Clustering

Two WindowsServer 2003 ent. in a network with two storage, a node 1 and the other to node2. Is it possible to make the clusters?

The Quorum is required by the cluster to operate.

Think of the cluster as a PC / Machine full. It has a machine name and the resources entrusted to them, CPU / RAM etc. and will appear on your network as such.

It requires shared storage to operate, if a node falls down the hard drive is still available. Not if each node use its own hard drive... which deprive it of part of the interest to use a cluster - redundancy.

See the links I added to my first post, I hope that they should help you to complete your set up, looks like you have it nearby.

Not sure why I made backups of Microsoft if they don't restore because of these bad clustgers, but it is the State that I am now.

I replace the hard drive and use HP restore disks to reinstall Windows.

Back up your important data to an external storage device, the hard disk may fail completely, and you will lose everything.

  • LV OOP for an alternative to clusters?

I change the code with a large number of Boolean flags, each of them flashes when data is not valid. I need to eliminate the flashing lights. I am facing make a lot of changes to the existing property nodes, changing "Flashing" to "colors []".

I don't want to move the Boolean to a cluster because of the magnitude of work to decode the data. I'm looking for an alternative to clusters that would allow me to change the color scheme for many Boolean values with very little code. I don't see a class of controls [] for the sub-panels.

If LV OOP provides a solution to my problem, where can I go to learn the basics to cost little or not?

  • Error during transfer of an array of Clusters for LabView

    Hello

I'm new in LabView and I hope that this mistake has an easy solution.

I built a VI to check the validity of a label.  The Vi receives an array of clusters.  The cluster has 3 strings.

I built a Variable with an exact same structure in TestStand.

    I get the following error:

  • Mouseover image control does not appear when it is contained in an array of clusters.

I've been using Boolean system (with some customization) to impement mouseover animations.  For example (default values Boolean system):

Mouseover feedback works well with my UI, and most of the time everything is going great.

However, the mouseover image does not load if the Boolean value is contained in an array of clusters (a single cluster with inside Boolean or an array of Boolean works as expected):

The animation of the passage of the mouse works for a single array element in the case above (the one that was clicked more recently), but this behavior is not desirable and it seems buggy if I had to leave this on my UI such what.

So I guess I am wondering if anyone has encountered this or has no suggested work around?  The few that I thought to date (maintain a separate table for any set of Boolean control systems, verify the details myself on the mouse move event and try to update the appropriate element of the array, avoid using animations mouseover devoted entirely to this set of commands) are not all that desirable.  Although this issue could be considered in cosmetics, the user interface is very important for me because this code is that something shipped to customers.

It's LV 2011 either incidentally, so if by chance the behavior in 2012 is just let me know (this could only) is a sufficient to convert the project to the top.  If there is a DRIVE ID for this behavior and an employee OR want to share I would also appreciate that.

    Best regards

    Hi John,.

Thanks for the obvious example of this behavior. I was able to reproduce this problem in LabVIEW 2010 SP1 2011 and 2012. I couldn't find a CAR that has mentioned this unexpected behavior, so I went ahead and filed one myself. For your reference, the number of CAR is 36785, and I think I've included everything you mentioned.

    Hi all

    I found this:

Obviously, even if in a table/list or a tree, you can change the property of an individual

cells (font, color), you can't do it in a cluster network, by a kind of magic.

the property of an element of the cluster (font, color) are all connected together, so made

the use of a table without value.

A possible hack is available using masking of control, a visible setting and the

other invisble, exchanging their position, whatever. This is a hack you have to perform,

Therefore, add another code to maintain.

Is that still the case, or is it now a more formal way to manage the individual cluster

Properties, not only its data? After all it is a common example of a real life which should

managed by Labview. In my opinion.

    David Koch

    Altenbach says:

One of the elements could be an indicator of 2D about the same size image. You can create text in any color using the features of the image.

Here's what I had in mind. Seems to work very well (I would refine the border picture fonts, etc., but this should help you get started).

  • Table of clusters with graph - scale change event Y

    Hello everyone

I have an array of Clusters with a graphic within each cluster. I need raise an event when the user, type a new value to the scale of the graphs Y and press "Enter" to apply the change. Any ideas how to trigger that?

I am not considering event 'mouse enter' because I have other events related to that already.

