So say you that my computer can handle a 60mbs speed?

Hello

As mentioned above, I do not know the REAL speed of your perspective of fibro, but If it is only 60 MB/s (I'm not belive this number) then your machine takes care of everything. In fact, you machine can handle any given even speed 8.lorsque and standard the only problem: you pay for high speed, but only get slow speed. Again, I do not think number 60 mb/s.

Kind regards.

  • Compaq Presario 5400US - need network drivers for XP Home Edition. Wired connection.

It woun't connect to internet using a good modem and cable (other PC connect successfully using this same equipment). When I type IPCONFIG, I get 2 results, one for Local Area Connection2 for LAC3. Two of them have 169.254.xxx.xxx IP addresses. Both Suffixes DNS blank and empty default gateways.

When I go into network connections, the LAC2 says "Limited or no connectivity", but it lists a Linksys LNE 100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter. Linksys? I don't have any Linksys product. LAC3 says 'Connected' with the help of a WAN network driver. However, in the Notification area network connections has the same yellow triangle as LAC2. When I right click the icon in the Notification area and select "Repair" I always get the following ".." following action cannot be completed: renewing your IP address.

If I right click LAC3 (the one that says 'Connected'), click Properties, click TCP. IP and select Properties, it is set to get an IP address and an address of DNS server automatically. It is also the same for LAC2.

Client DHCP, DNS Client and call the CPP are started.

I tried ipconfig/release, ipconfig/registerdns, ipconfig/flushdns, netsh winsock reset. When I run it ipconfig / renew I get messages (after he is sitting there for 2 minutes)
An error occurred during renewal of the Local 2 network connection interface: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request timed out...
An error occurred during renewal of the Local 2 network connection interface: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request timed out...

A run chkdsk /r have run the command netsh int ip reset reset.log.

So, I went 2 network cards, restarted in the device and removed Manager and let Windows reinstall. Windows creates a new connection to the Local network (LAC4, 2 and 3 are gone). It only reads limited connectivity or none and is using Linksys LNE 100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter, like the previous LAC2. The previous LAC3, who uses the network never got WAN driver reinstalled. I don't understand.

Since an adapter Linksys on a wired connection seemed odd I have tried to find what should be the correct network driver.

I google "Compaq Presario 5400US" "driver ethernet" OR "network driver" and was taken to a page of drivers HP, which I think makes sense since HP now owns Compaq
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/s...UCT=93284#n430
This page has nothing listed for network or chipset cards.  This, of course, has no meaning for me.

    Can anyone help?

Select this version from the drop-down list on the link that I posted above.

Depending on the size of file, it does not resemble an auto install file. Accept the agreement and unzip the file into a folder.

So, download it to a folder and go to Device Manager.

Click the network card in need of drivers, and then select manual search for drivers. Navigate to the folder where you extracted the drivers and the driver should install.

    Hi, Dennis:

The motherboard in your model had issues due to run hot.

One of the victims is that the power of the slot that plugs into the wireless card is lost.

That's why the wireless card dropped out of sight.

It probably is about your present dilemma.

That's happened a lot with the dv6000/dv9000 motherboards that used the same chipset nvidia and AMD processor has your laptop.

  • Compaq Presario CQ57-339wm: I can swap different CPU into a model motherboard Celeron?

    Hey all,.

I have a laptop Compaq Presario CQ57-339wm requiring a logic board replacement. According to the sticker on the Palm, it has an Intel Celeron processor clocked to Interior.

According to the CQ57, the motherboard service manual I ordered (reference number: 646177-001) is "for use only with the computer models equipped with an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor processor and a graphics subsystem with UMA video memory.

Since I have a Celeron CPU and motherboard instead, would replace this motherboard for the work of the Board of Directors i5? I think that the mobo, I ordered does not include a processor i5, just the current Board. I could swap the chip Celeron of the old Council to the Board of Directors i5, or that wouldn't work either? I have to install a compatible rod that matches the part number of the old mobo? (646174 001).

If it won't work, I return to the Commission, as I have not yet opened and order a compatible card. Moreover, if the installation of the Board of Directors will work, and I just need the compatible CPU, I could order one that would correspond to the reference, like this eBay i3.

I think that you understood. The Celeron and Core Intel models use a different motherboard with a different chipset and processors cannot be exchanged.

I have recently upgraded the OS on my laptop PC Compaq Presario CQ60 224NR Vista Service Pack 2 to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 1.  I updated the drivers before upgrading and checked for the latest drivers after upgrade also.  After the upgrade, the keyboard of the laptop works only partially when I use a web browser.  This includes IE and Firefox.  Above the QWERTY keys do not work correctly.  If I press one of these keys or SHIFT and one of these keys, the last character, symbol, or space I typed before is repeated instead.  Y at - it a fix for this problem?

Well, I searched for several hours and found a solution, at least for me I am a customer of Comcast and I installed constant guard.  There is a key logger that is included in the package that it causes the problem.  I uninstalled GuardedID and my problem disappeared.  I hope it works for you.

After you download and install 7 - zip, download and register but do not sp46403 run.

Right-click on sp46403 and select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

I had a screen 'windows loading files', then a blue screen with a pattern on it, ray

Then it tells me to insert the disc 1 (which is already underway) and they tray pops out, so I push the mouse and the back Gets the small CD icon next to him and I hear things from disc tray. The message goes away and then the tray opens again a second later and tells me to put in disk 1... >_

I tried the disk 2 and 3, perhaps thinking that they have the project. I have NO idea why it does not work. I even went into the Setup menu and it is certainly set to boot from the hard drive...

I put in the old HDD to test the DVD/CD player and it works very well for CDs and DVDs. Not sure that it would have a flaw JUST in the ability to run the boot disks as there has never been anything to take for her (although, nothing is impossible).

  • RAM: quantity and speed for Compaq Presario CQ60-119tu - I can't understand it!

Hi, I'll have trouble determining how much & how fast the RAM is that I can install in a "new to me" old computer that I just inherited.

The manual is not very clear, it seems to say 3 GB or 4 GB, but I don't know that (Page 1-3 of the user's guide has a picture that seems to contradict itself...)    All RAM online vendors say 4 GB ', but maybe they are just trying to make more profit, I can actually use only 3 GB?

The specifications also seem to say what speed of DDR2 ram, can I use... but a computer store guy that I talked to said it's important to know.

can anyone help?  Thank you very much!

    Hello:

The info on the card product page and repair are fragmentary.

Max memory that works in your notebook is DDR2 2 x 2 GB = 4 GB.

As your laptop processor is a celeron and a 667 MHz front bus speed, which would lead me to believe that you will install memory PC2-5300 (667 MHz).

You can also install memory PC2-6400 (800 MHz), but it will downclock to 667 MHz.

The best thing to do is to confirm what I said by running memory Crucial free analysis tool, which will report how much and how fast memory you can install.

    http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

However, I'm pretty confident that what I said is correct.

I need to know what steps should I take.  This is the first time I had a test failed.  Who says failure is SMART self-test.  I have Windows 7 operating system.  Thanks for any help.

    Hello patlee7,

A SMART test failure points to your hard drive. The SMART test is designed to run tests on the hard drive and search for and identify anything that may indicate failure of hard drive. If the test fails maybe it's you letting know your hard drive may die soon.

Remember to back up your data and prepare for this eventuality. If you do not wait for the right drive die you can consider replacing the hard drive in the machine.

The same behavior is present in Mode safe mode with networking?

Turn it on, then press F8 once per second to get the advanced boot menu.

Select Mode safe mode with networking.

This will help to check if it's a hardware problem or a software like problem drivers and registry are not quite the same thing in safe mode.
