• MD3000, 1 physical node, 1 guestm - via MSCS cluster vm

  Hey all,.

  New to VMware, 5 days or more.  Had no problems until the cluster of files.  I read a lot of suggestion on the site before joining, but curious experience to relevant question.

  2 knots 2950, md3000, MSCS - all good

  Off of passive node

  Configured VM Guest, added Vswitch for physical nic, these NICs to the guest. (did not VMkernal to create the switch as if I did it, on behalf of the network, my created switch was not available in the drop-down list) I thought I had to creatre switch VMkernal for NFS to work... for the connection to the MD3000.

  So, added the static IP to nic on guest, a LAN, a cluster link. Added to the cluster - success

  Reanalysis in and SAS5E listed in ESX adapeter. and displays the LUN on current MD3000 3 which I would like to connect.

  Now its time for RDM... correct?

  When you try to mount LUNS to guest, no available RDM... it is grayed out?

  Said also that it is due to the md3000 already data container and NTFS already.

  Any suggestions on this played out scenerio is appreciated.

  For MD3000, the only solution is the first: create (or add) a Virtual disk, give the host, rescan storage adapters and add the raw disk to the VM node.

• Satellite P100: 5-in-1 reader with XD but not working with SD cards

  I have a problem with my satellite P100, the 5-in-1 reader successfully read SD and XD cards, but since 3 days ago (no upgrade, or any new software), it still works perfectly well for XD cards, but no more for SD cards. When I insert an XD card, I get a drive letter, with an SD card and tried several other different, nothing happens, as if they did not exist.

  How about the update driver?
  As suggested go to Device Manager, select the card reader and reinstall the driver.
  What you can do, is also to remove it from the Device Manager and after new OS restart, the drive should be recognized again.
  In this case, the driver must be initialized again. Check it out.

  Another question. Have you used the option remove? Usually if you want to remove the card or disconnect the USB device you should use first remove it safely and then you can remove the card from the slot. Don t forget.

• How to read 3 analog inputs simultaneously with 6070E?

  Hello

  I wanted to read 3 analog signals simultaneously using cards of acquiring data NI PXI-6070E and Labview 2010.

  Just click on = pull down from the constant physical channel, select Browse and shift-click or Ctl-click here to add other channels. You can also type in new channels with the ai0 syntax: 2 for three continuous channels for example.

• Error reading POWER HP 66xx block

  I learned (slowly) obtain a set of instuments external connected to LabView. For the most part, I was a successful read and write commands and data from the basic instruments. There is a problem that I can not understand both of my Agilent 6653 power supplies.

  Can I get the supplies to put the power switch as well as setting volts/amps output. The problem is trying to read measured volts and amps back. The VI freezes and gives an error message I don't understand. Here are a few screenshots, if it is useful to download the VI, of course I can do it.

  It is a criterion VI the only function is to have control over basic food and read a Keithley DMM to make a comparison. Both work very well until I have add the SOUL READ vi on the block diagram power supply section. It seemed simple, VISA and ERROR pass through and he must spit, voltage and current as a DBL.

• Binary read with one of the many possible definitions - or - how ot loop over different groups?

  Hi all

  I have a group of different data types that I save as a binary file and read it again at a later date with an another VI. I saved the definiton of cluster with a typedef, so I am sure that I use the same type of reading and writing.

  Now, I needed to change the cluster in the writing program should include another value. However, I still want to be able to use the VI of reading to read the old and new data files. I also have the opportunity to change the definition of binary file in the future (in VI writing) and be able to quickly adapt the VI to read the new definition while maintaining compatibility with the old.

  My plan was to have a typedef of the pole for each revision, say v1.ctl, v2.ctl, v3.ctl...

  Suppose I have a binary input file that has been saved using one of these typedefs but I don't know which. I now open the file and try to read its binary contents with each of my typedefs for data type and to stop once the reading of the binary VI gives no error. Then I would translate this cluster to the definition of cluster current version by wiring through existing values and assigning values of model / default for variables that are not on the binary file.

