    Hello everyone.

Before all these i want you to know that I had created Hp recovery cd of hp recovery cd creator, but whenever I start since the 1st cd error 0xc000000e comes and I can't do anything.

Well, I'm currently building my HDD from zero again.

For some reason, I deleted the entire drive, and of course I deleted all partitions (hp recovery, system, HP_tools, C)

I searched and I worked too much to make the record as it was before the format. I mean that of the recovery of all the cd's that I had created, I copyed all wim files (150) and I managed to create a WIM (base.wim) (base.wim 14.1 but original was 14, 4 GB) under the name exactly as it was. After that, I managed to extract the windows 7 because it was manufacture of imagex. Then I created the HP_RECVOVERY (E (16.8 GB) parition and I put this basic .wim file and all other files are on the recovery disk 1.) After that, I managed to organize and build the structure of partition as excact it was before with the same partition type ID, same custom mbr, even the score SYSTEM which is hidden and HP tools (100 mb). Now I can boot to the recovery with the f11 key partition or boot from the recovery partition if I choose the option from the Recovery Manager.

In addition, I fixed the BCD and everything is ok. Custom MBR is okay, the trapping sequence is ok, IDS are ok etc.

Finally, it seems that nothing happened. And here we are

My problem is that whenever I try to do small restore the Recovery Manager I come with the error "the partition manager can run hard drive, it takes the cd to start." But as I said previously, disc 1 cannot start, it seems 0xc000000e.

My second problem is when I try to create the 2nd recovery disk to load the stucks to 0 several minutes after he normally goes and when it ended at 100%, it displays "1 on 1 disc is necessary" and when I put the DVD on dvd rom comes another error and know it: the dvd is not empty put another dvd, etc.

I think that some files are missing or some settings are bad, but I can not figoure what is it... !

I tried to get in touch with HP is they told me that my laptop is wihdrawn and they can't send me set of recovery disks.

Can you help me fix this situation?

    I would be happy

Sorry if I had grammatical or language errors

Well, I finally managed to fix the error 0xc00000e in the 1st recovery Cd, and now I'm reinstalling Windows 7 starting from recovery Cd

  • Clubhouse dv6: HP Mobile Data Protection sensor

It is better to install? Or this would create problems for my laptop works properly? Also, would you please explain what actually makes the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's a safety device connected to the hard drive.  If the Mobile Data Protection sensor detects that your laptop is declining, it loads the disc HARD to park the drive heads to try to avoid damage to the drive.

I installed Windows Technical Preview 10 on several machines and find no problem with that, even if it is possible, you may need to install an updated driver (this is provided by HP 3D DriveGuard software) when you upgrade to 10.

  • Clubhouse dv6: my laptop has a webcam but no built in webcam app.

I have to use a crappy software to take pictures. How can I fix it? I need a webcam application that has a timer and I was hoping it would be a be built in webcam app on my laptop that would do the trick. But there is no application in the first place.

    Help.

    Hi, thanks for the response.

I downloaded the Cyberlink YouCam, and it did not work. He showed that it had been installed, but it does not open.

However, I had the chance to find the HP MediaSmart Webcam on the HP forum and it's amazing. Œuvres of wonders!

Here is the link to it--> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=ob-88546-1

  • Clubhouse dv6: the battery on my laptop seems rather useless

I had this problem for quite a while. I have to keep my laptop connected to the charger ALL THE TIME. As soon as I unplug it, the battery level falls to about 11% and then stops immediately in the next minutes.

Should I replace the battery? I live in Bangladesh and I can't seem to get the region HP support.

The most likely thing is that the battery must be replaced. 2 years on how long they last and if it's the original battery, this model is actually a little more than 2 years.

  • Deleted partition HP_Tools, upgrade to Windows 8

I have upgraded to Windows 8 Enterprise edition, with the hope of just checking out and returning to Windows 7 when the trial is up. Well, after an iso disk and installing Windows 8, I noticed that I had deleted the partition HP_Tools...

I need this partition to use for recovery.

