  I have a problem on the selection of the model design / architecture for a data acquisition system.

  Here are the details of the desired system:

  There are data acquisition hardware and I need to use by looking at the settings on the user interface.

  I recommend the model producer/consumer with some modifications.

  You might need three loops.  I can't tell for sure from your brief description.

  The loop of the User Interface responds to the user for configuration entries and start/stop of acquisition.  The parameters and commands are passed to the Data Acquisition loop via a queue. In this loop is a machine States that slowed, Configuration, Acquisition and stop States (and perhaps others). The data is sent to the processing loop through another line. The processing loop performs any data processing, displays the data from the user, and records to file. A registrant can be used to send the Stop command or stop the loop of the UI for other loops.  If the amount of treatment is minimal and the time of writing files are not too long, the functions of processing loop might be able to happen in the case of the UI loop timeout structure of the event.  This makes things a little easier, but is not as flexible when changes need to be made.

  I'm not sure that there is a type of design for this exact configuration, but it is essentially a combination of the models Design of producer/consumer (data) and producer/consumer (events).

  Using the SMU-6368 module, I would like to monitor the analog signal on multiple channels and trigger on several channels - relaxation and acquisition channels is all on the same device. Probably going to be sampling at 200 kHz and more. FM LV 2009 2012, with SV toolkit in Windows 7.

  If SW trigger is the only way to follow, there example code shows how to manage the block size, etc.. ?

  Yes, the example was in 2012.  I didn't get what you asked for in your first post because I didn't know you wanted to ANY channel to trigger acquisition of all channels.  It is not possible at the hardware level, because you cannot specify four channels as the command source. This will be implemented in the software.  I recommend the reading of all four channels and neglecting data until you determine that one of the channels reached your threshold value.

• Using the Serial Port for data acquisition Non-Serial

  I searched the forums and can't find anything on this topic.

  I saw that it was possible to use the parallel port for e/s digital single and I was hoping that the serial port can be configured the same. It seems all VI VISA only to use the serial port to receive ASCII characters at a given flow rate, but is it possible to simply query the status of the line series at my own speed to see if it is high or low, kind of like a single pin DAQ?

  It seems that it would be possible until the serial data are read and controlled by labview, not Windows. Let me know if you have ideas of how to approach this problem, or any comment as to why it is not possible.

  Select the property > settings series > Modem of the line parameters. For example, the State of the CTS is an entry to the pc.

  With the help of these lines is a very poor substitute for a scope or map DAQ. The only things you can return is Asserted, Unknown or Unasserted. The range of acceptable signals is important enough. Anything between + 3 and -3 is an unknown state. Your other signals is + / 3 to 15 volts. What type of signals do you really want to capture?

  Edit: there is no such thing as a visa so I have no idea of what you actually use.

  Check with the manufacturer of your system's support and their forums (if any) for known issues. Sounds
  as a question to verify material with which you bought the system on and the system
  support of the manufacturer for warranty claims. You try to fix more they will claim it's
  something you did and its probably not a usable user in any case error.

  I tried to download a program form a DVD and get the message 0 x 00000005 error said he did not run the program on the cd/dvd-rom or other removable media?   I could not also download updated program Sony... a box pops up saying the target could not be found?  Any ideas to fix this?

  More than suggests Fouzan, you could try and see if you can download your software then right click and select 'run as administrator '.
  Is the program that you try to install compatible with Windows 7?

  You can click here to see the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

  If the software is not compatible, try and run in Compatibility Mode.

  If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

  Use the following steps:

  (1) right click on the program

  2) click Properties

  3) click on the Compatibility tab

  (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

  I need my Mac operating system reloaded and now can no longer access create Suite 5.5 Design Standard after I installed it.

  What is the best way to increase the time of settling on measures Visual C++ of the PXI-6255 A to D? • How do I get the multi-function of labview for data acquisition on my toolbar function for lv2011? It is a reload of your laptop has crashed.

  I had to reload our installation of LV and have lv2011 and NOR-DAQMX 9.9.    I can't get the range of DAQ function to display the toolbar funtioon.   I tried to fix the OR-DAQMX driver.   It showed message "installation lv2012 support" and "facility charge SP1 lv2012".  I have not seen a message of support from lv2011.

  There was a problem downloading of configuration and 2012SP1 was wrong as my group of licenses for the account representative.  This has since been uninstalled before installing 2011 (without SP1).

  Updated the installation of the driver NOR-DAQMx vs repair.    Apparently, he saw the LV2011 and installed support files.   Everything works now.

  What operating system you are using? When did you notice that? Have you installed or removed any programs/games before? Are you using the embedded motherboard sound? Or you have a sound card plugged into one of the PCI slots?

• Error in Data Acquisition

  I use the DAQ assistant for data acquisition and display the data in a graphical indicator. My camera is 6221 PCI and DAQ card is CBS 6221.Now that my problem is after you run the program after that 3 - 4 times it starts to give me an error message which says as follows:

  "Attempted to read samples that are no longer available. The requested sample was already available, but has since been replaced.

  Increase in the size of buffer, most frequently the reading of data or by specifying a fixed number of samples to read instead of reading all available samples would correct the problem. »

  My acquisition mode is continuous and I'm giving samples to read a value 1000 (which I suppose than the size of buffer) and my sampling rate is 1kHz.Now if I change my samples to read a value of 10000 the chart becomes too noisy. And also at some point, the program crashes.

  I increased the sampling rate of 10K and my samples read had a value of 100, but still there was the error message.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated to eb.

  I was able to run this code without errors.  Your error is caused by this: map The DAQ is written samples to the RAM to the sampling frequency (1 K).  Your loop is pulling 100 sample chuncks.  If your loop can not read at least 1000 samples in a second, the buffer eventually replaces unread samples.  Your reference time loop to make sure that it is excuting at least 10 times per second.  Use execution of highlight to ensure that write measure filw VI is opening and closing properly.

  If you change the sampling frequency, you don't want to use the same samples to read as the sampling frequency. To read samples must always be less than the sampling frequency to allow faster than the card written loop data.  But the other stuff in the loop are causing which slows down the execution of the overal loop time, if she were to run frequently.  Make the samples to read about 80% of the sampling rate will give a good report.

  You need only the racing of the engine, the device for the device drivers, maybe need pilots VISA if you make serial or something of this nature, you may need the channels or tasks created in the measures OR and automation if you created the it.

  There may be other things you'll need depending on what you include in your code and what tool kits that you have installed.

• Executable doesn't detect data acquisition

  Hello LabVIEW community,

  I created an executable file to run on a computer that has no LabVIEW. I installed the hardware drivers on this computer (my DAQ hardware is "installed and ready to use" and detected by the computer on the plug-in). The problem is that when I run the file .exe, all my channels DAQ read just 0. The code behaves as if data acquisition is not connected or is not recognized.

  I tried the same executable on the computer where the .exe is created, and the signals are well displayed.

  Is there something special that needs to be made during the creation of executables, to ensure data acquisition channels are detected on all computers? It is perhaps a matter of configuration by computer?

  If you use DAQmx tasks or channels defined in MAX, then you must export your configuration of MAX to the target computer as well.  Your Installer can be put in place to manage the import of MAX settings during installation on the target computer.

  You should also follow the advice of crows and make sure that you implement the error handling.