  My idea on how this could work is described here, with three versions of filetype:

  

  For each new version of filetype I would need a new business structure although the content of the business structures is almost identical.

  Because I save the file type definition version in my files, I could even simplify and use a separate case structure to update the data and fill in the dummy data:

  

  Now the error structures are completely identical, only their inputs differ by type. How can I work around this? How can I loop over the typedefs from different cluster effectively?

  I use LabView 2012 SP1.

  Since you already have a version of the cluster, just read this byte digital itself and then use a case structure date back to before the version and read the entire cluster based on whatever the version of the type definition read you.

• Support of SD W500 32 G SD reader

  32G SD cards are supported in the slot SD W500? I have a 32G card I can with success read and write using a cheap USB drive connected to the W500 (4061 B13) but have been unable to get the W500 to recognize in the SD slot. The card is a class 6 SDHC.

• Problems with multiple framerates and Blackmagic Decklink 4 K Extreme reading

  Recently, I exchanged by AJA Kona card for extreme Blackmagic Decklink 4 K in order to get external followed in DaVinci Resolve.

  I work in a 1080 p 23.976 project that includes a 29.97 SD and HD images. Loading these images of 29.97 FPS in my layer source footage, I meet regularly with frozen reading (the triangle of game in my toolbar becomes a symbol of the square and stays that way). From there on, I am unable to playback images in any scenario and requires a complete closure of the system to return to normal! The problem is apparently BOUNCING, with successful reading happening sometimes.

  Images of 29.97 was DVCPRO, I tried to transcode to Prores to solve problems. No dice. I think it's a problem related to the inability of the Decklink to manage several rate display on the fly, but wanted to present here, too. I also experienced delays intermittent sync on my monitor.

  You should not have problems with Blackmagic manage several formats on the fly. However, I believe that the problems of reading frozen that your description is related to the Desktop Driver video 10. I suggest rolling back to 9.3.3 for now. Blackmagic now turns on this issue.

• Permissions applied to the Cluster or host to propagate to child virtual machines

  If I ask a Cluster folder read-only permissions or a host (for a particular group of users) with the propagate to child objects enabled, when a new virtual machine is created within that folder, the user is able to do much more than R/O.

  I know that we can create a VM (in a different vision) folder with the same R/O permissions, but that guarantee no new virtual machines will have this permission applied if these new virtual machines are not placed in a VM file at creation time.

  It seems that on the new VM creation, the virtual machine is not inheriting the R/O permission in the folder/Cluster host. This is the expected behavior?

  I believe that the more restrictive permissions apply. I don't have that backwards?

  I should have been more descriptive.  If you have an ad group with say joe in this document, that the group is set to read only role and joe is in another group that has an administrator role, joe becomes and administrator.  If joe is added in as a user rather than a group, then the more restrictive role wins, so you are right.

  Yes the Undo tablespace is unique to each instance, node 1 cannot use the node 2 undo tablespace to store undo for its operations. If the undotablespace is full and only active blocks remain the instance emits an error for a fixed size undo tablespace. The only use that is possible on the cluster is reading another instances undo tablespace, never write about it.

  70 c are nothing special and it s normal behavior that the CPU temperature would increase if the CPU performance increase.

  AFAIK the CPU is able to last a temperature of 100 ° C.

  But if the temperature is too high then the laptop would be closed automatically to prevent damage of material form
  If the laptop still works so I guess that the temp is too high

  Watch the context-sensitive help for the function niScope Cluster.vi reading Multi, then look at the description for the terminal of time-out.  It is said to use a value of-1 to wait an infinite amount of time for data entry.  If you create a constant on the terminal, you'll see that the default value is 5 seconds.  This is why you are getting values of 0 even if there is no entry.  But if the timeout - 1, your problem should be solved.
