CMD31T - 100NAS solid light of amber we 1/2 on

On my Modem CMD31T today I discovered the United States, DS and online lights orange. By resetting the modem by hitting the reset button and power off for 30 seconds - light ONLINE, turned green, as well as the lights of the DS.

However, in the United States, 1/2 orange and I presume that the 3/4 light would - currently, it shows not orange or green.

For the last five months (when I got this modem), I had problems, andTime Warner Cable has replaced both the cable going to my house and the cable under the House that connects to this modem.

Any suggestions on how to fix permanently there address? Should the modem be replaced?

I have not seen any downloadable firmware for this modem to the Netgear site and Time Warner technicians say they have done everything they can do - and the problem is with the modem?

Note: this modem connects to a desktop Windows 10.

Only 2 things that could be the cause is a poor connection to the ISP or the modem is faulty it is a little hard to tell unless your power to get your hands on another modem and the isp to test and see if it will stay online.

    Hello Masa.  I understand that you encounter some difficulties to turn on your wireless network.

    The wireless button works slightly differently in Windows 8 in previous versions of Windows.  It activates the 'airplane Mode' instead of turn turn off/on the wi - fi radio only.  Try the following to make it work as you would expect.

    1. Since the display type of Metro 'wireless '.
    2. You should see 'settings' on the right.  Select this option and it will fill several elements associated with wireless on the left side of the screen.
    3. Select "wireless" in this section.
    4. You should see a few options.  One being "Airplane Mode" and the other two being a power switch for bluetooth or wireless.
    5. Ensure that these two are turned on when airplane mode is turned off.
    6. Save the changes and reboot.

    In the research and who desire to be this resolved as quickly as possible, I found my own solution. I do not know for how long but... Here's why.

    The problem seeemed in HP connection manager, I went into preferences and activated the wifi via here.  The amber light turned to white.   I tested and it was able to connect to my email.   (YAY!)  and have access to the internet.   I use hotspot and never had a problem with it before, and now, I have also this laptop that I use for this post, and also out of my access point.    the reason why I'm saying that I don't know for how long is this...

    HP connection manager is always read that Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) is off - still my light is white and I am able to go online and sign up to my email.     ?????

    Hi, you could add another solid, just select one of the masks on the first solid, if there is a lot of keyframes, select them all, make sure that you have at the beginning of your comp to frame 1. Control X I think for the copy, or change---> copy... then select the second solid and paste, order V or go in change and then you can have a different color on this 2nd solid.

    This is a great place to visit for a community support and HP! I see that the power LED flashes when in stand bye mode and you want to know how to stop. I would like to help.

    It is a feature of the printer when in sleep mode, the power LED flashes to warn that the printer is in sleep mode. When you touch the screen the power light goes back to a solid light. There isn't any way to change this feature.

    The printer should be turned off, unfortunately.

  • Latitude E5420 dead, shows battery, white & Orange flashing battery light

    My E5420 battery appears to be dead: if I unplug the AC adapter, it is turned off.

    The battery passes Diagnostics. Diagnosis shows the battery is responsible for 74%, but wrong upward. The battery is 77%.

    When the power adapter is plugged in, the battery light flashes amber four times, then a white, again and again.

    So bad, just battery has not locked in place correctly. I took out and put back and it seems fine.

    Ordered this thing, just over a month ago (Nov 15) and now, he has stopped posting.

    When I turn it on, the fan runs at 100%, the WiFi light is solid and color amber and flashes the blue locking caps (turn on the physical key) and color. That's all.

    No display on the screen, there is no real indication that the computer starts up, no nothing.

    I removed the battery, connected using only the power supply, the battery, all without success. Can't think of any other action, devrais I be a RMA form?

    Thanks for the quick response; really disheartening to learn that the only way to correct the problem is through a RMA number.

    I think it's absolutely ridiculous that the tm2t experienced a major outage, a little more than a month (and easily < 50 hours of use) in the property. I think that it says a lot about the quality of the product sold by HP, maybe if they spent less time burning grounds flowery and more time on QC, HP would not be worse in the reliability of the laptop.

  • Orange AUX_PWR is turned on

    Recently, I completely lost wifi connection on my XPS 8700. The computer cannot detect any router. I noticed that the Realtek wireless card was missing in Device Manager. Fortunately, the Dell wireless adapter was still available. After you activate this card, reworked wifi connection. However, during this troubleshooting, I found that the aux_pwr light turned on even if I shut down the computer.

    My questions are:

    1. the Realtek wireless adaptor is dead?

  • Parameter problem to the airport Time Capsule

    Already, we currently have a WiFi system with a NetGear router and a modem from Time Warner.

    I just want to use the airport Time Capsule to back up my Mac.  My husband has a PC.  I followed the instructions but the airport still comes up in the utility.

    Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and the latest 802.11 ac 3 TB so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I plug an Ethernet cable at the airport, then in the Modem - nothing after I plug the power - Amber flashing light.  I have changed ports unplugged and plugged back in French - restart the Modem.  Nothing works.  I bought it so it would work straight out of the box - so far, I have spent a lot of time trying to understand it.

    Any help would be so appreciated!

    Airport extreme Setup Guide

    Plug your AirPort Extreme

    Before you plug your AirPort Extreme, rst plug cables appropriate to the ports you want to use:

    • Connect the Ethernet cable connected to your cable or DSL modem (if you will connect to the Internet) on port Ethernet WAN (<).

    • Connect a USB cable to the USB port (d) on your AirPort Extreme for a USB printer, a hard drive or a hub.

    • Connect an Ethernet cable from an Ethernet device to one of the ports LAN Ethernet (G). After connecting the cables for all devices, you plan to use, connect the power cord to the power socket and plug your AirPort Extreme into a power outlet. There is no power switch.

      Important: Use only the power cord provided with your AirPort Extreme.

    Laptop was fine I used perfect hibernation was very good. Selected accident sleep in vista instead of the stop. Instead of the blue light blinking amber there was no light. Now, does not start.

    Day before I have Setup keyboard n external and turned the internal wide screen monitor.
    I pulled out as it is out of warranty and isolate the problem. But the same symptom.

    Turn on. OK power light and plug pack ok. Loading ok. OK RAM.
    Dell monitor and computer says benq mobile is in economy mode and move the mouse. I checked and another laptop in the same 2 screens says switch on computer rather than the power save the message.

    This makes me think that this laptop is blocked in mode 'sleep'.
    Tried resetting the CMOS via j4 without change.

    Powers of fan OK. Fan start cool OK.
    Keyboard and the wifi light do not come.

    No screen display do not light on and ext but said screens that the appliance is in mode 'sleep' and move the mouse or press the SPACEBAR.

    Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.

    Disconnect your laptop external display, power supply and remove the battery.
    Leave it for a while, just connect the power and try to start the laptop.

  • Apple TV (3rd generation) remote control suddenly stopped working

    I used aluminum remote on my 3rd generation Apple TV for years without a single issue.  Then last night, after working fine most of the evening, it simply stopped working.  The first thing I did was to get the distance within two feet of the Apple TV, and then I was able to make it work.  To me, this indicates a battery is weakening, so I replaced it.  Same problem: Apple TV does not remotely, unless I get very, very close.  Just in case, I got a new battery, I tried a second.  Same question.

    I did a bit of digging in the community forum, and here's what I've tried:

    -restarted successfully the Apple TV via the software and then again just unplug the power cord and wait 10 seconds, but the problem persists.

    -successfully paired and re-paired remote control, but the problem persists.

    ATV shows a solid light when I push buttons, unless I come to this beach to two feet and then it flashes once as her answers ATV.

    I have looked on the IR through the camera of my iphone, but don't see any red flashes... and yet the ATV receives the signal from the remote control if it is close enough.

    Curiously, as part of my diagnosis, I noticed that the "UP" button had become insensitive, even from the beach which work the other buttons.

    I have not dropped the remote or mistreated it somehow, so can't see why it would break suddenly without reason.

    I'm puzzled.

    I would buy a new remote from Apple and try it.  They are $19.00.  If she is doing the same, the receiver IR of the ATC is responsible and return the new remote control within 14 days for a full refund.

    If it works keep the remote control.

    Problem started two weeks ago. Could not power on the laptop, tried several outlets different. Bought a laptop universal power cord/charger and it has not always worked. Removed the battery, power cord and could start on computer... Replace the battery, but the battery would not hold a charge even if the battery light was amber and the icon in the toolbar of Win: 36% available (plugged in, load). Click the icon and displays 36%, calculate... Laptop left on all night with the battery and 8 hours later, he was always at 36%. With laptop turned on, I can remove the power cord for laptop and battery will continue operating, depleting the battery but when I plug the power supply cord does not charge the battery (without green light or the light).

    Bottom line, power cord with battery and have no power (green or amber) period. Remove the battery, attach the power cord and I can start the computer.

    Ran Test systems - check the battery: primary - replace (42) and receipt failure ID: QAMPPV - 82387 T-MFGJXF-C0D703. This failure on a new battery just received two days ago. Same errors with the original battery.  Attempted a power reset without success.

    I could run cell phone using only the power cord, but that would defeat the purpose of owning a laptop. Battery-operated drain only battery with no way to recharge.

    Help! Searching the forum for the answer to my problem and found none.

    Thanks for confirming my assessment. Laptop bought in October 2013 and is not under warranty. New motherboard costs nearly one-third of the cost of the new laptop is not profitable to replace the motherboard.