    Thank you

    Dan07

Given that the graph is in a table, you must dynamically record the event of change of scale. Typical static records are not allowed for the elements of the array, and it is not a good reason why they cannot be admitted, that's why I created an idea for allow static event registration of items in the array. I hope you go to the exchange of ideas and vote for this idea.

  • Picture of the events of clusters - change value and the mouse down

    Hello everyone

I am facing a problem of triggering events using two arrays of clusters.

I have two paintings of clusters: A and B. There is a Boolean control within each group and to maintain the two paintings in clusters at the same index value (indexVals), the vertical scroll bar of A is hidden but the vertical scroll bar of B is visible. I was using a case with 3 cases triggered by structure: the mouse down, timeout and the mouse upwards. The case of "mouse down" feeds of terminal 1, which makes the case "timeout" the waiting period. The case of "timeout" continues to fuel terminal 1 timeout and has two property nodes (one for A and for B) makes the value of B indexVals is written on the indexVals of a. inside the case of "mouse up" it has a value of-1 for the terminal timeout, putting an end to the process. OK, it was working great. But...

Now I need to keep the same procedures described above, but I need to raise an event when the user clicks any boolean (led) change state. I thought about the event "change value", but when I click on the led to trigger the event of "change value", the "mouse down" event is also triggered.

    Any suggestions?

The real VI is a little different from what I described, but the problem is exactly the same.

    Thank you

  • Reference to the array of Clusters with an array element

    Hello

I have an array of clusters of CONTROL (qualifying as "upper-tier cluster table") with one of the items is an array of cluster cluster (see attached).

I intend to "reference" of this cluster of high level at different screws (as add item VI, insert item VI, delete the item VI etc.) and access (add/edit delete) the elements of this array.

In my code, how I cataloged the array element (cluster) on the cluster internal (as shown on the figure)?

I use LV RT on PXI.

    Hello smercurio_fc,

Thank you for your example! Just a question: actually, with shift registers, is an example of creating a local copy of the full range? Even if the value of the lowest level cluster is changed, is the complete table is updated at the end (registry value to offset the full picture at the right end is updated using the reference node and property)? This VI will be slow when the size of the array becomes great?

    Comment of nicely.

  • Table of clusters: get references to all clusters

I want to get the reference to each cluster in a cluster network and through its controls and save their values. I enclose the code that I have tried, but it only gives me the reference to a cluster that is under development. The code must be the job for any generic array of clusters.

In fact, it returns the reference to what is in the location specified by the index display. So, you can change the property of Index values to iterate through the cluster and get each subsequent reference.

You said "save their values." Save them how? Save to the folder? If values can be recalled at a later date? If so, there are easier ways to do it.  For example, you can Flatten in XML format. In addition, OpenG has a set of screws to save to the file clusters.

  • Remove the cluster of clusters table

Hi I have this program where you have an array of clusters and when you press a Boolean 'Add' button, you can add clusters to the table up to a certain limit, and it is written in a spreadsheet file. I would like also to such a function when you click on 'Remove' Boolean you can remove the cluster from the table so that the new table takes place 1 old and cluster information are removed from the worksheet so file. How can I do?

It does not need to have the cluster, use instead to build table (for best performance initialize the array and use replaces primitive subset of table). You cannot delete items in a file, but you can read the file and remove the item and he write to the file. If it is a sub VI, you add/remove items and writing to a file each time that the sub vi is called? Do not write to the spreadsheet VI file in this case, use instead write to text file primitive. See examples of LabVIEW for some useful examples on file i/o.

  • How to change the items in a drop-down list box that is part of an array of clusters

    Hello

In the attached vi, I have an array of clusters and each cluster contains two drop-down list boxes. How can I edit the items in the drop-down list box 1 for all elements in the array? (All elements of list box 1 has the same elements.)

By way of illustration, I have also included the case of trivila, for example, edit the items in a separate drop-down list box that is is not part of an array of clusters (combo box 3). Please notify. Thank you.

Right click on the drop-down list box and select Create-> Node-> String() property. Place it on the block diagram. Change to write (right click) and then feed him an array of strings.

  • Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how can I change the color individually?

Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how do I change the color of the bar individual meter for each element of the array?  I just realized that you cannot change the properties of an element of the array without changing everything.  For scale, I had to make digital for each graduation of the scale indicators so that each measure meter in the table in the cluster has individual scales.  I also had to do some calculations for each barmeter to display the correct proportions of 0 to 100% on the scale.  Now, I'm stumped on the color of the bar counter.  Basically, if the value exceeds a set value, the meter bar should turn red.  It must be in a table to be infinitely scalable.

    Thank you

    Matt

    And yet anothr approach...

Right click on the bar of > Options to fill > maximum fill.

The fill color of the same color as the background color, then make the background color transparent.

Drop a box of color BEHIND the bar and the size correctly.

He has this strange background 3D with flat bar, but what the Hey, his relatives. If its important a custom color box.

  • How to set multiple values clustered with local variable?

    Hi all

Okay, I made my way through Labview for everyone and have some basic concepts down. I can see with a cluster, if acting directly on it, you can ungroup, change values, rebundle, etc..

I try something a little more complex... and just do not know how to start on this.

I have a menu menu ring set. I created this with a typedef, with 4 values.  I used this typedef 7 times, more a few LED bool, in a cluster. I made this cluster a typedef.

Therefore, in my main vi, I started designing, I put an example posted here... and inside, I have two instantiations of the typedef cluster commands selection of left and right.

I dropped in this vi, a copy of the menu ring typedef (same typedef as in clusters, values) called reset all tubes.

Now, I am trying to understand how, with an event to change the value to 'reset all the tubes'... that I can start with the left switch and change all tubes (here is the menu ring selector) to the same value as what has been selected with the ring of menu 'Reset all the tubes'.

I created a local variable for the selector on the left. It is configured to read values. (I'll be doing the same thing with the right too, but just to start with the left).

In the examples I've seen where access to a cluster, you could ungroup the cluster... browse and change the values... maybe pull out all the "hits" in a table and go through to update the values.  And when you group or ungroup the bunch... you can see the values, etc., when you stretch on the block diagram.

With the local variable... I do not see to 'stretch' it as I expected... so I can access the values "tubes"... and all at the value of the 'reset all the tubes' ring menu value.

Someone can put me on the path on the best way to do... or is it a component structure I'm missing here?  Am that I on the right track everything first here?

It seems pretty basic to me, but miss me just something here on the way to start...

    Thank you in advance,

    Cayenne

You can't do this with a for loop of how the Department is structured, but why make it so complicated?  Just group the new value in the cluster, as shown below:

If you do not want to use a loop for example, consider the restructuring of your cluster.  Group ring and a Boolean value in a cluster, and then unmold 7 of those in the cluster of selector.  Then you can use 'cluster to the table' and 'picture of cluster' for all elements of the external cluster will be of the same type.

Also, be careful when using rings in the form of type definitions.  You probably want to use an enumeration instead.  The elements of a ring do not update the when you update the type definition because they are considered to be cosmetics. the elements of a definition of enumeration type update, because the elements of an enumeration are considered as part of the data type.

  • Table of indicators clusters

    Hello world

In my program, I have an array of clusters with controls and an array of clusters with indicators.  I created nodes of property for each table that updates the number of columns.  Each column represents a channel that is monitored on a DMM scanning.    My program works as I want to, with the exception of the battery of indicators.

I have a VI sub which checks the value measured by the DMM and determines if the device measured by the channel complied or not.  In a cluster of indicators, I have three indicators: one for the measured current, one for the time elapsed and a boolean that indicates if the device has reached a limit.  The problem is that on the screen, I don't see the values entered in any of these indicators?  I'm newish to the use of tables of clusters and which do not.  Can someone please help me to see what I'm missing?

I have attached my Subvi (LabVIEW 2015).  I know that nothing is connected to the elapsed time indicator.  I'll go to that in a bit.

    Thank you.

What indicators are not see all values on? The Output channel indicator shows correctly it seems. Output display will always be no element in the table because you start at zero and then use the Replace table VI subset to add items. This will not work because if your table has a size zero, there is no element to replace. You can use an array to initialize (initially to match the size of the array strings) or use a different method of the edition of the scoreboard.

Edit: I just noticed you do not use a very useful tool with loops: automatic indexation. This is something short of those. You can get rid of your shift registers and table manipulate nodes.
