My newly purchased printer HP LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw don't have a widget to Scan on the printer screen. So, I can't scan and send it to email directly, without having to turn on a computer.

Can you please help me, thanks.

    Herza

    Hi @Herza,

I see by your post that you would like to know how to scan from the control panel of the printer to send. I would like to help you today. Please select "Acceptable Solution", if these measures help to solve this problem. Thank you.

This model is not the function of scan from the control panel. You must use the HP scanner on a computer to scan software.

This document provides the steps for scanning on Windows 7. HP LaserJet multifunction printers - how to scan (Windows 7). You can use the HP scanning software to scan a document and then send it to the email.

But you can install an APP on the printer itself called "Scan to Email".

Once you register with www.hpconnect.com, you can add the APP.

Click on add a device under the devices tab.

Put in the claim code you printed to register and add the printer.

Click the Services tab, then click on the sign - on the right side.

Select your printer from the drop-down list.

Then scroll to the application called "Scan to Email".

Click on add to my printable cards.

Now you should have an icon on the screen of the printer under APPS, called "Scan to Email".

I hope this helps. If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below. Thank you.

  • LaserJet MFP M277dw Pro: Windows installs its own printer driver after failure of wireless printer, print

It is a problem really bizzare, I will try to explain as clearly as possible what happened:

    • I have 277dw LaserJet MFP Pro, which is connected to my PC via wireless network. I installed the drivers from HP and everything worked as a watch movement - printing and scanning.
    • Yesterday, the power is out for about 30 minutes. Computer stayed on thanks to UPS, but the printer power loss.
    • Once the power was restored to the printer, printer initialized and I was able to access his page of HTTP status without problems. All the parameters of the printer has persisted. Same IP address. Printer all self-tests pass. However, I have lost the ability to print (printer shows more as an option in the print dialog boxes). Scanner works as usual, save the scan to a network folder.
    • The State of device HP icon has disappeared from the taskbar.
    • A bunch of new entries titled "NPIF7BB8E (MP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw)" appears in the Device Manager. This 'new' device appears in the Device Manager 5 times under different categories of devices (see attached screenshot). In the Event Viewer, I discovered that Windows installed for this device right when the power has been restored to the printer.
    • Under control panel-> hardware and sound-> devices and printers, all devices installed by HP are grayed out and their status is not connected.
    • Restarting the computer does not resolve this issue.

Anyone have any ideas on what is happening here? It's the second time this has happened - I was able to fix the first time by reinstalling the printer drivers. However, I don't want to have to do every time the failure. This looks like a bug in Windows or the drivers.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Most likely your operating system is set to automatically install the drivers, when the lost connection the WPS driver build has been added.

Try these steps and check if that helps:

    1. In Control Panel, select network and Internet.
    2. Open the network and sharing Center.
    3. Search your active network profile, it appears just below the name of the network (for example Private Network, work network)
    4. The side pane select change advanced sharing settings.
    5. In the profile category, uncheck 'automatically enable the configuration of the connected network devices '.
    6. Click on save to confirm.
    7. Devices and printers remove any element M277 printer), as well as Device Manager (remove the two original HP or WPS item, you should see is no longer the M277.)
    8. Once select start > all Apps > HP > HP Laserjet M277 and select the shortcut to reconfigure the device, it can appear as the printer software installation & connect a new printer, etc.

    Hope that helps,

    Shlomi

  • M177fw MFP: Color Laserjet MFP M177fw Pro do not leave the page logo star HP & energy and go to the home page

I have a HP Color Laserjet Pro M177fw MFP multifunction printer.  When I power on, I get the HP & Energy Star logos on the touch screen of the printer, but then it crashes and the screen lights up.  My MacBook Pro will see the printer (I'm wired to it via a USB cable) and it will start to print, but crashes at halfway trhrough sending data from the computer to the printer.  Is there a way to reset the printer to its default settings (first anniversary)?

    Hi Audiomic,

I can provide some measures that could help solve the problem.

    1. try to reset the printer. Powered on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer, then wait 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it back on the power. Wait for the printer to initialize.

    2. If the problem persists, try to download and install the latest version of the software package. The most recent update is 20160525.  You can find the update here. Click Download and follow the instructions to install the update via the USB port.

    3. If the update does not work, I recommend this HP forum thread going and asking that the support agent send you instructions to perform a NVRAM reset.

This last step is the only way I know to do a factory reset if the screen is frozen.

  • LaserJet MFP M177fw Pro: Pro LaserJet MFP M177fw can't print in color

I recently bought a new printer and decided to go for the color option. I am wanting to set up so it appears only in black because I only print in color occasionally! I've changed all the settings that I can see and put them in black and white, but always through a program called bistrack, which he still print in color! I've even increased the low threshold of are color cartridges and said to the printer to print in black when the threshold is reached... but still, it prints in color through a program.

    PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

    Hey @robertsinclair,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have problems with printing in black only from your printer Laserjet M177fw range when you use Bistrack. The printer works properly black from other programs, the problem is with Bistrack. I suggest you contact their support solve your problem.

Either way, I'll mention that the printer still uses a little color when printing in black as a base to give your impressions the sharp looking you would expect from a Laserjet. If the printer gives you a warning that you are very low on a color toner, replace it. This time will keep your bright impressions and will prevent the printer to get damaged.

Please let me know if this resolves your problems or if you go to a resolution. If you do, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
