Have a Laserjet 3380.  When the top is closed, the dispay reads "Door open ADF" and it will not scann.  But, when I opened the top of the screen indicates "Ready" and it will scan.  Everything is full in front of what it should be.  It used to work fine.  Don't know what he does do the reverse.  It's like a switch that detects if the top is opened or closed has been reversed.  This 3380 is not connected to a PC, just one phone line.

Frprinterwiz, I checked the 3380 and it seems that the problem is inside the machine.  And it is out of warranty.  However, it will scan with the top facing upwards so I'm OK with that.  It is used in a warehouse setting and we never use the ADF in any case.  As much as I fear, case closed.  Thank you. cedricfandjip

  • Impossible to install optional HP Laserjet 3380 Win7 64-bit driver released on 16/12/12.

Windows Update offers me an update for the driver for my HP Laserjet 3380, which was released on December 16, 2012. However, I can't install it with Windows Update. This driver is identified with the "laserjet PCL5 hp3380." There are four functions of the unit identified on the Hardware tab of the properties of this multifunction device window. I am able to identify drivers for 3 of them, which are as of 10/01/02, 21/06/06 and 06/21/06. When I tried to update manually, I was told that they were up to date.

HP says to get drivers Win7 from Windows Update, so there is no help from the manufacturer for it.

Sometimes Windows Update will offer drivers you have installed already and are not necessary.

If your hardware is working properly, you can ignore these updates. Right click on each of them in Windows Update, and then click hide update. You will not see them.

    Hello

I assume you are using the USB connection.

While the product is connected to your Mac, click the Apple, then software update.

Be sure to select and install the HP Printer Drivers 2.8 update.

Once the update is installed successfully, in System Preferences > print & scan and click on the Plus sign to add the printer.

If the driver update fails to install in next software update so manually install the package below:

    http://support.Apple.com/downloads/DL907/en_US/HPPrinterDrivers2.8.dmg

Now try adding the printer once more.

The name of the 32-bit driver is different from the name of 64-bit driver.  You create a Local Port which will basically copy the formatted print data from the part of xpmachine.

This is the KB how to perform this task
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/282842

    on Windows 7
    Add a printer
    Local printer
    Add to the local path
\\XPMACHINE\printersharename (make a word share name or you must ' "quote all)

Select the installed driver if you have connected the USB device

    Complete the wizard

    test page printed.

    Hi @WadeDunham,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you have a broken with your printer LaserJet CP1025NW part. I am pleased to see that for you!

According to the site http://partsurfer.hp.com/ , this part doesn't seem to be available. Most likely, if there is a piece broken with the printer, the printer itself will need to be replaced/repaired. Please contact HPtelephone support for further assistance. • Rollers which collects the paper in my Photosmart C5280 printer make any movement.

I have cleaned the rollers, checked the settings, changed the paper, dusted off the printer, but rolls that are supposed for the paper do not move, and the printer gives me a message 'Out of Paper' and do not print.  Any suggestions?  He is an all-in one Photosmart C5280, running on Windows XP, directly connected to the computer.

If the entry of paper rolls do not move, then it is possible there is something stuck in it or the sensors that control are having a problem.

    * I start by remove all paper from the paper tray and check at the front and the back of the printer to make sure nothing is caught in the rollers

    * Hard Reset the printer by unplugging the unit while it is turned on, wait 30 seconds and plug it back to.

Thus, there is a document provided by HP with the steps to resolve when a printer does not have paper in the unit.  The document can be accessed here.

    I hope this helps.

  • Noises grinding hard when I record

I tried my rocket to record myself when I practice (classical) music. Sometimes I have a shrill noise every now and then when I play back and other times it's beautiful. The noise lasts a fraction of a second, but he is very strong. This isn't a mechanical sound - I tried to put it on a soft cloth to isolate vibrations, but there are still times. Any ideas what this could be?

In addition, there is no way to change the frequency of sampling for recording is here?

    Thank you

Just to close the loop on this thread, it looks like the update of the firmware (1.01.15) fixed the problem! I was delighted to see they're addressing this, I thought it was a hardware limitation.

  • A noise grinding, does not start

When I turned on my laptop this morning (HP G20 - 257 CL, SN2CE9135LGS) it came normal initially then suddenly there's a plaintive sound, like a bearing went bad or something dragging on a spinning disk. I immediately turned off the computer. When I try to put it back on again once I get a message that there is no start address... Insert a floppy disk, and I still have the noise. I suppose the hard drive went and trying to decide whether to repair or replace. Looking for some advice/info... what it cost to replace the drive hard if I send it in HP or can you recommend a repair service in my area (zip code 49327)

    EA,

I'm glad to hear that you were able to save your files.  Once the new hard drive is installed, you can boot from the recovery disks and the recovery will go through the process of partitioning the hard drive and installing Windows, drivers, and applications.

  • collection of paper does not

HP officejet pro 8600 more... held for 7 months, it indicates that the paper source is empty.  It's not picking up the paper.  I cleaned the rollers and went through the tutorial without result.

    Welcome to the printerisnotpri forums!

I saw your post on your 8600 JO do not pick up the paper. I understand that you have followed a tutorial about it, however, I suggest reading on troubleshooting guide below to ensure that you have tried all the steps for this issue.

' A ' Out of paper ' or 'Choose the motor at a standstill' message and the printer not picking up or feeding of the paper in the main tray

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

  • Fixing collection of paper Photosmart B210 serial numbers

I've seen a few recent posts on the boards where members have problems with the paper feeding machine and pick up of the status bar.  The General steps we'd take to solve this problem is to:

    • Check the print settings
    • Perform a reset
    • Check the status of the paper
    • Clean the printer rollers

The order of these steps may vary depending on the supporting documents and the model of the printer. I incorporate a video of this troubleshooting process for one of the most common printers HP Photosmart B210. It will illustrate and give specific details on how to perform the steps of troubleshooting on this issue.

I hope this helps the community.

  • spots on the sides of the paper LaserJet Pro 400

We have here at the hospital have a number of HP Pro 400 color printers. We are having issues has to do with jobs down the margin of the book right and sometiens on the left margin. Looks like it will not clear until we replace all tonics, not only the origin of the problem. I must be missing something in my diagnosis. The answers to this question?

    Thank you

    Paul

No answers, but you have a strange situation.

Tasks are normally a cartridge, but if you change this cartridge in a new cartridge does the same I would not have a good explanation for this.

The only issue I have is that are these reloaded cartridges?

And I guess a follow-up question would be if say the yellow cartridge was leaving tasks and you succeeded him and then had to replace all the others to make the new cartridge yellow stop to let tasks what happens if you put the original yellow cartridge in?
