.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • Satellite click mini camera rear problem

Hello! could someone help me please. 10 rear camera no longer works after upgrade and installation of windows. What will I do to solve this problem? Help, please. Thank you

Click on the Mini - fix driver camera
    ------------------------------
    This has two cameras:
-"Front" is a webcam above the screen low resolution. I think that this example uses an OV2722 sensor.
-"Backwards" is a camera of higher resolution in a corner of the white species. I think that this example uses an AR0543 (Intel Avstreams camera) sensor
When I got the Mini click (Win 8.1) only the rear camera worked. After the upgrade Win10 worked only the front webcam
-previous discussion forum below gave me enough information to solve the problem.

    1. in the Device Manager there are three relevant entries:
-under the heading of imaging devices, there is a single entry for "Signal imagery 2400 processor"
-under system devices there were two entries: ar0543 OV2722 sensor camera and camera sensor Unicam
    2. the driver for camera sensor Unicam ar0543 is OK (10/07/2015), but you'll have to let him search online for updates from the other two.
-With camera sensor OV2722 there simply a updated driver from 2014 to 2015/06/15
-With 'Processor of Signal imagery 2400', it will update the driver (to 07/04/2015), but the entry of imaging devices becomes "Intel Avstreams Camera.
3 Win10 then you ask to restart because there has been a change in material.
-After that the camera application has an additional button that lets switch you between the two cameras, and both work very well.

  • P10: DVD / DVD-ROM problems

    Hi guys!

Hope you can help, probably something stupid, I forgot. I have the P10 series with a Combo DVD - ROM SD-R2412 type. I recently put a new installation of the op (XP) system by using the system restore disks. Since then, my cd drive reads DVD movies and normal cd but not DVD ROM such a DVD - ROM games. Any ideas? Windows XP sees it as a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, but that's all.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hello

I'm not sure but I think that your device has a DVD - RAM drive. I have the same drive in my Satellite and everything works perfectly. I really don t understand how something like this possible is especially after the reinstallation of the operating system with recovery CD.

I put t know if you use the original games store or some houses burned. Try to use many different DVD media to know what problem one makes.
