  Hi all

  I'm positive, that I've read this in many posts before mine, or in related presentations, or the deployment of the guides, but I find it difficult to find this info now.

  I'm looking for is a simple real explanation of how VCS-C/E or Expressway-C/E pairs (or single instances) would be required for a deployment of CUCM that wanted to allow external Collaboration (if communication B2B, both the SIP and H.323), more access mobility (i.e. remote workers using Jabber or other devices for VPN less access), as well as integration with the existing H.323 estate and maybe even the comments Jabber thrown into the mix?

  As far as I understand, MRA and external Collaboration must be on separate pairs of the highway, but I can't remember if the license VCS without Expressway (although I think that it's free) can be used to provide collaboration B2B access, or if something is necessary precisely for H.323.

  you will find in the annex a PDF where on page 6-7, 16-20 is a short explanation of the difference between VCS - C/E and Expressway-C/E, also on their differences in license.
  In short - used only for ARM Expressway, Expressway-C cannot be SIP/H.323 in the office, just as a proxy for CUCM (AFAIK).

• Windows 10-12 Pro Workstation - host host hangs

  I use a dual monitor Workstation 12 Pro (upgrade for a couple of years) on a circuit that uses Windows 7.  I've recently upgraded the host Windows 10 Pro operating system.

  In general, I have 2-3 virtual computers comments running both with a mix of Linux, Windows 7, windows 10 and windows 8.1.

  When the host is Windows 7, I sometimes had problems with the host freeze and lock up when windows 8.1 system was running.  The only solution was to reboot.  It seemed to occur frequently, if the host has made a windows update check.

  Now that I've upgraded to Windows 10, it takes a few minutes to an hour for one of my virtual machines to cause the host of freeze-up.  By changing my strategy to group system, I put Windows Update to warn me before installing updates.  For example, Windows Update may not be the problem.

  I ran all the usual equipment diagnostics and nothing comes up.  I've updated all my drivers at latest.

  The host is not completely stuck, as I heard the rotating hard drives and I can ping the host.  However, no network of top-level service is sensitive, such as sharing files, WMI, remote registry service, etc.  The mouse is blocked in "waiting."  The taskbar does not respond and CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing.  After the reboot, the windows event logs show nothing of interest.  I enabled debugging of VMware, but nothing unusual appears in newspapers.

  I disabled 3D hardware acceleration for the guest virtual machines.  Nothing seems to work.

  Any ideas on the best way to sort this?

  OK, I noticed that right at the time of a recent deadlock, that a bunch of automatic maintenance tasks were running with Windows 10.  Using Task Scheduler, I disabled all associated Windows 10 automatic maintenance tasks:

  -File history

  -DiskCleanup

  -Defrag

  -Maintenance

  -Windows Defender

  -Application Data\DsSvcCleanup

  -Chkdsk

  -MemoryDiagnostic

  -MUI

  -Power efficiency diagnostic

  Since then, I've been running without a deadlock during the night, which is a record since the update of Windows 10 for the host, but far from ideal.  I cross my fingers that this solves the problem.

• Error ORA-445

  I am getting error very frequently on some of the objectives below:

  When contacted Oracle supports, they say its an OS problem. I don't know where to start debugging from. I checked the trace file generated by the respective incident also, but could not do anything. I got the name of the adrci command file

  Hi Onkar,

  You say you have this error on some targets (databases?). So I think that it is not a question of data base, but it's VM/material. The underlying material could be extremely busy, or if errors occur during the filming of a VM backup/snapshot?

  BTW: replace you the xxxxxx of 240 or something like that?

• To comment on pdf in 2013 of SharePoint files

  Our Department has recently started to update SharePoint sites, from 2010 to 2013. An important feature that works on the sites of 2010 is the ability to open a pdf file stored and change the pdf file by using the annotation tools.

  This feature does not work in SharePoint 2013 sites. Is there a file I can download a library of admin that will re-enable this feature?

  Commenting in the web browser has been deprecated this is the reason why you aren't able to edit PDF files.

  One way is to download the PDF files, change using the annotation tool in Reader & then load them back.

  Another option is to use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC continuous (download using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution) and then use the function 'Add an account' to add the SharePoint account.

  Once the account is added, you will be able to directly open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC & change it using the annotation tool and save it.

• Problem with cursor Mixed Signal graphic LV 2013

  I'm trying to create a function that puts the cursor at a specific point on the x axis. When I send the value, the cursor behaves normally. When I send the value (even when you use a constant) the cursor will keep oscillating between the previous position and entered the property node.

