client vSphere 4 connect to ESX 3.5

I did some research but can find no definitive answer.

How to use my client vSphere 4 directly manage an ESX 3.5 host without it forcing me to download and install the VI 2.5 client?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can connect to a host with the customer vSphere4 VI3, but if you do not have the VI3 Client it will install it.  Once it's done you can just use the vSphere4 Client connect to VI3 or vSphere4.

  • VSphere Web client and client heavy cannot connect to Vcenter server 5.5, web client fails with 2032 error before the connection, then the work after one minutes ferw.

    Hi all

I really need help here.  I have a new installation of Esxi5.5 and installed the server vcenter build 5.5.0.5201 device 1476389.

I have host files properly configured for DNS and Server 2008 R2 running that I use to connect with the client or web client heavy.

Initially, I get an error with the web client to connect, he began to paint Vmware and when it comes to 'r' in the name it fails with #2032, so I can no longer

access the page at all, he says: connection refused for the page. If I wait a while I can connect again.

heavy client vSphere fails at this time as well.  However, I cannot communicate directly with Vsphere client to server esxi host and it works all the time.

There seems to be a problem with the device of vcenter server because the thick client fails, and does not open a backup program using vcenter server

    inventory when this happened.

Please help, it drives me crazy...

    Hello

Since I found the solution to the problem of connecting to the device of vcenter.  It is a conflict of IP address on the network.  There was a machine with the same IP address virtuall

as the vcenter server.  This caused intermittent problems etc.. Why web client would still work if I have the vmware client open I do not know

so thank you for your help.

  • client vSphere 4 cannot connect to ESXi3 3.5

Hi, I am not sure that this should go to 3.5 ESXi3 or ESXi4.

When I try to connect to the host of ESXi3 3.5 using client vSphere (v4), it

says I need to download and install the updates from the host. So, I did

This, but the downloaded file appears to be damaged. I tried to download

from the INTERFACE of the web host, always the same... corrupted.

So, I install VCenter and somehow it updates my VI client vSphere client and I can connect to the host of 3.5 ESXi3 now.

But is there no work around beside installing Vcenter? I can't sales VI3 somewhere? I don't have any other 3.5 ESXi3 to try to download the VI client.

    Thank you.

If you download a patch firmware for ESXi 3.5 and then extract the ZIP file, one of the ZIP packages will be the VI client embedded in it.

  • Why can't I see hosts/guests in my vCenter while I can see them in the Web Client vSphere?

    Hello

IM new to VmWare\PowerCLI.  The goal is to get a list of VM guests in a vCenter via PowerCLI.  I can see 80 guests when I connect via the Web Client vSphere, but when I use the PowerCLI cmdlets, a Get-VMHost returns nothing.  I did the following:

1 connect-VIServer the username-password IluvVmWare myserver.acme.com-acme\BigDog connects fine without error.

    2. $defaultviserver | Select * shows me the default connection properties.

    3 get-data center shows me 2 data centers; DC1 and DC2

    4 get-DataCenter DC1. Get-VMHost returns nothing

    5 get-VMHost returns nothing

    6 get-vmhost-Server myserver.acme.com returns nothing

What I do wrong with PowerCLI so I can't get a dump of the hosts on the vCenter?  I can see them all in the vSphere Web Client, so permissions seem fine.

    It looks like that there.

You must speak with the vCenter admin I guess.

More simple would you give permissions to view read-only on the vCenter and let this authorization to spread.

Out of curiosity, this shows the VMHostname?

    Get - VM | Select Name,@{N='VMHost'; E={$_. VMHost.Name}}

  • Customer error supported download the files for the client vSphere 5.0

    Hi all

I am new to VMware and learning ESXi 5.0. I built my 5.0 ESXi host and then downloaded the 5.5 vSphere client. Given that I have only one host; client vSphere 5.5 can handle that. I installed the client and enter the IP address of the host with root/configured password management. He gave the certificate WARNING said to download the files from customer support. He has always exceeded with error as you can see it.

