Clock shows wrong time

My clock says it's 15:52 when it's really 11:15... How can I configure the exact time? I have 'network provided time zone' checked, shouldn't that do the trick? I had to set the time manually, a real pain )

It should if you also 'Time provided by network use' under 'automatic date and time?

I think my cmos battery is going to die soon.

someone has an idea, how this cmos battery can be changed by myself?

    Thank you
    Reinhard

    Hello Reinhard

I agree with you. It is time to replace the CMOS battery. It is not easy and the machine must be dismantled. If you are not familiar with the procedure for disassembly, it can be dangerous. A small mistake can result with damaging material.

If you want to do it alone, you do so at your own risk. Be sure to use the right battery. Maybe you won't believe, but if you use a battery hurt it could cause battery explosion, or other damage.

I'm not 100% sure, but the RTC battery must be placed on the left side near the touch pad. If you want to only please be very gently. The laptop parts are very sensitive.

The time zone is not the computer's time. It's the shift of computers in hours and minutes from the Greenwich Meridian

    The Unbuntu site suggest http://askubuntu.com/questions/323131/setting-timezone-from-terminal

To change the time zone of the terminal, simply press Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard to open the Terminal. When it opened, run the commands below:

    sudo dpkg - reconfigure tzdata

Once opened, just follow the screens to change the time zone.

  • Clock display wrong

    Hello!

I have a new Samsung NP350V5X laptop and windows 7 installed top. I noticed that my clock randomly shows wrong time. It's not okay if I manually update the time of the internet and sees it at the right time after I put it far, but whenever I turn off the laptop and turn it on the next day, he shows the wrong time. I searched the net to find answers, but nothing seemed to help.

Someone has a tip what to do? I thank very you much. :)

  • Wrong time; No work of Fix

We are in an office and 4 of us are connected to an Internet Server and some software that we share.  4 users AND the server always shows wrong time - about 10-15 minutes.

I have read every available answer and tried every fix, but we either do not have the little ' time Internet "tab most call for papers for, or the answers just do not apply (Yes, we have daylight saving time.  Yes, we are in the correct time zone)

I guess that the 4 users have the wrong time because that's the way it is on the server.  But why?  Someone has an idea?

    Thank you very much!

  • HP Officejet 4630e all in one: the time on my printer display shows the wrong time

The clock on the display shows the wrong time.  Does anyone know how to rectify this please.

    Hello

The date and time settings would cause problems of synchronization with Eprint if incorrect. The date and time should be accessible from the Preferences menu.

    Try this

    Power reset

    1. Without putting off the product, disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
    2. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord into the back of the product.
    3. If the product is not already on, press the power button to turn it on.

Now, try to change the date and time and check.

    Where this fails, try this

Setup > tools > restore defaults

Try to set the date and time of return

NOTE: This will remove network also settings so you need to redo the configuration of the network

Check your regional settings in the control panel. Make sure that your time zone is set to which your PC is actually in.

If your time is changed after turning off the PC, it can be that the battery of your PC that keeps your clock "ticking" is dead and must be replaced. For desktop computers, it will almost certainly be a CR2032 and be something relatively simple to find and replace. for laptops, maybe it's not a CR2032 and may be very difficult to find and replace. Whatever it is, when in doubt, consult a technician, ideally one that you can get a recommendation for. I would have thought 10 dollars (including the battery) had to do for a desktop computer. A computer laptop pourrait be much more expensive, both for the battery and work.

    Tricky

  • Clock showing the correct time to almost every time when connecting

Original title: clock wrong, lot of time whenever I connect

My clock is constantly with the wrong time almost every time I connect and I have to readjust it.  Can anyone help?  Also, I tried live help, but for some reason that Microsoft would not accept my product key, I know it's the right key.

I also seem to lose my time 12 settings of the clock all the time too, and he keeps returning to the 24 hour clock that I hate.  And I often do not remember how I changed it in the first place to return the parameters of what I want.
    Any help appreciated.
Help with my product key I type in directly from the email that Microsoft sent me live also really curious to know why I can't get online?

    Try this workaround:

    1. Type "schedule tasks" in the search field of the start screen of windows or via the menu of charms and open it.
    2. Expand - Library of Task Scheduler > Microsft > Windows and you will see - synchronization of the time, almost at the bottom of this list.
    3. Double-click the "SynchronizeTime" task and go to the tab "triggers."
    4. Click 'new... '. »
    5. You will see a drop-down list next to the text that says "begin the task:" at the top of the window. Select the option "at startup" and click "OK" to save and close the relaxation. You will then see your new trigger on the list in the task. Click 'OK' to close the task.
    6. Close Task Scheduler.

Time system MUST synchronize now to start and pretty much solve this problem. There may be a delay while your computer connects to a network. Time synchronization may not work if your clock is off by a significant deviation from the server.

  • Clock is wrong, each reset jumps to an incorrect value

We are a charity running a hospital radio station. We have a couple of computers running Windows XP Pro SP3.

For some reason, the time is wrong. This isn't a matter of simple time zone where it is exactly an hour off - read more.
On a single machine, the time is out of 63 minutes, 29.4 seconds. Another is is only 10.3 seconds. But, we have "mission critical" application that requires time to be correct, such as the national news by satellite.
Each computer is running as an administrator, we have no reason to restrict users. If we go to the date and time settings, and set the time manually, it shows in time for a split second, then returns to the previous setting. If we use Windows when the same thing happens, he maintains for a brief flash and then shows the incorrect time again.
We tried to use Symmtime, an application that runs with happiness on the other PC that shows a digital clock and date, it updates via Internet and normally sets the clock to the right time - he does, for a second, then goes back again. Other computers on the same network, are not affected. Just those two. (Symmtime reports the value adjusted, which is where I took the exact amount of the error of)
Time Windows is disabled, it is not that anything that is set to zero. I went through the local security settings - local policies/user rights assignment/change time system - which now includes "Everyone" - but still will not allow the time to be changed. We have changed zone up and down then back to GMT
300022 KB suggested adding certain values, but is not clear - the values shown are spaces in names, only the registry keys. There is no information to tell if they are DWORD or anything, or what should be the value. After giving "everyone" access to change the time, I think that the article is redundant to our needs.
Our technology tells me that the CMOS battery has been changed, what could have been a cause of time running slow but blocks do not access to change the time. Even with a dead battery, you can start a PC and set the date and time manually.
The computers are connected to a working group, but not a domain, other computers in the same workgroup do not have the problem. DHCP is disabled, because we use the IP addresses defined on the network for purposes of port mapping.
A separate computer in another place has been recently overhauled because of problems she was having with the mutilated software. He was stripped to a disk drive formatted hard and installed fresh Windows XP Pro SP3. This PC also has the same issue and the clock is 9.2 seconds out. Again, we cannot redefine the time, he changes a fair return on its own initiative. It is not on the network as it is in another office of 14 miles away.
We tried stop W32Time process, even through a reset while he was arrested, but still can not change the time.
We really do not know what may be the problem and how to fix it-any ideas?

    SOLVED

This has driven us crazy for some time. Some of our PCs had the question, which excluded the many sources available such as a router or server time or something.
We finally found that the problem is a piece of software called PC Auto Shutdown of http://www.drivermagician.com/autoshutdown/
There is an option to check in here: ' prevent users change the time system.
Unchecking the box unchecked the problem for us. Something so simple, and yet has eluded us for months! No one knew that the option was there.