  This will not occur when you use a XY Chart, only with a multi signal. Is this a bug or I'm doing something obviously wrong? Here is an excerpt of my comic.

• Acer S277HK 4K - retina of Macbook Pro 13 "(model end 2013)

  Hi Forum - I recently bought an Acer S277HK 4 K/60 Hz monitor and use as an external monitor with my Macbook Pro retina 13 "(modèle de fin 2013)."  I am connected using the "Cable issues Mini DisplayPort / Mini Displayport 4 K ready cable" to connect macbook to monitor.  So far, I cannot get the resolution of Acer to reach 4K / 60 Hz.   I did a lot of research on various forums and sites as possible and so far, everything I've seen leads me to believe that my MBP 13 '' end 2013 retina should support a 4K connection / 60 Hz, but so far, am not able to achieve this.  Someone has advice on how I can solve reach higher in the Acer external monitor resolution?  I've seen a few comments need to use 'switchrex' to adjust the settings, but no indication on this is extremely appreciated!  Thank you.

  A 4K cable does not mean it is 1.2 DP.

  The monitor configuration screens has an option to support 1.2 DP? Some do it.

• YouTube comments are not displayed

  When I look at a video on YouTube, the comments section does not load. Comments load with other browsers (e.g.Safari).

  The problem is probably caused by lightbeam.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
  • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

• Satellite Pro U400-130 - Conexant and 'Stereo Mix' in question

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-130 (downgraded from Vista to XP) with the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 "audio card" installed.

  Although this seems to support HD audio, I can't find any option to use or activate the "Stereo Mix" option in the Windows console. I tried a few settings to registry and some different drivers, but so far, the option remained absent.

  I know this forum and other comments on the net that Conexant audio cards do not support the stereo mix, but I was wondering if someone could confirm that this is certainly the case for SmartAudio 221?

  Similarly, anyone know of another method to record the sound 'as heard' on the computer? So Far, the options appear to be a) buy an external sound card, or b) connect the plug headphone mini-jack on the mic with a cable jack.

  After using a p3500 old Portege of 8 quite happy with this function (actually pretty basic), it is very disappointing to find that this card cannot support it.

  I can confirm this because I have a laptop (NOT from Toshiba one) that was equipped with the Conexant audio chip and the other laptop (Toshiba Satellite a series has) that supports the Realtek audio chip.

  The machine with Realtek audio chip contains stereo mix and the other non-Toshiba unit that supports the audio chip Conexant does not support the stereo mix

  As far as I know the update of the driver won't help you because it looks like a hardware limitation of chip Conexant!

  I just bought a Satellite Pro L300, to use for DJing. I use a Behringer USB mixer, and when I plugged it to the top there is a sound really bad comments coming out of my speakers.

  I tested it in the headphone jack output by connecting the laptop directly to my sound system and I hear the same comments.
  I went to check through troubleshooting and audio driver settings, everything seems fine.

  I thought then he might have been a problem to the ground, so disconnected the power to the laptop and it worked, the Larsen effect stopped. I tried to use a different power supply to an old laptop and the noise starts again.

  Is there anyway that I could solve this problem? I need to run food as the custom of the last battery life long enough while I DJ.

  I agree with you and Akuma appears that this noise is related to the question of land
  In many cases, different people said they could solve this by using a 3 cable and AC adapter power cord.
  These special adapters can be ordered from the authorized service partner.

  The 4 and 8 GB sticks are not saved while the sticks of 16 and 32 GB are registered. As you seem to know, you can not mix registered and unregistered sticks. For example, you can only add 4 or 8 GB sticks to your present 8 GB sticks

  Our network of comments Airport Extreme (7.7.3) has stopped working.  We moved offices and even if my MacBook Air (13-inch mid-2013, El Capitan 10.11.3) can see the two networks, the option of comments does not connect to internet at all.  I did a reset of the Airport (essentially started above) and always the option of comments does not connect.  All software are up to date.  AAACCCKKKKK!

  You probably had AirPort Extreme to the old office set up as a router to provide DHCP and NAT services for the network.

  Now, the AirPort Extreme in the new offices may have probably been implemented in Bridge Mode to work correctly with the "new" network  If this is the case, then the guest network will not work correctly when the AirPort Extreme in Bridge Mode.

  Check this option as follows:

  Open Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility

  Click on the image of the AirPort Extreme

  Click on edit in the window that appears

  Click on the network at the top of the next window tab

  

  Check the settings for the router Mode.  Is is "Off (Bridge Mode).

  If so, the guest network is unable to function properly in this environment.
