Coersian point on 'stop if True '.

OK guys, what on EARTH is happening here!

It is almost impossible to avoid points of constraint in the latest versions of LabVIEW as a typedef is today perceived as different from its underlying type. They also alert you that your data type selected is not optimal or appropriate for a certain function. It is always best to avoid constraints/conversions. Choose a correct early if possible data type.

  • in what version of labview the ' stop if true ' condition become available for while loops?

    The answer to this question would mainly just my own curiosity, although it would also help to explain why some LabVIEW programs I have others that have been written in previous versions have strange as constructions invert a Boolean condition before it is wired to the 'continue if true' (when obviously they could have just wired the condition directly to a ' stop if true ').

    Not sure 100% but he could LV 6. I 6i on a virtual machine and it's there, and I don't remember having this feature available in LabVIEW 5.

  • pointer that stopped working on the side of the wife of the computer

    As long as I'm on my side of the computer, the pointer works. When we move to users next to my wife, the pointer will start to move and then stop and nothing what to do he'll move again. What could be the problem?

    Create another user account exactly of the same type as your wife's account.
    Logon to the new account > the cursor does work?

    If so, I would say that your wife is corrupted.
    Here's how to treat the damaged profile (account):

  • Remove symbol points or stop?

    Hello!

    I am currently doing the game design at the University and have recently begun to look 3 action script. I'm not too bad and can usually find the answer to what I'm looking for, but it only has really left me speechless. I want to add an element to a game that I do it so that when it is hit it gives a few points and disappears. We were taught to do this (so far) with hitTestObject and I'm having a problem where I can get the symbol of the element to disappear but I'm still in the position I still earn points. I tried to look for it, but I'm not finding something that works. So, any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to throw this laptop out the window right now

    This is what I have for my 'play' now, please excuse something crazy I'm just learning action script and have probably something crazy in there

    If the character key piece
    If (thief_mc.hitTestObject (coin_mc)) {}
    If (internship. Contains (coin_mc))
    removeChild (coin_mc);
    increase of 5 points
    score += 5;
    score_txt. Text = String (score);

    }

    Is it possible to stop at 5 points for the symbol or remove it to stop any other vantage point of being?

    Oh, you are missing a hug:

    If the character key piece
    If (thief_mc.hitTestObject (coin_mc)) {}
    {if (internship. Contains (coin_mc))}
    removeChild (coin_mc);
    increase of 5 points
    score += 5;

    score_txt. Text = String (score);

    }

  • [4.0 AI2] Without stopping at the points of stop/does any debugger

    When running the debugger in SQL Developer is the debugger immediately connects then disconnects after executing the code WITHOUT stopping at breakpoints or the debugger crashes and only what I choose is to end or for a break.

    The first question that happens much more frequently. I'm trying to debug a procedure in a package where the there are several breakpoints in the code, including at the beginning. After checking my tables in which the procedure is on before and after running the debugger, I can see that the data has been changed so that the debugger ran through the process and run the code without stopping. I have checked the very simple code where the code of breakpoint was called and had the same result.

    The debugger output:

    Process is complete.

    Disconnecting from the database layout Pro.

    Debugger disconnected from the database.

    Thanks in advance,

    James

    Some basic questions.

    Have you compiled for debug?
    Certainly are breakpoints on lines of code? He has had problems in the past where line numbers are off by one that looks like code is actually a blank line, or a statement.  Try several breakpoints on consecutive lines to be sure.

    You can also set the preference tools |  Preferences | Debugger | Start debugging Option to ' get in '.  That should be limited to the first executable line.

  • Points to stop and CVI2013 f1

    See attached example:

    • Build the project
    • Place a breakpoint at line 56 of callback.c (this line is never executed because SAMPLE_BREAKPOINT is defined as 0)
    • run
    • the breakpoint moves by clicking on it and cannot be deleted

    Hello vix!

    Your guess is correct. There is a problem known to exist regarding this problem that was introduced in 2013 CVI. We are dealing with this bug, and a fix should be available soon, in the next version of the CVI. The bug for this problem report is described by CAR ID 409933.

  • Help with the efficiency of the program, stop a loop for?

    Hi all

    I need some advice programming General to help my VI to operate more effectively.  I have a table in which the program runs each point and 2d compares the value for the surrounding points.  The user can select the range of cells to inspect range, so if the user selects 1, then, it will compare the point (0,0) to all cells in a single cell.  If the user selects 2, then all the cells in a range of cells 2 and so on.  If the point (0,0) is superior to everything around him, then he writes this point in a table.

    I made more notes in the VI to explain what is happening, but I think that the program would be more effective if I could stop a for loop to run as soon as it detects a false condition, i.e. the point (0,0) is not more than one of the surrounding points.  As it is right now, it compares at all points around him, writing TRUE/FALSE for a table, then checks if all conditions are TRUE.  That takes a lot of time if the user selects a value of 8, for example.  It would reduce a lot of processing time if he just threw to the next point as soon as it finds a FALSE condition.

    Any other advice would be appreciated as well.  Try to be a more effective programmer!

    Thank you!
    Alex

    I do not attach the data file, because it is too big.

    In versions before the invention of the loop For with conditional stay terminal, you can do it, but you have over what a while loop to stop when your condition is True, OR when the terminal i is equal to the size of the incoming array - 1.

  • VI of hand stops fucntioning after as I open and close a Subvi to a structrue event.

    Hello

    I try to open a pop up vi of an event. I've been struggling with this for a while now. When I open a pop up vi and close it, the main vi stops correctly.

    I narrowed down it to the fact that the event that reminds the Subvi is never ending when the Subvi is closed.

    The attached picture is an example of what I'm doing. When I run the present, I never see the dialog box indicating "here.

    may be useful as an allusion to the problem...

    This does not work correctly if I run the vi, click to open the Subvi, close the Subvi (here the main vi is not working properly, do not click on anything whatsoever) then stop the main vi, run the main vi has even once, open and close the Subvi and then I see the dialog 'here '. , and my main vi works correctly.

    Thank you

    J

    What actually happens, is press you the Ok button and your panel closes and you set the stop 2 true.  OK, it's fine except that the stop Terminal 2 has already been read during this iteration of the loop.  So the loop will go again.  This time, it is read stop 2 to a REAL, but the structure of event needs an event before the loop can fill.  But the façade was already closed and you're stuck.

    As Dennis said, get rid of the 2 stop and just wire the TRUE constant straight out of the case of the event.  Wire a FALSE for all other cases of event.

  • Why the STOP button does not stop this vi?

    Hello

    I took an example of Labview 2011 called "soul hollow period-Low Freq 1 Ctr.vi. This example vi measures one period, but, I want to measure the period over and over again, so I put it in a WHILE loop, but the STOP button does not stop at the vi.  Instead, I have to use ABORT to stop the vi...

    How can I stop this vi?

    Dave

    It does not replace the time-out.  The while loop is a separate beast from the meter reading.  You wouldn't want your loop due to always make you miss the error messages, would you?

    Usually just clear the error message of time-out on the counters.

    You get the message twice because the loop runs in fact twice.  The first time the stop button is read as false as soon as the loop begins.  Then you click on it.  At the same time that it takes 10 seconds for the timeout counter to occur - when he does it gives you the error.  Then, the loop runs again.  This time it reads the key stop as true, because you clicked on it during the timeout of 10 seconds of the last loop.

    A time loop allows everything inside to complete execution before the end, then you will have to wait for an another timeout of 10 seconds to occur which produces another error.

    Unless you need a measure of very, very low frequencies I set your time-out to a more reasonable number and simply erase the mistake if it matches 200474.