Note that I made a disc of recovery using Hp Recovery Manager, when I bought my laptop but now Hp Recovery Manager is gone and I have a flash drive with unnecessary data (apparently). I downloaded and installed every update of the UEFI Bios, all the drivers for my laptop and the essensically it works PERFECTLY fine... but I can't use my recovery disk because I have no Hp Recovery Manager installed on my computer. When I tried I get the message "Softpaq not apply to the system, without HP Recovery Manager installed." I have Hp Recovery Manager NEED use my recovery disk.

I will note that I did successfully a NEW partition of HP_Tools, but technically it contains no useful data, a few things from BIOS and others, but not HP Recovery Manager.

Someone walk me through this please.

Thank you. I also have a

    HP Pavilion g6-1a60us...

I tried and failed to install ALL available software they had for my laptop, including the crappy stuff like Cyberlink webcam and other stuff but HP Recovery Manager, that's what I can't install

ANY help would be GREATLY apprecited.

You should not really Recovery Manager installed. USB flash recovery must be bootable and includes the Recovery Manager:

  • QuickWeb on a 3025dx dv6

I just purchased a dv6 from best buy 3025dx and took to implement.

Because I don't like the bloatware that comes on laptops, and I have a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, the first thing I did was a clean install of windows.  I was not aware of what was at the time, QuickWeb so I deleted the recovery partition so HP_TOOLS...  Now, I would like to reinstall quickweb, but could not find the installer on the support site.

Because I'm not a fan of most of the stuff that comes on computers, to storebought, I have any use for the recovery of HP...  I just all the drivers to store on an external drive and take an image of the system as soon as I'm done with the Setup program.

I have already created a partition of 2 GB, called HP_TOOLS and would appreciate any help to find the installer for quickweb.  Thank you.

Went to Best Buy and plugged a flash drive into their display model.

Taken from the HPQWLL of C:\swsetup\ folder and it took home...

Fast Web installed and it works fine.

  • SSD upgrade - clone OS + part HP_TOOLS. from old to new ssd hd

    I have a hp elitebook 8740w
I changed my old hd with an ssd.

How can I keep the partition with HP_TOOLS?

    I've already tried
I used the software SSD for migration - perfect copy, the operating system works, copy partition HP TOOLS, but does not start with the f11
I used "migrated easy" - perfect, the operating system works, copy the partition HP TOOLS, but does not start with f11
I use the shell "Macrium Reflect" - perfect copy, the operating system works, copy the partition HP TOOLS, but does not start with f11.

is there a way to clone the partition HP TOOLS and make it work with f11 at startup?

    Thank you

I already have the recovery dvd... but I have no ' here with me. Is there another method?

If I use windows DVD to intall Os directly on the new ssd hd, download hp sowtware? (es. assistant hp?)

Perfect, now you can simply install the ssd and run drives. The optical drive in the BIOS as first boot and reboot, it will start the recovery without F11 etc...

Yes, I actually prefer a clean install of Windows instead of using the recovery discs. This means a new pure system and I can not install anything (from HP or elsewhere), I want because applications such as HP Support Assistant do more harm than good. However, I always use the HP Wireless Assistant. Make sure you have saved all the necessary drivers (it is in a folder called SWSETUP) or at least you know which device is real and download the drivers later the site of home of HP laptop.

  • Pavilion 15-p066us: need explanation of all these Partitions

    * beep * management in my system (15-p066us-Win 8.1) display 4 partitions in the gpahic Panel:

    Healthy 650 MB (recovery Partition)

260 MB Healthy (EFI) system partition)

    675,18 GB NTFS Windows (C)

22,44 GB NTFS RECOVERY (D healthy (OEM Partition))

At the same time, the ad panel shows the RECOVERY (D score twice.) At the same time with the same information.

I know what are the scores C: and D: (I think).

Why the D: partion is listed twice?

What is the difference between the recovery 650 MB Partition and Go 22,44 (D Partition RECOVERY?)

What is the EFI System Partition?

    I know, a lot of 'newby-ISM' here.

BTW, the system works well, I just want to know what is inside.

    Hi there @xdellman

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand your question and confusion about different partitions on your system. With a lot of BIOS more recent systems are more than before.

