  Individual plugins can be set to "Click to play" so that they do not start automatically. You can give permission to sites allows to run plugins on a page by page basis or on a site-by-site basis.

  Open the Add-ons page for the Plugins section:

  Tools menu > Modules > in the left column, click on Plugins

  Then for Shockwave Flash, for example, or for QuickTime, change the selector "Always enable" to "ask to activate.

  • information bar slides between the toolbar and the top of the page

  Here are the exact steps I followed. I tried twice and havn't seen the questions either WinXP or Win7

  Hi Linda,.

  Looks like that launches the wrong version of the extension manager. You want that extension Manager CS5 launched (ver. 5.0).

  That said, as we work to repackage the Ps CS5 optional plug-ins so that you can manually install what need you. I'll post here when it goes live.

  I have photoshop elements 5.0 and have had no problems with it during the last years of couple that got him so far.   First, try a reset of the application preferences file.

  Check if the load correctly elements.

  (Perhaps, you pointed out items in your preferences in an external file with a native filter who belongs to another version of Photoshop or elements which can cause conflicts. Resetting the application will remove this check mark then if it works with a reset then you point the plug macros folder in another folder, and you get a shot you have a contradictory form in this folder.)

  If it is not...

  You past a native record another version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements in the folder plugin of Photoshop Elements 5.0? Have another version of the filter element or Photoshop elements will create conflicts. You can also check that you have not installed a version of Camera Raw that does not belong to your version of elements. (Camera Raw would probably give an error of Camera Raw, but something to check because it's at a standstill to plug-ins).

  Have you recently added a 3rd party plug-ins... which means that downloaded and installed a plug-in that came with elements? If so, rename them or with a ~ in front of the name.

  Check if the items begins. If Yes, you can remove ~ mark of each plug in one at a time, and then restart until you get the hang. This will tell you which plug causes elements to hang.

  Safe Mode boot removes the system caches that can help after upgrading to a new OS X.

  Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

  1. Start or restart your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

  To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

  Then try Safari. I hope that the Finder cannot quit unexpectedly or the other.

  I have some add-ons that I would install that appear to install but whenever FF is restarted, there is no sign of them. Tab Mix Plus and NoScript are case-specific.
  I had to do a system restore due to an update of the sloppy application. This left FF without TMP or NoScript and unable to install. I think I need reset FF, but I WILL NOT DO so UNTIL I KNOW MY PLUGINS ARE SURE TO DELETED, or HOW to GET ENOUGH information TO REINSTALL THE.

And yet I have it and use it! Maybe the message actually means that I can't upgrade to the latest version? But also I don't know if I should go ahead and try to download plug-ins up to date.   I spent most of the morning trying to update my Silverlight plugin to the latest version (5.1.10411.0) of the old version which has blocked now (5.0.61118.0). I tried several downloads and installations, with the plugin disabled and disabled it, and I manually deleted files to delete to manually uninstall Silverlight, Microsoft says:

  Finally, I created a new user on my Mac, opens Firefox in this user and discovered that the Silverlight plugin has been upgraded (5.1.10411.0). I restarted the Mac, open my regular user and profile Firefox... and the Silverlight plugin shows always also (5.0.61118.0).

  I'm sure it's just a plist somewhere which is not updated. Any ideas of what I can short constantly tearing files, reinstall and hoping for the best?

Honestly, this is the last massive update for Firefox, I use, at all, if it goes in V7. There is probably no perceptible change to the basic user, other than boredom, growing deep and infinite. Indeed, since the R4, I had problems with the Google toolbar. A product since then, they have opted for lower development, as reiterated in no small part because of these changes. You can list for me the specific code changes that were absolutely * necessary * for these future updates that caused the toolbar become too much work for the support of Google?

  I realize this is a free product and you have actually taken in charge of the only user. I can say, however, that I tried to repel the gripes and complaints, and some other friends of mine after having "sworn" FF for years. If this continues, I happily switch to Chrome support instead and not look back.

  Most of the modules don't need any changes updated Firefox; developers just need to test them and mark them compatible with the new version. For the modules distributed by Mozilla, compatibility testing is performed automatically. However, the modules distributed by other means need to be updated by their developers for each version. We cannot force the developers to do this, but we are working on ways to make it easier. We know that it is a major problem for many users.

  Many modules such as the Google toolbar were not actually broken by Firefox 5 or 6 and actually will work correctly if you select them with the Add-on Compatibility Reporter. But given that Google has stopped maintaining their toolbar, you might be interested in this list of modules taken in charge that can be replaced.
