Network of comments Airport Extreme (7.7.3) has stopped working

Our network of comments Airport Extreme (7.7.3) has stopped working.  We moved offices and even if my MacBook Air (13-inch mid-2013, El Capitan 10.11.3) can see the two networks, the option of comments does not connect to internet at all.  I did a reset of the Airport (essentially started above) and always the option of comments does not connect.  All software are up to date.  AAACCCKKKKK!

You probably had AirPort Extreme to the old office set up as a router to provide DHCP and NAT services for the network.

Now, the AirPort Extreme in the new offices may have probably been implemented in Bridge Mode to work correctly with the "new" network  If this is the case, then the guest network will not work correctly when the AirPort Extreme in Bridge Mode.

Check this option as follows:

Open Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility

Click on the image of the AirPort Extreme

Click on edit in the window that appears

Click on the network at the top of the next window tab

Check the settings for the router Mode.  Is is "Off (Bridge Mode).

If so, the guest network is unable to function properly in this environment.

  • Can't get the Time Capsule network to see Airport Extreme?

I have a network set up through my Time Capsule and I want to express with my Airport Extreme, the problem is that I can't get the network to see Airport Extreme - or rather, we'll see, but when I try to connect to it, it starts to connect, and then I get an unexpected error. I tried to restore both their factory settings and did a restore forced several times to the Airport Extreme, but nothing helped. I made sure to affect my IPv6 link-local only, I've even re-created my network several times (always with the Capsule of time as the main base station, but nothing seems working.

Any ideas would be very useful.

The Airport Extreme and time Capsule have been purchased during the last month, and I'm under OS10.11.1

First of all, try to update your software El Capitan to the current version of operation... 10.11.4... which was supposed to solve some of the bugs that cause the message "unexpected error".

If still no help, try using an iPhone or an iPad for the configuration.  After the back if you don't know how to proceed.

  • I just got a new modem (Arris SB6190) and now my Airport Extreme does not connect.  It worked fine with the previous modem (a rented one TWC).  Help!

I just got a new modem (Arris SB6190) and now my Airport Extreme does not connect.  It worked fine with the previous modem (a rented one TWC).  Help!

Always recommended to reset the airport back to settings by default and then set up again whenever you have a new modem or change your Internet Service provider.

Turn off the new modem for at least 30 minutes. More is better.

Perform a hard reset on the AirPort Extreme, then it turned off.

Make sure that the Ethernet cable connects the modem to the "O" on the AirPort Extreme WAN port

After the power of the modem 30 minutes down, turn on the modem and let it run for at least 5 minutes by itself.

Then, turn on the airport and let it run a few minutes

    Set up AirPort Extreme again

Important note... There are many reports of problems with the modem Arris SB and airports. Both are great products, but they do seem to work perfectly together for some users.

  • Lightning network adapter has stopped working

    Hello

All of a sudden, my (original Apple) map network Thunderbolt has stopped working. I'm looking for advice to get it working again without reinstalling. This is the second time in 6 months that it happened, and the last time a reformatting it fixed and restore my entire user account does not restore the problem, so all signs point to something in the heart of the system and not "userland".

Why I know that the adapter is not the problem:

-Adapters two colleagues also do not work

-Adapter works very well in recovery, but not once started

    What happens when I plug:

-Lights led network switch, so a link is established

-L' adapter remains 'red' in the network settings

    -dmesg shows:

    IOThunderboltSwitch < 0 > (0x0): listenerCallback - HPD Thunderbolt package for road port = 0 x 0 = 1 disconnect = 0

    [Start of PCI configuration]

[End of PCI, bridges 14, 15 devices configuration]

    No obvious signs of problems.

Steps taken to solve the problems:

-If I delete the card of network settings, I can never add again; He simply never shown even if it is plugged in and the link light is on the switch.

-Crushed/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and restarted. Always impossible to add the interface, as mentioned above, it never appears.

At this point, I am of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

My network card on my Inspiron 1750 has stopped working suddenly. I left the computer, while I was working online, went for about 2 hours, and when I came back, I wasn't online more. • Windows 7 error: "Windows Explorer has stopped working" when you try to connect to network shares.

