Windows 8 endless start - points never stop turning

windiws 8 endless start - points never stop turning

Hello everyone, a week has passed since my pc (toshiba - Windows 8 enterprise) began to give me this strange problem: when I start the computer, the startup never goes after the windows logo screen and the rotation of the points. .. the computer starts only in Mode safe...
I tried to start with "Enable Boot logging" and when I turned off and restarted the pc in safe mode, the ntbtlog.txt file contained a lot of "BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED".

I have attached the file here ntbtlog.txt

Thank you for your help

  • Noron 360 sometimes cannot be started on Windows 8 when starting after a stop!

    Hello

I have a desktop computer running Norton 360 first Edition version (current) 20.4.0.44 with the latest definitions for viruses on Microsoft Windows 8 Professional with Media Center. Norton 360 , sometimes fails to start on Windows 8 , when starting after a stop.

Since I first installed the new version of 'version-less' 2013 Norton 360 on Windows 8, it sometimes does not start at startup after a stop and did not bother to mobilize support for that matter because I thought that Symantec or Microsoft could be aware of the problem and that an update or a patch will be available soon. Norton 360 prompted me to apply a new patch today, and after applying the patch, I have realized that the amended version of the version 20.3.0.36 to version 20.4.0.44. Moreover, I also noticed that the aforesaid problem with Norton 360 persists, and if my memory is good, Norton 360 sometimes also does not start after the resumption of hibernation. I used to put the computer to sleep and I never have this issue when hybrid sleep. For Norton 360 upward and run again, I usually just give the computer a reboot.

I believe that the function "quick start" in power options Windows 8 are originally Norton 360 sometimes fails start. I haven't noticed this problem on computers that are running Windows XP or Windows 7. If Symantec or Microsoft may arrive at a solution to this problem without having to turn off the quick start of Windows 8feature, I would be very grateful!

    Hi Doug,.

Kindly let me know what Norton product, you try to use, and if download you the latest version of the internet, or you install a version earlier than either downloaded or a disc? Please also post the specifications of your computer and operating system incl. architecture and the edition you are running.

Regarding your question: are you affected by the same problem that I did? Only Norton only lack of start from time to time, or Norton fails it run continuously?

If Norton sometimes does not start on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 8:

Disable the "quick start" function in Windows 8 by going to the bar of charms > settings > Panel > material and audio > Power Options > Choose this as the power button , then click on change settings that are currently unavailable, uncheck the enable fast start (recommended) and click on save changes. Restart your computer to test if Norton starts up. If Norton still does not start, uninstall Norton completely, restart your computer, download and run the latest version of Norton removal tool from Symantec website, computer restartyour once more. Then download the latest version of your Norton product either downloading the trial, or you connecting to your Norton account if you have a valid subscription and clicking on the button to download next to your subscription. Install the latest version of your Norton product and manually run the direct updated until all the updates and hotfixes without restarting have been installed and no updates are available before stopping or restarting your computer!

If Norton does not at all on a computer running Microsoft Windows 8:

Uninstall Norton completely, restart your computer, download and run the latest version of the Norton removal tool from Symantec website, computer restartyour once more. Dear Mr RajithR
Thank you very much for your support. I use eset antivirus.
but seems that I solved the problem already in this way

I always check the side windows desktop update option.
and as I said the audit of the green line never stop

    > then I select windows update in the 2nd menu of windows 8
on the left side change configuration pc, so I'll find windows update on this side of the menu,

  • HP Envy 15 i7 window 8/8.1 - FAN never stop

    Hello

I use this new PC, everything is ok, but the fan NEVER cease.

I mean, as when the PC is idle, no activity, in a cold environment, the screen is off.

I think (as in my previous laptop) that the fan would be responsible if the temperature is not too hot while here it sems that he simply never stops.

The noise is quite always the same (it isn't one more question in addition to noise or speed), but I would like to know if there are a few settings (which I have not yet found) for a peaceful solution.

    Thank you very much

    Hello manageri,.

The processor fan is designed to run continuously. Even in a cooler environment, the processor can reach alarming temperatures. A processor may have a longer duration if there's a lower temperature.

If you find the fan turns entertaining, you will have solutions to reduce the speed in which it runs. "Reduce the fan noise'and'why computers generate heat, for your information."

  • Windows 7 Ultimate. Computer never stops when windows update is running.

I recently got windows 7 ultimate system and with the exception of two questions im love it.

The big one, is that, since at least two to three weeks every time the automatic windows update installs something windows closed, never stops.

I think the updates are installing, windows just hangs after the update is complete. (history of update of windows said that they where successful)

The screen will tell me its 1 installation of updates for a few minutes.

then it will say that its closure, that she will never be.