I'm under client on a LAN connection high speed, I even changed the connections to see if access to the internet the problem. It is more simple home, 1 host installation, a windows 7 computer (with vSphere client installed), both connected to my DSL modem/router. The client support files won't download anything. • 5.5 and Windows Client vSphere vSphere

I recently did a fresh install of vCenter 5.5 and then improved my hosts to 5.5 from 5.0 and moved into the new vCenter. I noticed a slight problem with vCenter. I can log into it without any problem using the web client. It connects for the first time I try every time. However, when I try to connect to the same vCenter server with the Windows 'fat' client, there are connection problems, and I have to try several (5 - 10 times or more) before it will record in. It gives the following error:

"The vSphere client could not connect to"< vCenter >". The vcenter "< >" took too long to respond. (The command exceeded because the remote server taking too long to answer) ».

I don't know why the web client connects without problems while the Windows client is very random with implementation. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

VMware support had me increase the time-out value in the client vSphere for the server that seemed to help. Administration-> vCenter Server settings-> settings-> normal operations time-out - change from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.

    Dear all,

How to connect mulitple esx, I write a script to connect to multiple esx simultaneously and get vmhost detials.

I tried it in my script.

Then you should be able to do

To avoid having the password in clear text, you can also use the Credential parameter

  • Windows PE and 7 clients trying to connect to servers on port UDP 500

We have a lot of nie on our internal firewall from various machines in our area who are trying to connect to servers on port UDP 500 that are fill newspapers on the firewall. Servers usually aren't domain controllers, some are Terminal Server servers and one our imaging Server (LANDesk). Clients fail to connect to the VPN either. We do not use IPSEC anywhere in their own country.

It seems that UDP500 traffic is generated when accessing other services on the server such as RDP or file-sharing, not all clients are and stop the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service on the client seems to stop packets. So I think I know what it does but I don't know why. I have some screenshots of our managed service provider package and connected remotely to a system running Windows PE, looked with TCPView and valid traffic that packages stop when the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service is stopped. I do not think its malware.

I'm really excited to know what mechanism is causing these packages and knowledge if we accept it or not.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Client AnyConnect and connections without client hang for two users

    ASA 5525, v.19 9.1 (5)

    AnyConnect client 3.1.02026

I have two users who are unable to connect through the AC client or no client via the web portal. The use of the client, it will get stuck in a loop of "check updates". On the portal, the connection will proceed to point "Cisco Secure Desktop validated successfully... Success... Reloading... Please wait. "Then it crashes here.

This problem occurs for the user, no matter which company laptop it connects to. A help desk technician can use his laptop computer and connect properly, but she could not connect on his own laptop computer or on another laptop. (Same for the other user.) So the question does not appear to be linked to his laptop or the installation of the CA. (Helpdesk reimage her machine early in the process of solving problems before they realized that the question seems to follow the user.)

I've updated the hostscan - no change in the results file.  Client and clientless connections seem to work for all users. We are puzzled.  Suggestions, anyone?  Thank you!

The LDAP protocol must be people - Active Directory server.  Chances are the one who manages the SAA should have access at least to look at Active Directory to look that up.  If they are not they need.

Of course, I don't know a lot about what you use the devices, but if you use ISE, there should be a type of device MNT (monitoring and troubleshooting) - collecting newspapers and, hopefully, they are sent to a certain type of overall collection of syslog (splunk?) tool.

Otherwise, there should be a device called a CAM (Clean Access Manager) who collects newspapers - which can also be spread to a global tool for syslog - but with cam, you can pull reports from the output in a file delimited by commas (.csv) and pass through them that way.

-The thing that annoys me, is he gets to two users any computer, they try to connect to any network to which they connect, and other users can authenticate and access network on these same devices.

-That is why it is rather confused.  Pretty much saying, there must be something with:

-the pool of intellectual property that they get an IP of

    -their powers AD

    -user name

-something in this sense, if the information provided is accurate.
