  Hi Ayman,

  As a general rule of thumb, there should be no limitation to install Kaspersky on Windows 2000 with ACS 4.2.

  In the past, we have seen problems with some anitviruses, such as Norton, for example, block the ACS services.

  Unfortunately, the AVs and releases are too different between them to build a specific compatibility matrix.

  As said, nothing should prevent ACS 4.2 to work when Kaspersky is installed, as long as Kaspersky does not block specific ports/services.

  Method 1:

  Temporarily turn off the firewall and Antivirus

If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  Method 2: Step 1:

  Try to run Internet Explorer mode without modules and check if the same problem occurs, here's the link:

  Step 2: Use Manage Add-ons to determine which add-on is causing the problem.

  a. open Internet Explorer 8.

  d. for each item in this list, select the add-on and then click Disable in the information window.

  e. When you have disabled all of the items in this list, click OK.

  f. exit, and then restart Internet Explorer.

  h. click Activate for a simple add-on.

  i. Repeat steps f through h until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

  Set IE as the default web browser and check the status.

  Yes.  It is a tool on demand and not in real time thus creates no problems or conflicts with the other application in real time, including Kaspersky Antivirus.

  You can not run 2 antivirus at the same time programs which is what you do. When you stall Avira it disabled Windows Defender and some third-party Antivirus do not play nice in Windows 8.0/8.1.  My advice would be to uninstall Avira via the Control Panel, then go to the site Avira and download and run their removal tool. Then, restart your computer. Windows Defender and Windows Firewall must now be on, l but check in the center of the Action. Windows Defender is more than able to defend your computer. You can also download and run Malwarebytes free version and you can run only occasionally but do not activate the free trial of pro.  Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  Your best bet is to ask Kaspersky.  They are the only ones who know the product.  We cannot but support here Microsoft products and it is the responsibility of Kaspersky so that they work with it.

  IMHO, I would never use Kaspersky on all my computers.  I saw several times down too much.

  You can try to reset internet explore (Tools-> internet option-> advance tab, then reset) and see if the problem is resolved. Alternatively, you can try to contact your ISP and ask them for help, they could provide you with the configuration information.

  You should never run more than one anti-virus program.  However, the 7 Windows Defender is an anti-spyware, not an anti-virus, so both running program should not be a problem.

  I went the same route. I started to want to learn web design and the Muse is an excellent tool. The code it generates, however, not to use it in Dreamweaver. This could be done, I think this isn't worth it, even for a real Geek. Once you get to Muse you will find there are things missing, stuff, you want to do, but are just tough in Muse or you can buy a widget. It is possible in DW and you get which through subscription, so it makes sense. Me what I know now, I'll go directly to DW to learn, except if you want results right now. If you don't want something to cause I stay with Muse and maybe learn to animate CC to add some pizazz to the site. If you only want a simple layout and a couple supporting stick with Muse pages if you want a larger site use DW. If you click the icon it opens adobe reader. I deleted Adobe reader using Add or remove programs and the icons back to normal. Yet once, I downloaded and installed Adobe reader 11. the problem has resurfaced. then again, I've uninstalled adobe reader software and installed Adobe Reader version 10 with the same question back. I have now uninstalled Adobe Reader. Please advise on how to install a working copy Adobe reader which will not infect or impinge upon other programs in my laptop.
