  The HP Color Laserjet Pro M252N Featuer software complete is not supported on Windows XP, however you can get the features of the printer using HP PCL 6 Universal Print Driver listed on page 9 of the User Guide, be aware that the Service Pack 3 must be installed on the operating system to use the printer:

  1. Go to the Windows store
  2. Search for "HP AiO Remote" apps
  3. Install the apps.
  4. Apps should detect your wireless printer, depending on the applications, there is a function "Scan."

  any idea on when the pilot comes out?  At this current Hewlett Packard is FORCING me to stay with windows 7 when I'd rather be with windows 8.  I offered to beta-test of the driver, nothing helps.  Heck, I have windows 8 dual boot with windows 7.  There will be nothing to switch back.

  I know im not the only one who is a little irritated to the point that a driver is not yet available.  Ive checked the site several times a week to discover the same old same old problem.  According to them, that the work around will not work either.  So where it leaves its customers.  IM one of the lucky ones who have started to double.  But the person who already has this printer and goes and buys a new computer with windows 8.  they have a Clipboard.  It seems to me that it keeps rushed to come.  February, then March, then April, spring now.

  I have to go and buy a new printer or not?  Let us your customers linger no more.  Not a happy camper.  But I will say this.  I bought printers for over 20 years.  I've never owned a lexmark printer.  The rest have been HP.  Now a Samsung or a cannon like attractive mighy.

These drivers are developing not only HP, but they are developed in collaboration with Microsoft. There are also a number of factors that contribute to the order in which the drivers are available in which are mainly determined by the relative age of the printer and approximate users who are affected by the present. The drivers are prioritized by the impact they will have among our many users.

  A year ago, the right side of the printed page was fuzzy when printing in color. (the black and colors were neither Kaleidoscope)  I called HP and was told that I needed a new printer, but I came to buy more cartridges so I changed the controls in order to print in black only.  Has been fine, but now the printer tells me that he needs a magenta cartridge and does not print even though I only print in black.  Is it possible to make 'ignore' the need for a color cartridge?  I won't spend $100 + dollars on the cartridges of colour that I can't use. Help!

  The printer should automatically print black only when a cartridge is empty, unless it's obviously the black cartridge.  Some error messages will cause this does not work well.  What is you get the exact error message?  It can be something that can be worked around, and it may not depending on the exact error you get.

  When installing drivers or software support for a device, it's always a good idea for the installation software right click and choose run as administrator. Acknowledge the UAC confirmation and provide credentials if requested.

It will try to start windows then goes to a blank black screen with the cursor, then it says windows could not start and will now restart then it collects info Driver_Power_State_Failure.   When you print anything that uses the cartrdidge magenta, magenta colour not aligned with the others. I had this problem in the past and have run some utilities from the Toolbox. However, the Toolbox freezes when I open it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software and drivers, but the same still. My guess is that the leaves to uninstall a registry record that's why relocation is not successful? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
