Compaq dc 5700 format microtour Proccesor update

Hello ; I have a HP Compaq dc5700 microtour with a Dual - Core 32-bit Intel clocked at 1.8 GHz processor, I want to upgrade to any type of processor 64 - bit, as a dual processor an Intel i3 or i5 or four-core 64-bit, so I can upgrade it 3 Gib ddr2 Ram to 8 Gio of Ram ddr2 can I do?

Hello:

Here is the link to the quickspecs for your dc5700.

http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/12545_ca/12545_ca.PDF

The list of processors supported on pages 7 and 8.

No intel processors series io will work. No quad cores will not work.

There are a few other E7xxx series processors that will work if you update the BIOS to the latest version but IMO, it's not worth the fight because the multiplier is only half what it should be.

If you have an installed Intel E6xxx series processor now, you can run a 64-bit operating system.

    Yes, there is a jumper.

NOTE: The password jumper is green so that it can be easily identified. To locate help

  • HP Compaq dx2300 format microtour CPU Upgrade requires the bios update

Hey, my Hp compaq dx2300 format microtour came with a core2duo E4400 processor, I had an E8400 CPU because they share the same socket LGA compatible on the motherboard and it fits perfectly, only the pc does not start, then read around some sites say it is supported by my MSI motherboard A 0, 90, others only reported up to E6700 what I don't understand, is why it wouldn't work? I BIOS v1.14 (latest news on the list of dated drivers '2008'!) and can't seem to find a solution for this, please tell me what to do I don't want to be stuck with a CPU, I can't use cause it isn't a way to map mother read it, thanks in advance!

    Hello:

Unfortunately, you're stuck with an E8400 which won't work in this PC.  See page 4.

Here are links to the quickspecs for your model.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/12668_na/12668_na.PDF

An E8400 processor will not work in any case with x chipset Intel 94 or 96 x chipset.

In order to run an E8400 into a PC, there need an Intel 3 series chipset or 4 of the series.

Of course a processor must adapt to an outlet, but is not the only criterion needed to make it work.

  • HP Compaq dx2000 format Microtour - upgrading graphic support dual monitor?

Hi, I have a question about the HP Compaq dx2000 format Microtour. The link to the form is here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&ContentType=support...

I was asked to provide a solution for this machine that will support dual monitor. Can someone tell me please on a possible graphics card I buy (probably second-hand) that will be compatible with the motherboard on this machine and will also support dual monitor?

    Thank you very much!

    Paul

    Hello:

If you only run XP and don't have no plan to upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7 and just VGA (not DVI) output, this PCI video card should work for you, and your machine has only PCI slots.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/PNY-nvidia-fx5200-Dual-VGA-DDR-256MB-video-card-PCI-/160704820819?PT=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item256ac0f653

You will need to read the installation manual on the support page and the driver of your PC because I believe that you need to change a setting in the BIOS to the PCI card to the video card main.

Or you can search for a similar PCI card with a DMS-59 output with video split cable that goes to two monitors.

  • HP Compaq dx2300 format microtour missing PCI Simple Communications Controller Driver (Modem?). WinXP

    Hello

I had to restore a HP Compaq dx2300 format microtour Win XP system from the recovery partition.

Everything seemed to work fine except no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.

There was no modem in Device Manager.

I downloaded the driver for the modem on the HP website, but it will not identify / install the driver.

Remains of the error. (no driver found for PCI Simple communication controller.)

    Any Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    My apologies to Paul.

Your label says HP Expert 2014. I made a mistaken assumption that you were part of HP.

I agree that it probably isn't a standard part of HP. I also looked at their specs and the database driver.
I tried to use never version on the HP web site for their standard model for Agere 56 K PCI Modem driver. He did not consider it as one appropriate driver.

However, I could only identify a compatible driver using a new pilot identifier utility (new to me at least).

    It seems to work.

I think I'll keep it in my toolbox in the future.

  • What is the link for "HP Compaq dc5800 Business PC microtour - overview"?

    HP dear community!

I spent a good part of the search yesterday for the current list of processors (CPU) that works with my computer format microtour dc5800.  I was looking for a document that I found for my dc7700, titled: "HP Compaq dc7700 Business PC Convertible Minitowers - view of all.  For the dc7700, 'Preview' was only 6 pages long, but gave a list of CPU and memory to select from with confidence, they will work!  Finally, I 'GOOGLÉ': "Updates for dc5800" and found a link from HP on my question...  He me related to the document, "quickspecs' for the dc5800!  I was shocked to find the 'Google' link since I specifically asked the Community Forum of HP for the availability of the Document and has not responded to any existing document.  Then, I realized the 'Google' link took me to HP Canada! and I was able to copy an updated list of the CPU and memory guaranteed to work on my dc5800!

I was extremely happy to get information, but was disappointed, I ended up finding information of the community Canada HP Forum; and through Google!   Best regards, wfejnieh2

    Greetings, Paul!

The link you provided in your response is exactly the same material that I received from the Canadian community.  When I linked to the community of the Canada, the question I was looking for had already answered!  I was confused initially (last night), because their layout was a bit different than ours. and I didn't realize immediately that I had reached the HP community! assuming that I was still in the "United States" (especially since I logged my identity here).  My 'icon' (they associated with my identity) was a photo of the CN Tower in Toronto (I LOVE Toronto! What a coincidence!).  It was midnight, I was stop for the night and failed to 'save' the 'link' they provided (not PDF), but managed to save the data on *.pdf for office (but without the link).

I really appreciate the response on your part! and I feel the heat from "HP communities!

Kudo! Paul!  Have a weekend splendid!  Best regards, wfejnieh2