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop - clean, no upgrade. It's in the CARDS and not a copy of the beta version. When I try to connect to a network share, I get an error. "Windows Explorer has stopped working". If I go to start > run and type in \\servername\users, I'm prompted credentials. I enter domainname\administrator, then the password, as soon as I get an error message indicating that "Windows Explorer has stopped working" then by «Windows Explorer restarts...» "and then refreshes the screen. If I open computer > network > Servername, I invite myself again for credentials, but get the same message. The name of username/password combo does not seem to make a difference.

An additional singularity, I went to control panel > "Backup of your computer", and when I was invited to a network location back up my system, I gave him the same set of location and network credential and the system have been successfully saved to the network drive.

Press Win Logo key + R, type: fsmgmt.msc

    You see your own actions?

If so, open the credentials manager in Control Panel and look for an entry like your network logon. Delete who can clear up.

  • Network slow 2nd Airport Extreme AC reviews

    Hello:

We have two units of the Airport Extreme AC. One of them (the principal) is connected to our cable modem, and the other (secondary) is connected to the primary via ethernet.  The secondary AC unit allows to extend our networks wireless in another part of our House.  We used the Airport 6.3.6 utility to configure both units in HQ.

We have three different wireless networks.  One of them is our 5G, the other 2. 4 g, and the third is our network of comments.  5G and 2.4 G networks have the same password, and the guest network has a different password.

Everything seems to work perfectly, with the exception of the network invited on our secondary AC unit only.  It is very slow; less than 2 Mbps using speedtest.net.  All our other wireless networks (including comments on the primary AC network) to the Internet from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps speeds.

A few more details.  Our secondary air conditioning unit is configured in Bridge mode, and it's 'creation' (not extending not) our wireless networks.  This secondary unit was created in this way by the Airport utility.

Anyone has an idea why our network comments on the secondary AC unit is so slow?

    Thank you!

It is a problem with the design of the network.

  • Need help with network home using Airport extreme

I need help with my home network.  I'm not very aware when it comes to all things network.  Here's how my network is currently set up.

Cable modem to Airport Extreme for Gigabit Switch.  Cables come out of the switch to all areas of the House.  I have 2 other extreme airport connected in other rooms of the House directly on the wall that dates back to the switch.  I hope I am explaining that properly.

My problem is that this seems to have caused some of my connections cable does not work.  When everything is configured, it has worked well.  All connections in the House worked.  Then we have disconnected one of the extreme airport and moved to another location in the House to have the best wifi coverage.  Since that time, a lot of the ethernet wall plugs are not working.  For example, when I plug in my Macbook Pro in making ethernet in my kitchen, it says connected but it has an assigned ip address and cannot connect to the internet.

Any help you can provide would be great.

I would like to get the return tech to help you to...

But it is likely that something (or someone) has tampered with the settings.

The layout is fine... but you can cause problems with the network by creating a loop.

This can happen because the AE you moved is connected wrongly... somewhere in the network it is connected to the switch again.

Or AE is set to expand wireless... It's FAKE... It will loop the network on the back main EI wireless.

Unplug the two AE you have that function as extensions...

Turning off everything else... then it works again...

    Do it in this order.

    Modem... Wait 2 min

    AE... Wait 2 min

    Switch.

Now check that the network is working properly... power of customers in various locations and make sure everything is good.

If so, then manually reset the two AE of factory and redo their installation.

  • Add a second macbook air, now the airport extreme has stopped working

I got a new (for me) 2012 macbook air to replace my MBA 2010 last night. I had another macbook air on the network to download some files in iCloud. As soon as I started the MBA new upward across the network crashed. (Features were always connection ac Airport Extreme router, green light, but no internets).

Restart the router helped briefly before the problem comes back. When I connect with the new MBA, I had seen an error there are two Macbook Air on the network and it was changing the name of one of them.

I read somewheres that download great traffic and a lot of features sometimes overwhelms the airport extreme (huh? not very extreme), so I made the turn power off the wireless on iPad, apple tv and the old MBA. This, most reboot the router and the modem seemed to do the trick for a while, until that there no more.

I read around DiscoveryD and the problems with Hello. Will try this angle when I go home.

I see here that maybe I need to reset (rather than just reboot) my router now that there's a new kid on the block - the new MBA.

    Any other ideas?

Where did you got your 'new' MacBook Air? Apple or an evening private? If the latter, it can be configured as such not "play well" with your existing home network. If you have received this by a private party, I strongly suggest you reload a clean version of the feature of MacOS X. In this way you will start with a Mac "out-of-the-box" and should have an easier time getting connected to your network without problem.