There are a few resources I can offer for you to watch which can help. Despite some "technical jargon", they should be useful for you. Start with this one:

Partitioning and naming of the disks (Windows 8)

It is a wonderful message of @Daniel_Potyrala , even if reference is made to windows 7, is loaded with useful information that applies to windows 8 as well. Its theme is more on the preparation of another drive with partitions, but this part of the update, there is information on the purpose of most of the partitions that you ask the subject. For your question, see especially section B, C, and E in this post on our forums.

How to repartition the disk HARD of HP notebook with pre-installed Windows 7

The EFI partition is a component of the system BIOS, abd allows the drive to be initialized and readable with a compatible BIOS, UEFI systems. If it were to be tampered with, the reader is more would probably recogneized as a boot device.

The 22GB recovery partition is going to be one that contains an image of your original factory configuration. It is recommended ihghly you have a set of recovery discs to have another backup of your system. You can make only one series.

The smallest is probably one that contains backups of the current BIOS installed and the drivers used in case you need to recover a BIOS update has failed. Normally there is a small partition called HP_Tools.

    I hope this helps.

  • Pavilion dv6t factory (Basic vs. dynamic) Partitions question

The 4 following partitions have been configured on my new laptop.

    (C, recovery (D, HP_Tools (Eand the SYSTEM)))

The configuration of the disk was "Basic".

When I created a new partition of data, my only choice was to change the disc "Dynamics", as a 'Basic' partition is only good for 4 partitions. There are several problems with a dynamic configuration (something good some bad). I want a separate DATA partition, but because HP has now added this unknown partition of HP_Tools you can not add another partition without changing the dynamic type.

I like to use a separate partition to allow updates system automatic image even though I know I could lose my image with a faulty drive. The problem is that a disc hard 'dynamic' cannot restore an image correctly.

I'm looking for comments or suggestions to the following:

How important is the partition of HP_Tools?

Store this image on the C: partition as the SYSTEM partition is separate? I've never seen a separate partition for the SYSTEM because it is usually part of the C: drive.

    Thank you

    As a follow-up, here's what I did.

I reinstalled the original factory system

    Deleted the recovery partition

    Shrunk the partition 'C '.

Created a partition "DATA" with unallocated disk space

Since I now only 4 partitions of the hard drive has not been converted to dynamic. Now I can save the images on the new "base" partition, of course with the knowledge that the falls in hard drive failure I lose my image. Since I have also periodically to create an image on an external hard drive I consider this acceptable image backup approach.

  • Does not complete the Installation BIOS.

    Hi all

IM using a HP DV6 - 7028TX, product number: B3K22PA #ABG and im having a problem with the installation of the most recent BIOS.

Currently I have the f.2bs bios version and the more recent available is F.2D REV.

So my question is when I run the update through HP support assistant function, it works very well and insydeflash said his copied succsessfully and requires a reboot.  To restart the shows "Press DELETE to enter setup", then a white screen and it remains on this white screen indefinitely. Then by pressing the power button, I restart the laptop and it starts fine.

I tried to download only the bios package from the hp website and run as administrator, but as on the reboot I just get the blank screen again and no reply.

Any advice on how to complete this update would be greatly helpful.

7 exit the BIOS, saving the changes (duh)
    8. after restarting the laptop, you will see the guest coveted for clear the TPM, which is shown below.

  • Impossible to 'System' to defrag Portion of the hard disk on Windows 7 Pro or Windows 8 Pro dvt7-3000

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dvt7-3000 CTO that has a single disk drive hard 500 GB.  The operating system has been improved in Windows7 Pro (64-bit) to Windows 8 Pro (64-bit), but the problem occurs in both operating systems.  When conducting the defragmentation of the different hard disks (C:\ D:\, HP tools and system), the percent of the "System" drive which is fragmented never changes, while the % fragmented adequately for other readers going to 0%.  Over time, the system part of the hard disk rose to 27% fragmented.  How to defragment this drive?

    Hello

The system partition contains the boot files and recovery for Windows 7 environment and should not be défragmentée.  It will always appear to be fragmented and it is quite normal - force this partition defragment would almost certainly avoid the Windows startup.  In addition, the fragmentation in this small partition has absolutely no effect on performance.

For much the same reasons, the recovery partitions or HP_TOOLS must be défragmentées.

    Kind regards
