commissioning assistant hp support

I just up dated to the latest version of the wizard of taking in charge of hp after some install problems. Now when I click on the shortcut icon desk top HPSA - the user account permissions window will appear asking me if I want to allow this program to make changes, - I click on Yes and then I'm in a HPSA. - should it happen?

This happens with other programs I have, but the other desktop icons have a shield of account user access on them, so I know I have to grant permission to open these programs, HPSA doesn't have this type of icon.

HP G61 410SA WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT - SP1 - I think!

Dedge

Hi Dedge,

He in fact

First of all, it would be normal to get a UAC prompt when accessing the HDD test - why the test fails is another matter!

Can you check the following and let me know.

1. that we have made some changes to HPSA, open windows control panel, open administrative tools, open Services, right-click on the HP Support Assistant Service entry and select properties - make sure that the startup type is still listed as Automatic.  If she is back to the default Automatic (delayed start), change it using the drop down and click on apply to save the changes.  In the Services list, right-click on the entry Service of Framework for the HP software and select properties - change the Startup Type to Manual and click on apply to save this change.

2 close Notepad.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the BIOS (usually f10) and on the Advanced tab or diagnostic, you should find the possibility to run tests on the hard drive.  If there are error messages generated, take note of them and let me know.

Best regards

  • Impossible to reinstall HP Support Assistant HP Support 600.

I uninstalled HP Support Assistance after he kept the opening with errors.  When I tried to reinstall the program I got the message, "system does not meet the minimum requirements. Update has been canceled (1602)

    Hello

The error you describe is usually the result of the corrupted registry keys, then try the following.

Unless you still have the installer, download the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - download links are to the bottom of the page - and Save the installer to your download folder.

    http://h18021.www1.HP.com/helpandsupport/HP-support-Assistant.html

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7 - Zip on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

With 7 - Zip installed, right-click the HPSA installer you download earlier, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files and then click Ok.  The newly extracted folder, right-click on UninstallHPTCA and select "Run as Administrator" - you may well see no progress this uninstallation attempt, then leave the PC slowing down for a good 10 minutes before restarting it.

Open your download folder and delete previously "extract file" so that you end up with just the HPSA Installer.

Now run Microsoft 'Fixit' on the link to install the new version of HPSA.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

Now it installs Ok and if so, it works properly?

    @redscarlett

HP Support Assistant can add Printers to the list of devices.

The description provided in the HPSA program directs evil; the explanation in the white paper is more accurate.

There is no manual method to add the monitor to the HPSA program.

  • Assistance to support uninstalled automatically and now cannot install.

    Hi, I'm on an Alienware 17 R3.

Support assist took me to some driver updates after which help Support was lacking. tried to reinstall support help to no avail. Each facility is the same termination dialog box

Rebooting did not help either. Tried system restore - came to help back Support-, but on opening the program ended by saying incompatible.

And then tried to install new and even dialog box

Online diagnosis now does not work because after system detects support help don't do not settle.

I am a frequent user of support help and Bank above strongly. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello Akshay,

    1. have you already attempted to reboot the system and then try to delete the folders and files completely? If this is not the case, can you please try to restart the operating system, and as soon as the operating system appears, try to delete the folder.

    2. If the step above does not work can you open the administrator command prompt and run the following command: del /f /s /q /a "C:\". ""

Some of the files are maintained for a successful uninstall and that is why you are not able to install properly. If the steps above do not work, we will have to use process Explorer tool to identify the process of locking these files. We will look at this later

Also, can you please confirm if Dell Support help Agent has been correctly uninstalled system?