I had all the hardward checked and from what I've read, somehow this file has disappeared and now my computer will not boot. Tried all I can think about. Any ideas?

    Hi novstarzz,

There seems to be a hardware problem, I suggest you to the manufacturer of the computer to contact for assistance on this issue.

  • I'm having the same problem with windows 7 problem is that he stops, turning off without warning at different times

I tried to close the time downs, tried to see what that the aid program was same and various other things nothing is worm the same is just out

It could be a temperature problem.  Go to http://www.download.com and download SpeedFan.  It will tell you what are the internal temperatures.  If base temperatures under 50 degrees C, you are very good, over 65 is a problem and between two bears watching.

If not, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log.  To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools.  Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and it puts regular periodic updates.

    > My question is, is - this easy to fix & if not where is the best place to consider to get fixed. Said I was pretty dense

I think its easy to correct, but you'd need a Toshiba recovery disc.
Have you created one in the past?

If not, try to start the HARD drive recovery: turn on the device, press F8. Now choose fix my computer.
Now new window should open, and here you must select Toshiba HDD recovery option. This would create the laptop back to factory settings.

In case this isn't possible, you will need to boot from a recovery disk to reinstall the system.

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need the help of a
real computer store (not of leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other department stores) or the system
    Support from the manufacturer.

  • Once I turned on the computer I got the following message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged. System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

I just download Microsoft Office 2010 Professional and then turns off the computer with XP operating system. Once I turned on the computer I got the following message:

    Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged;

    System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD

Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.

Then, I started the computer with the Original installation CD and press 'r' by following the instructions. Then, I received this message:

    1: C:\WINDOWS

Which Windows installation you want to connect?

    (to cancel, press enter)

    What do I put here?

You must first start on doing something so USB drive a bootable Hiren.

    Here's how:

I'll recommend you use Hiren boot CD (it will go also to a flash/USB stick/USB).

It's good for you, because there a lot of tools more on that on the Recovery Console CD of XP, doesn't your administrator passwords and you will not have to futz round in your BIOS, if any afflicted system has SATA drives - Hiren can deal with this.

You will have a bunch of great tools that you have in XP... Recovery Console an editor of the register, adjustable password and an office that resembles Windows XP so you will feel comfortable flexibility.

You can easily copy your personal data (documents, pictures, music) to an external drive.

A system of work, start by downloading the latest version on Hiren Boot CD from here (it is a substantial download but worth it):
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/    (look to the bottom of the page).

Unzip the Hiren to a folder where you can find it.  There's a Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have to then.

Hiren was instructed to make a bootable USB drive that you can use, but it takes you first burn the .iso to a CD image file and a few other measures, so I suggest another way and here's how:

Download RUFUS 1.3.2 or whatever the latest version is here (read a few things on the page so you can learn more on this subject):

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/

I will warn to be careful that don't accidentally format you a hard disk - don't forget your USB key is in and know what the drive letter!  This part makes me still a little nervous, so be careful.

Launch of RUFUS and all default values should be fine for the device, choose letter of your USB drive, quick tag format FAT32, it if you want and in the Format options box, click on the little icon that looks like a CD and a window will open.  Navigate through this dialogue to point to the folder that contains the Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have unpacked above and the box should change to say the image ISO (RUFUS includes the Hiren ISO file).

Double check you have the right device selected in the top (NOT you HDD) click Start, acknowledge receipt of the warning and let it finish (it will take a little time) it copies the files.   Hiren ISO is also a good size.

When RUFUS is finished, it will say "DONE" at the bottom.

Put the USB in the afflicted machine and reset/reboot and regardless of the button you press to get a boot menu where you can select the USB drive as first boot device (it's F11 for me).  If you do not see a start menu choice, you will need to set your BIOS to boot from USB first instead of the HARD disk.

When the Hiren menu displays, choose the XP Mode of Mini and it will start loading (slowly from a USB key) and finally, you should see a windowsy looking for office.  You should recognize the part and feel uncomfortable, but it is not your office - the office of the Hiren!

Remember: you do not start on your hard drive, - you started in the Office of the Hiren.

A way to check the drive for errors is to open my computer and right-click on your afflicted player and choose Properties, tools, error, check checking now... put a check mark in the boxes and then start.

Sometimes that works, then you can also click on start, run and in the type box:

    cmd

Click OK to open a command prompt window and enter the following command (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive)

    CHKDSK c: /r

This disk check can last a long time (perhaps several to several hours) depending on the size of the volume, the amount of data on the volume and what the disk check finds to do.  You may need to run more than once.
