  I was able to recreate what you see.   I managed to work around it by installing a different driver that is also supposed to be compatible with the CLJ3600.

  Please consider trying this as a possible solution:

  (1) uninstall the driver CLJ3600 by opening printers and fax machines, driver selection and right-click on it and select Delete.  Once it is removed, right-click on an empty space in the windows printers and faxes and select Server properties.  Click the driver tab, click the CLJ3600 and then click on remove.

  One when you're done, restart, and then install the CLJ3500 driver.  This is a previous version of the driver that has been implemented for the CLJ3600 and is compatible with the CLJ3600.

  After installation, try printing again.

  The output I have indicates it will print is more negative.  Please let me know if you have success.

  One caveat about this solution.  The Color LaserJet 3500 doesn't support duplex.  Of workaround only works for two printing on the package of basic or the Color LaserJet 3600 N.

  I have a fully connected MS Windows 8.1 box that I am trying to add a HP Color LaserJet 3600n printer.  The printer shows in the window "Devices" (settings-> PC-> PC and devices-> devices settings), but not in the Panel "View devices and printers" window.  When I try to add the printer, it does not show in the menu "add the driver", so I downloaded the driver from the HP website.  I guess now I need to use the option "have disk", but I have no idea where the driver has been installed!

• Color LaserJet 3600n's standard paper tray

  We have a Color LaserJet 3600, who had a problem with the standard paper tray being stuck.  Could not get out until we were able to get inside the machine and press the metal plate that makes up the paper when the drawer is in the printer.  After we got him we found a small piece of plastic broken on the end of the right side of the metal plate that sticks through the plastic side of the tray (see picture).  Someone know where I can get this plastic piece without having to buy the whole set?

  In general these tidbits on the bins of paper, like this one, is not available by themselves. We can check the HP parts store to see if the part is available, but probably it will take to get the tray as a single unit.

  With the OfficeJet Pro 8600, it is quite similar. The printer starts loadin page. After a few minutes the printer push the empty pages. In both cases the Mac lost the connection to the printer for a while. After a few minutes the connection is established.

  A response in the German forum was helpful:

  • reset the printing system
  • Reinstall the printer HP (HPPrintDriver3.0.dmg) update

  The HP Color Laserjet Pro M252N Featuer software complete is not supported on Windows XP, however you can get the features of the printer using HP PCL 6 Universal Print Driver listed on page 9 of the User Guide, be aware that the Service Pack 3 must be installed on the operating system to use the printer:

• LaserJet 1600: problem with printing on color laserjet 1600

  I just replaced all color cartridges, but the left side of the print is faded.  I cleaned it up, and I don a supplies status page.  black and cyan colors print correctly.  yellow - the left third of the color bar is faded to white.  Magenta hardly shows in color at all.

  Problem running on this series with the Magenta.  Yellow it is possible also, but more than likey you have a bad toner.  See instructions attached on how to fix.  A lot of work but not so hard.  Usually I leave the track of wire black plastic which crosses the upper part as it is a bear to get back up and is not necessary.  A couple of tie wraps will do the trick.