    Thank you

  • Assistant HP support on laptop

After doing a check up to an exclamation point came on HP Support assistant click the taskbar for laptop. Important action. Then when I open HP support assistant have found no further information as to what measures are necessary. Then, after a stop down and a reboot, the exclamation point is gone! I don't know that it is the second time that this has happened

    Hello wiggie:

A few times the HP Support assistant displays the exclamation point because your anti-virus does not fully kick in. Very probably warning you that the fire wall is off. That's why he disappears when you open it. Because anti virus has kick entirely and HP Support assistant message is closed. Is my computer sometimes, but it's the fire wall is off. Once the anti virus is responsible. The message disappears. You must be very fast to catch the message.  It's also let you know that the HP Support Assistant works as it is supposed to in the background by displaying the message. frrw

  • 15-r014TX HP: hp support assistant stopped working

HP support Assistant has stopped working on my hp 15 laptop r014tx. After this problem I uninstall hp support assistant and download the new assistant hp support Setup and intall but problem sloved not it still does not.

I have upload a screenshot that show what happens when I open hp support assistant. There is mistake to see the then stopped.

    After that happens

    then it closes automatically.

Please tell me how I can solve this problem.
my pc is all software up to date.

    Hi @rhl_yadav,

    Thank you for your response.

You said if you reinstall Windows, it works very well for a few days, but then comes back.

When it works, and before it fails, what is changing?

If you are not sure, please do a HP PC - refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8) to get it working again.

Although this should not affect your personal data, I do not pretend to make a backup to ensure no data gets lost.

Create a restore point that you can go back.  Computers HP - using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

Watch closely to see if you can determine what has changed the origin of this difficulty.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion Notebook N9R33EA # a: problems with the BIOS update (HP Support Assistant)

I was offered an update of software SP77359, which seems to me to be an update of the BIOS provided by HP Support Assistant. Version F.82Ap1. Two days ago, I updated the BIOS via the support and, on the report wizard got an other update via the support Wizard. I applied this patch to find that it was still an other BIOS update and now, which has been applied this third update has appeared. Please let know us how I do.

The model number of my machine is actually N9R33EA #ABU (as reported by the Assistant to support) but ths was too long to type in the name of the product.

Your laptop is a HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab208na (ENERGY STAR) for later use.

I wouldn't update. Simply click the X to remove the download and install the list in the help Wizard.

The current version on your laptop support portal is F.8.1

  • HP and HP Support Assistant update

Is it necessary to have and use the updated HP and HP Support Assistant?  HP Support Assistant does not have everything HP Update done more more? It seems that HP Support Assistant was created to replace HP Update.

    Hello:

    I agree with you.

The support assistant is a program that includes the search for updates and other features such as air upward, etc..

I see no need for both (in fact, I see no need of either).

I mean this... I would like to change the default value of the assistant to support the definition and automatically download and install updates. I read where this thing was running updates the BIOS in the background while people were working on their PC with antivirus running programs, etc., than to have bad things happen.

If you like the support Wizard, my recommendation is to change the setting to warn and let me choose which updates to install - or what is the closest option to the default.

  • The HP ENVY TS m7 laptop: how to make an HP Support Assistant icon to appear in the Notification area of the taskbar Windows 10?

I am running Windows 10 (x 64) (build 10586) on my laptop HP ENVY TS of m7 with HP Support Assistant 8.1.40.3. I'm used to seeing the blue Support Assistant of circular background of question mark icon located on the right side of my taskbar Windows in the notification area, just to the right of the up-carat for 'display the icons '.

However, about 2 days ago the Assistant to support automatically downloaded and installed the latest version of himself. The '? ' icon disappears from the notification area of the task bar and appeared to place on my desk. I clicked on the desktop, and then click icon on "PIN to Desktop". It pinned icon Assistant decision-making support on the left side of my taskbar with icons for Windows Store File Explorer and other icons open programs.

I tried just dragging the icon Wizard help to the right of the Notification area of the taskbar, but that cannot be done. Please give me detailed instructions on how to get back the icon wizard helps to where I'm used to seeing.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

Another option, you may need to check is the following.

    Launch of HP Support Assistant.

Click the gable of parameters to the upper right.

In the following Panel, make sure the "show an icon in the taskbar" entry (see the option highlighted in the image below) is checked - if not, click in the box enter a tick, then click on the "Save" button.
